You don't sync the iPhone to the iPad. You sync both of them to iTunes, then iTunes keeps both devices in-sync.

I read the thread question differently than you did I think. I did not think the DVD in question was a commercial DVD. However, you have much more experience in this discussion board than I do. You probably have seen this question many times and assumed (apparently correctly) that it was a commercial DVD.
I was answering the question based on it being a DVD created within a work/home environment that is needed to be put on the iPad. I have been toying around with that exact process in the past week. Work training videos etc, that I have created, put on DVD then downloaded to my iPad for travel and display.

I imported my favorites from Internet Explorer, but how do I display "favorites" in the tool bar so I can access and organize them?
It did merge them after a fashion, glad I took a backup first even if I did only perhaps create 3 or 4 bookmarks today. So if I have bookmark separators, it's going to figure out which group to put them in (no way). Anyway I thought they would just go down to the bottom of the bookmarks menu like the other method, like when I export and import bookmarks in Firefox where they do go to the end of the Bookmarks Menu folder and would simply delete one folder.
Anyway this would not be typical because I don't want any bookmarks from IE. -
My iPad does not have the automatic software update and I do not know how to get IOS 6 onto it. When I go into settings there is no software update button.
If you are really on iOS 5 then look in Settings > General > Software update.
Otherwise:
If you are using iOS 4 (or earlier) there is no Software Update in Settings. That feature was first added in iOS 5.
To update you will have to connect your iPad to iTunes on a computer (preferably the one you sync with and backup to).

i finally moved from the Android world to an IPhone 5s i was wondering if anyone knows how to upload my music and pictures from my old android to either a folder on my PC or to itunes on my PC itself so that i can then sync it all to itunes so i can have all my music from my old android(HTC EVO BTW) to my new I Phone 5s?
You add music to iTunes via the File menu item in iTunes. Click on File, then Add file to library, or Add folder to library. Once the music has been added to iTunes, then you can sync to the phone. Once you have added the files/folder to the computer, you can add them to iTunes. Not exactly sure how to get the music from the phone to iTunes, but I would guess that it has something to do with however you were managing your music on the Android device.
Pictures once imported to the computer, can then be synced to the iPhone via the sync process. Once you have connected the iPhone to the computer and iTunes, then select the phone in the device list, tap on the photos tab, and select what photo folders you want to add to the phone. -

Since getting my iPad, I've had to switch the Apple ID twice and now I have a new Gmail account (old email was also Gmail). How do I sync all my apps, programs and calendars over to the new accounts? Right now I can't update old apps because the Apple ID is no longer valid and I can't get my calendar to show my new email, only the old one.
Apps are always tied to the ID with which you bought them. You cannot transfer purchased content to a new Apple ID. Are you sure that the old ID is no longer valid? Try using the old ID and password to update your apps.

What itunes is asking is would you like to import the files and settings of your ipod to your iphone? It'll import things like contacts, calendar, mail, apps with app data. If you want your phone set up just like your ipod then use that option. Otherwise pick "set up as a new device" and it'll allow you to keep the two seperate and you will be able to sync them both to your itunes independently of each other.

If you don't have app sounds - read this .....
If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

When closing and reopening Firefox, my tabs aren't restoring like they once did. I used to have all my tabs restore each time I opened Firefox. Now it starts with one fresh new tab and all my others are lost. I do a lot of research so this is important.
My history is only displaying one day even though I have never changed my settings even after I updated it last year.
Need to know how to restore these settings.
***OH! special note: I can't use the recently closed tabs or recently closed windows because its a grayed out option****Are you using cleanup software like CCleaner?
If you use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the 'Browsing History' when you close Firefox then restoring tabs from the last session ("Save & Quit" or "Show my windows and tabs from last time") doesn't work.
