I need to make Landscape and portrait in the same file ? plz I don't want to go back to word

Hi there I am trying to have page in landscape and portrait in the same file, but I couldn't, however, if there is a way where we can perform it please advise me as I need to do that for my thesis. Am happy to work only in pages if this feature is not in pages, please find us a solution.

Export te document to PDf. Open it in Preview. Here you can rotate the a page to horisontal.

I want to produce a doc in pages which is mainly laid out as portrait, but has a series of tables (1 per page) which i want to be laid out as landscape.
I have tried to use layout break, at the start and end of the pages with the tables, but when i highlight the area for landscaping, the whole doc goes landscape. similarly if i dont highlight, andif i use section break instead of layout break.

You can rotate the tables! Press Command key and drag one corner. If you hold down Shift at the same time it will rotate with 45 degrees increment The table has to be floting, not inline!.

Try the following steps,
Sign into your computer and removal of credit card information. Here are the steps:
1) Open iTunes and sign in to the iTunes Store.
2) Select "View My Account" from the Store menu.
3) Enter your password and click the View Account button.
4) Click the Edit Payment Information button.
5) Select "None" as the payment type.
6) Click the Done button at the bottom of the page.

Assuming you are using RandomAccessFile, you can use the locking functionality in the Java NIO library to lock sections of a file that you are reading/writing from each thread (or process).
If you can't use NIO, and all your threads are in the same application, you can create your own in-process locking mechanism that each thread uses prior to accessing the file. That would take some development, and the OS already has the capability, so using NIO is the best way to go if you can use JDK 1.4 or higher.

Script to make landscape and portrait images square

I am new to scripting and could use a little help.
We are currently rebuilding our enitre website from the ground up. New look, new products, new images (about 2,800 of them). Here is where it gets tricky.
Some of the photos are landscape and others are portrait. I have resized the images to the required 200 pixels wide, but we are now running into the issue where they also need to be 200 pixels high. I could just separate them into two folders, landscape and portrait, and run two different actions, but I would prefer to run an if/than script if possible. Can someone tell me if this is possible in Photoshop? These are images of products, so there is no background.
If the image is larger than 200 pixels high, reduce the image to 200 pixels high. Then, enlarge the canvas to 200 pixels.
If the image is smaller than 200 pixels high, Then enlarge the canvas to 200 pixels high.
These are all 72 dpi, RGB images. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have found this JaveScript that does what I need on the PC side, but keep getting an error when it tries to save the image. Is anyone able to recreate this into AppleScript with a correct save function... I am running a MAC, so I need an AppleScript. I had 2 iPhone 3G's, one of them screwed up and wouldn't recieve service. Up until then when I backed them up to my computer all was good, then one of them would update and all but a screen would pop up and tell me it couldn't back up to my computer. Recently I replaced the bad tele with an iPhone 4 and it does the same thing while the other iPhone 3G still backs up fine.......What up!!! Help please. Don't wanna lose my info..

I banged my head on the wall with the same problem for two days. Tried everything mentioned, and this worked, finally. The problem is that the backup files are not where you think they are.
You need to delete the MobilSync backup folder. I have a Mac. Went to /Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup and deleted the Backup folder.
Fixed the problem. Give it a try and good luck!

How to read the data file and write into the same file without a temp table

I have a requirement as below:
We are running lockbox process for several business, but for a few businesses we have requirement where in we receive a flat file in different format other than how the transmission format is defined.
This is a 10.7 to 11.10 migration. In 10.7 the users are using a custom table into which they are first loading the raw data and writing a pl/sql validation on that and loading it into a new flat file and then running the lockbox process.
But in 11.10 we want to restrict using temp table how can we achieve this.
Can we read the file first and then do validations accordingly and then write to the same file and process the lockbox.
Any inputs are highly appreciated.

Let me tell you about my requirement clearly with an example.
Problem:
i am receiving a dat file from bank in below format
105A371273020563007 07030415509174REF3178503 001367423860020015E129045
in this detail 1 record starting from 38th character to next 15 characters is merchant reference number
REF3178503 --- REF denotes it as Sales Order
ACC denotes it as Customer No
INV denotes it as Transaction Number
based on this 15 characters......my validation comes.
If i see REF i need to pick that complete record and then fill that record with the SO details as per my system and then submit the file for lockbox processing.
In 10.7 they created a temporary table into which they are loading the data using a control file....once the data is loaded into the temporary table then they are doing a validation and updating the record exactly as required and then creating one another file and then submitting the file for lockbox processing.
Where as in 11.10 they want to bypass these temporary tables and writing it into a different file.
Can this be handled by writing a pl/sql procedure ??
My findings:
May be i am wrong.......but i think .......if we first get the data into ar_payments_interface_all table and then do the validations and then complete the lockbox process may help.
Any suggestions from Oracle GURUS is highly appreciated.

Settings App > iTunes & App Store > Automatic Downloads [turn off the catagories you do not wish to be auto-downloaded].

Mac Pro 2013 and Premiere Pro - The performance issue that Adobe don't want us talking about!

In May 2014 I bought a 2013 Mac Pro to help my business with the ever increasing demands video editing was placing on our systems. I was so excited to see how the 12GB of power the AMD D700s would affect my workflow and ability to edit footage seamlessly without delays to the creative process.
However, to my dismay pretty much since starting to work with the system I found that there was an issue with the GPUs, Mac OS and Adobe’s applications. It was first reported by many other users in early 2014 and as yet know one from Adobe has really commented officially on the issue.
Sadly it appears to still be present today and speaking with an Adobe rep confirmed this. Trouble is no one is doing anything about it. My hope is that, if you have watched this video and are experiencing the same issues then please let’s get the comments going, share and like the video and let’s get Adobe, Apple and AMD to pick up this with immediate haste! Thank you.

Thanks for responding! It's such a pain and I have been chatting to one of Adobe's senior consultants about this and still none the wiser. I have sent my machine off to the retailer as it was still under warranty. Nothing wrong with GPU apparently which is a relief although I kinda wish it had been that as it would have been an easier fix. Adobe told me that working with H.264 is totally possible but if you have a complex sequence with multicam and nested video with effects applied then it will seriously hinder performance. Sadly transcoding to ProRes doesn't seem to help either and they suggested not adding any effects to the nested clips, flattening out the multi cams etc and this has improved things a bit. Sent a sequence to SpeedGrade the other day though and the machine had a fit. FCPX though seems to be working great and has a few advantages over Premiere so I may be making a switch for this type of work until Adobe can sort out this issue. I still feel that the application isn't fully making the most of the GPUs. In fact, I found out that multicam is actually all still on the CPU and that they are trying to implement GPU handling of multicam soon.

Although I am logged in as an admin, I can't check for updates or update Firefox. I'm on a Mac and would rather not delete this version and just reinstall the new version bc I don't want to lose my bookmarks. Please help - thanks.

you need to be running OSX 10.7 or 10.8 to use iCloud i believe. It shows you are using 10.6.8 which doesn't support iCloud.

My storage on my iCloud is almost full, and I turned off some apps that I don't want to be backed up. So if I press the button delete back up, is it going to delete all of the apps that I'm backing up, or just the ones that I turned off?

I keep on getting E-mails that notifies me that my storage is almost full. I don't want to press that button until my question has been answered.

It will delete the entire backup, so you'll have to back up again after doing this. The new backup will only contain the apps (and other data) that you have selected and omit the ones you turned off.

Why have I got your latest software on my computer unasked for and behaving as the default software. I don't want it, I dont need it and I want to remove it....unless of course you are giving me it as a fully working package for free.

Your upgrading software suggested that I had upgrades so I followed your advice and, after a load of download time I was presented with trial versions of your latest software suite. This is not right, it wasn't asked for and it is dominating access to your earlier software. Also my copy of Photoshop Elements is not working at all, it just wanders off into la-la land on even basic operations. What are you going to do to correct this lamentable situation? and when ?

I do apologise to members of this forum for my display of bad temper, it was generated by a series of problems with my system and this one from Adobe just took the biscuit and I thought I had finally reached Adobe. My fingers are poised over the phone this morning awaiting the start of the working day.
One thing that I cannot explain is that this series of trial programs, not clear in the updater, from Adobe is that it seems to have damaged my copy of Elements 10. I cannot put text onto pictures. I have tried uninstalling and reinstaling Elements 10 to no avail. Anyway we will see what they say.
