John SI have the same problem. It was literally snuck in as a simple update and suddenly I couldn't upload any of my assignments. You can get rid of 7 by going to control panel and removing the Mozilla file. then look for the FF 6 upload. I warn you though. It REALLY wants to be 7. Don't allow any updates to happen or you will be in the same position.
I like Firefox and it is truly disappointing that they would force this situation. My nest step is back to IE 8 which wants to be 9. Arghh! -
What's with the new Firefox 8.0? I made the mistake of updating mine and about 30% of the icons in bookmarks disappeared. It looks like you are requiring a favicon. Anyway, BAD IDEA!!!!!
Briansyddal - you might be able to manage your phone without a PC, but many of us can't, especially those of us with large iTunes libraries. How do you propose I manage my 250GB of music using only a phone? Maybe I could go out and buy 10 iPhones and spread my library out among them!
Catz537 - I have the same problem as you and I've spent hours on the web trying to find a solution to it. It was a problem with iOS 7 and 8.1.1 doesn't fix it. The the only advice from Apple is completely useless because it requires you, effectively, to delete and recreate your iTunes library and lose all your metadata, album art, notes etc and there's also no guarantee it will work. I wish I could be more help (even more - I wish Apple could be more help) - I updated to 8.1.1 at 1400 today. At 2200 I'm still "waiting for changes to be applied" for a measly 16GB of music transfer. -

I just fix my macbook air because it was kernel panic. They changed the hard drive. I could not back up with Time Machine, because it did not work and I had over Adobe creative suite 5 design premium student. But I finished my studies last year and I'd like to know how to get the serial number for me to reinstall Adobe creative suite 5 design premium when I am no longer study because I would still like the used? This happens with every browser I try to download that isn't the old 3.0 version of Firefox
"Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now" "Remove the Cookies" from sites that cause problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
If this doesn't help, try ending any Firefox processes and completely restart it. If none of this helps you might consider you could have Malware or something nastier. Connection issues can also cause that error message. I remember having the same issue a couple of years ago and had to completely restart my PC for some reason to get the new Firefox to install. Sorry I don't have any more in depth answer.

@glennhaste, the public pages I visited seem identical in IE8 and Fx10, but you may be referring to a part of the site that requires logging in (impossible for non-customers to view).
Since the problem is so recent, can you recall any changes you made in Firefox, or are you aware of any changes your CU made on its site?
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
1. Clear Firefox's Cache
Firefox > Preferences > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Offline Storage : "Clear Now"
2. If needed, delete the site's cookies here
While viewing a page on the site, "right-click" and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies" (''Sorry, I don't know how you right-click on a Mac'')
Then try reloading the page. Does that help? -
The addons I use a lot are not compatible with Firefox 4...if I had known, I would have kept the older version....having a real hard time getting the old one back....The mozilla folder in my Programs has version 1.9 listed which is crazy...I had at least version 3.5 This is getting pretty frustrating...wish I had never switched...any help would be appreciated.....
To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

Help, please!! I just lost a year of work on my Dragon Vale game : (. I opened the app as usual and got a grey box message: "Game Centers terms of service have changed. Enter your Apple ID". Which I tried over and over to do but it would not accept it! Then another. Essage came up: "You have been logged out. Do you want to log in or vreate a new account?". The buttons below said "new accou t" and "cancel". I did not want to create a new account - I wanted my old account back so I pushed cancel. A new account page opened and my game was back at square one : (

Blackberry Messenger, E-mail not working and I am unable to connect to servers, help please?
I recently got a blackberry curve 8520 contracted with virgin media, with my package I get free BBM/ email services free. However both services haven't worked in 4 weeks. I cannot connect to any servers and error code (65), whatever it means, pops up every time I try to log into Windows Live Messenger. I have re-sent registration messages, as instructed by the troubleshooting manual, which have been successful each time. Does someone, anyone know how to fix this?
I have tried, it is very hard to actually talk to a member of their team. As I said it worked before and I had no issues. The problem occurred over night and my phone says that I am connected to my mobile network but not blackberry internet service. I have successfully registered plenty of times. I have tried updating my phone ect but nothing has worked so far.

Sorry, Firefox 4.0 is not supported any longer due to un-patched security vulnerabilities. Firefox 5.0 was a security update for Firefox 4 and Firefox 6.0 was a security update for Firefox 5. Firefox 3.6.21 and 6.0.1 are the only two version that are currently supported. -
I am using Firefox Nightly (30.a1, 2014-02-18, x64) on my laptop computer (Windows 8.1 Pro x64) and I was using Firefox Beta on my Nexus 5 (Android 4.4.2). Recently, Mozilla announced the new Firefox Accounts system (which is replacing the old Firefox Sync Account) and I created a Firefox Account for my laptop Nightly installation. Since the new Firefox Account doesn't work with the old Firefox Sync Account, I replaced my Android installation of Firefox Beta with Firefox Nightly and signed into Firefox Account on my Android. However, when I attempt to send a tab from my Android installation to my laptop installation using the "Share to Nightly" intent, Nightly asks me to set up a Sync account, which is impossible to complete in my laptop Nightly installation. I've tried replacing my Android Nightly installation with an Android Aurora installation, but the same problem occurs.
What's worse is that even with both my laptop and Android installations signed into the same Firefox Account, I cannot see any information being synced between the 2 installations. No history is being shared, and I cannot see the open tabs list from the other device. I cannot pass tabs between my phone and my laptop, which is something I used every week as I visited websites and read my RSS feeds on my phone. Does anyone know how to share tabs using the new Firefox Accounts? I don't have the new Firefox button
I've upgraded our XP pc to Firefox & I don't have the new Firefox button - I've still got the old File - Edit etc menu at the top. The Tabs etc have all changed - it's just the button that hasn't appeared.
My husband has a different XP user on the same pc, and he does have the new button, rather bizarrely (since, presumably, we're both running the same software!).The Firefox button is only a default feature for Windows Vista and 7. To have the Firefox button in Windows XP, go to:
View > Toolbars and UNCHECK the Menu bar. Then the Firefox button should appear. Please read this article for more details:
