How can I repair organizer in adobe photoshop elements 6.0?

I ran the optimizer in Norton and after that I couldn't get to the organizer in adobe photoshop elements 6.. When I try to reinstall the program it says to "insert disc 1". (I am sure you know because lots of people with adobe have this same problem) There is only on CD installation disc named Adobe Photoshop Elements 6. Like a dope I went to the welcome page and clicked it to open with the organizer (which is broken). So now it sure won't open. Before I got the message that it had to close and was so sorry!!
Now I would like to know if I can uninstall 6 and if I do will it come back exactly as it left or will it be repaired and would my slideshow still be there? I've only spent a year making it and it was just about ready to make a DVD.

I just uninstalled and re-installed as you suggested. As far as I can tell everything is there. I got so happy with the uninstall & re-install that I did the same for the Adobe Premiere Elements. As I said I have been working on family pictures slideshow (family pics that I only have one set of and want to give to 4 children) for almost a year. I have put classical music to it (because that is what I like). I have it ready to send to Premiere Elements to make a DVD.

I purchased a new iMac Retna Display and converted over my other software from my old iMac. Most all apps converted fine, however Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 just launched with an error stating we needed to reinstall the application. We have the original serial number but can not find a copy of Elements 11 on Adobe's site to download and reinstall. Also, we can not find any contact information for Adobe support even though the messages in the forum state we must contact adobe customer support to resolve this issue.

Haven't you been regularly syncing your phone with iTunes. If so, your contacts should already be on your computer in Outlook.
If you have not done this, you will need to create a dummy contact in Outlook and then sync the phone so the two contact lists will be merged.

I need to know how to get a copy of a picture which is entered into an application from my work-in their "gallery"-to my computer. Help!

I really need help. For work, I have to take photos of properties and answer questions about these properties on my IPhone 4. This information is entered into an app provided by my work. For each property, the photos are entered under that property and in a "gallery" for that particular property. I need to somehow transfer a few of these photos to my computer for future reference. I can't upload the photos from my IPhone, as they are not located in my pictures, or my documents, but rather in the "gallery" for that specifici property. Is there someway to copy these photos and get them into my computer? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try holding your finger on the picture for a few sec and selecting save image from the popup menu. It should save the picture to you Photos.

How Do You Use Layers in Adobe Photoshop Elements 6?

I enjoy merging photos and such together so I can create really neat images, but I am not sure how to do that with this program. I checked out the Help section, but it didn't really help me. Maybe someone on here can. Thanks!

You are asking a huge question. You'll get a better response if you ask something specific about a problem you are having with layers.
I'm not trying to be mean but you can find vast amounts of basic info on layers with a simple Google query. If you click the Video link after inputting a search query, you can even find video tutorials. YouTube is one place that has quite a few video tutorials.
How layers work hasn't changed between Elements versions. Layers work the same in Photoshop. The application interfaces may be slightly different but layers are layers.
FWIW, I'm not a big fan of the manual. You're better on getting something like "The Missing Manual" by Barbara Brundage or looking for info on the Internet. One free resource with tons of info can be found here:

The tutorials found at the above link use an older version of Elements so you won't find info on the newest tools and features but the basic Editor info on layers and the tools still apply.
