I need to know what kind of disk i need for my portege z835-sp3240L
I have an Portege z835-sp3240L Ultrabook and the SSD disk failed, so i need to replace it. I want to know what kind of disk i need (size, inches, etc) Please, can you give all the info about the disk. I live in Chile, so i can´t take it to a Toshiba repair place.

Essentially any capacity SATA disk that fits a laptop should do.
Best to restore the hard disk to its original out-of-the-box contents using Toshiba recovery media. All the drivers and utilities are properly preinstalled. Windows is preactivated.
If you failed to create recovery media, you can obtain it from Toshiba. Scroll down to Get Recovery Media here. Toshiba in the US will ship to Chile (see this message).

The TC is NOT an iTunes server.. it is not a media device at all. It is a backup location for Time Machine.
You need a computer in the network which stores the iTunes library and you can then play it via the ipad.
A mini with a large USB drive plugged in will work fine.. it doesn't need to be new.. a couple of years old mini will work just as well.
As an extention to this, can we use multiple Airport expresses plugged into mutiple sound systems to simultaneously access different music from the same time capsule?
I am not sure.. there will be network limitations to this.

I need to know what kind of photo paper to use on the HP Photosmart 375.
What are the specifications for photo paper to be used on the Photosmart 375. HP Advanced Photo Paper is too thick (66 lb) and won't feed through the printer. HP Premium Photo Paper (64 lb) will feed through the printer but the ink takes at least 2 hours to dry. HP sold paper in the past for injet printers which worked perfectly: it was the right thickness to feed through the printer and the ink dried instantly. Canon also sold similar paper, but both HP and Canon have changed the specs on their photo paper so that they no longer are suitable. So, I need to know what are the proper specs for a Photosmart 375 and where can I buy it. Shouldn't HP provide a suitable paper for its Photosmart 375 printer, as it did in the past?
I have had good results with HP Premium Plus Glossy photo paper. The Office Depot Brilliant Gloss Professional Photo Paper also works well for me.
In both the cases above I notice the packages have changed since I bought the paper, I do not know if this is still the same paper formulation I have.
For instant drying the HP Advanced Photo paper should be a good choice. You may need to clean the paper rollers if it does not feed properly. You can do this by gently releasing the catch on the right side (looking from the front, but the catch is on the back panel). This will allow the panel to lie flat exposing the rollers. These can be cleaned with a damp q-tip, remove any buildup on the rollers.

Having registry issues need to know what the backup disk contains PLEASE! Or any suggestions :) :)
So here's my issue I have really FUBAR'ed my laptop LOL. Basically my registry is gone kinda. I can't access any of the vital win7 programs ie Computer, IE9, Control Panel, any folders (documents, pictures music...) stuff like that. Now here's the kicker I can access my games from the start menu and some desktop shortcuts work. All the minor junk like calculator, notepad, wordpad etc. work. Hell I can even do remote desktop (weird I know). My net connection says that I am not connected however I actually am because I can access all of my files via my Desktop.
So here's what actually caused this. I downloaded and ran Cleanmypc registry cleaner ( I knew better shouldn't have touched this just a (insert choice word/s) to happen). I thought I was actually going to make it run faster after all the good reviews I poured over and didn't find any bad reviews. Before I even ran this I scanned it with Avast, Spybot, and Addaware just to make sure it wasn't full of crap!! Didnt find anything, so I continued. Ran it found several problems according to the product. Followed the instructions to the T. Let the program do a registry backup for me (I know what you are thinking I should have manually done it). My mistake. So I hit the inevitable fix all issues button and low and behold it ruined everything. I was unable to access anything and I mean everything. All my file associations where gone just like that period!!
I was even unable to run mypccleaner again. luckily though I was able to run the program via the run command kinda. The only part of the program that would actually work was the restore registry before the fix by using the backup file that the program made for me. Yea well that was a flipping joke it made it WORSE!
After all that and a few hours pouring over uneventful fixes I finally downloaded all the default registry values from Microsoft that they had for Win7 from another computer and luckily I was able to get them transferred over to my laptop (thank God for networks) But none of these files had any association so I had to manually add a few using CMD from a post that was buried in another forum until I could make a file association to regedit. Then I added the rest. So now my laptop is kinda working. I have access like I stated above but its only the minor stuff I have access to. I can't run any major program or it says no such interface supported.
So long story short I found an article here Repair Install that should work without losing everything (at this time I can't afford to do that have a DJ gig Saturday) but it says I have to have an original Win7 disk to be able to do it. So my question is if I order the backup disk from here will that disk allow me to be able to do this or am I going to have to find other means.
In all honesty if it wont that's fine I will take it and pay the money to get it repaired (don't really want to do that) as I need it in a couple days and the soonest I could have it back is two weeks. Yes I have a backup laptop but that one is down as well bad HDD LOL have to replace. Wishing now that I would have spent the money on that 1TB external HDD that I was looking at
So again my questions are. Is the backup disk that I can order from here going to be able to solve my problem and if not does anyone here have any solutions. I run VDJ Pro but it says that my soundcard isn't installed or my drivers are bad. So I tried to reinstall the drivers but windows can't find the installshield file to be able to do that. Or is there a backdoor to being able to run WMP (it's an option not a very good one but an option if I can get it to work).

I am running Win7 Home Premium on a Toshiba L555D-S70005I can't lose anything from my laptop. Never backed it up. .. ..pay the money for them to reinstall and back everything up for me.
No need for that, Richard. You can rescue all your important files by the following method. And then restore the hard disk to its original out-of-the-box contents using Toshiba recovery media.
1. Prepare a thumb drive formatted in FAT32. It doesn't need to be large. This stuff only occupies 130 MB on mine.
2. Download UNetbootin to create the thumb drive.
3. Download a Puppy Linux .iso file for the operating system.
4. Run Unetbootin-win-xxx.exe and point it to the Lupu-xxx.iso file to create a bootable drive.
5. When you power on your computer, hold down the F12 key. That should give you the opportunity to choose the boot drive.

IPhone 5 is glitching. Need to know what kind of restore to do
The apple tech said something about how I have some corrupt software and how i needed to do a certain restore.because the phone is freezing. if I just restored from a backup it would restore from the corrupt data. He said if I did it right i wouldnt have my text message history. I cant remember exactly what he said though. Any help would be great
thanks."Restore iPhone" to get a full iOS restore, then when the iPhone boots back up, it will prompt you to restore from backup to get your data back. Make sure to go to File>Devices>Transfer purchases FIRST to get your apps backed up too.

Shell Script Adapter - what kind of sudo privilege needed?
Hi All,
I have a requirement in my project where I need to manage unix user provisioning and de-provisioning by using shell scripts in AIX servers. For this purpose, I selected Shellscript adapter as it allows us to execute scripts that run on the resource.
1. while I have account in the AIX server, I need to know what kind of sudo privilege is needed. Will I need sudo access to root? if yes, does it mean, I (or my account) should be added to root? please let me know.
2. also, I tried configuring the adapter using the login id, host, password, login shell prompt, port and SSH. When i tried to test the configuration, it gave the following error,

I got this issue resolved after a fine-grained sudo setting to the account that is used for provisioning.
The revised sudo setting was able to do all the provisioning tasks without having a root access.
This is what I set on my service account
(root) /bin/awk, /bin/cat, /bin/cp, /bin/cut, /bin/grep, /bin/login, /bin/mv, /bin/rm, /usr/bin/auths, /usr/bin/cat, /usr/bin/chgroup, /usr/bin/chgrpmem, /usr/bin/chsec, /usr/bin/chsh, /usr/bin/chuser, /usr/bin/cp, /usr/bin/last, /usr/bin/lastlog, /usr/bin/listusers, /usr/bin/logins, /usr/bin/lssec, /usr/bin/mkgroup, /usr/bin/mkuser, /usr/bin/mv, /usr/bin/passwd, /usr/bin/profiles, /usr/bin/pwdadm, /usr/bin/rm, /usr/bin/roles, /usr/sbin/groupadd, /usr/sbin/groupdel, /usr/sbin/groupmod, /usr/sbin/lsgroup, /usr/sbin/lsuser, /usr/sbin/rmgroup, /usr/sbin/rmuser, /usr/sbin/useradd, /usr/sbin/userdel, /usr/sbin/usermod, /usr/sbin/logins

In this way, you need not have to be a root user to perform provisioning using AIX.

I meant within the program, not when trying to open the file. You need to convert it to be able to play in QT
Here is a screenshot to give you an idea, MPEG Streamclip is reliant on codecs and that will determine what you can convert to. If something is missing than that is a codec you need. -

You can usually find an adapter at Radio Shack or a luggage store like Mori's. Airport shops also sometimes carry them. Another way is to buy Apple World Travel Adapter Kit. In my opinion this is a little expensive unless you travel to different countries and need the assortment.

You need to plug it into your computer running iTunes and restore it. Have you tried that? If so, what happened?
