I need to print a mirror image of a PDF on my iPad.  Is this possible?

I need to print a mirror image of a PDF on my iPad for an iron on transfer.  Is this possible?  I have Pages and GoodReader but can't figure out how this would work on either app.  Help!

Can't be done as an exact copy from one Mac to the other.  The operating systems are system specific. First make sure your system doesn't need a firmware update to get 10.2 or later on it. You'll need to install 9 on it if it does, direct from a 9 retail CD that is compatible with it *.  This disc can't say Upgrade, Dropin, or OEM. To determine compatibility, identify your G4 tower:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3082
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=42739
Then look at the OS 9 compatibility:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=25517
Then apply the correct update
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=86117
The last Mac OS 9 to come retail is 9.2.1, and that's newer than 9.0.4, 9.0.2, and 9.1.
Your ghost image can be done using cloning software, but then you'll have to use a retail 10.3 installer and 10.3.9 combo update on the G4 tower.  Then use the Migration Assistant to import the data from the clone of the iBook. The 10.3 retail disc looks like * and does not say upgrade, dropin, or OEM.  The 10.3.9 combo update is here:
http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/macosxcombinedupdate1039.html
The clone to an external hard drive can be done with these instructions*:
http://www.macmaps.com/backup.html The import of the external hard drive with the migration assistant can be done with these instructions:

  • How to print the mirror image of a pdf file?

    Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to print the mirror image of a pdf file? I could have sworn I have done this before in an older version of Acrobat.
I am currently working with Adobe Acrobat 8.0 Professional.
    Thank you,
    Tina

I just tested this and it worked fine for me.
When you select to print the cropped page, in the print dialog will be a thumbnail of what is about to be printed. Does this display just the cropped portion or the whole page?

  • Can I print a mirror image?

I need to print a mirror image of a pdf document that was produced using a large scanner in our engineering department. We scan old sepias but the side we can scan is a negative image. Old copiers could "see through" the sepia's back side to get the positive image. New scanners, or least our scanner, can't do that so we get negative image pdf files. Printing a mirror image of this file will give me a positive image.

Have you tried checking the "Flip Horizontally" box on your print settings? Go to Print > Printer and it should be under "Layout". This may vary by printer but it's worth a try. Good luck.

  • Any way to print a mirror image anymore?

The Mac used to have an option for printing a mirror image of your document. What happened to this? I need to be able to print a mirror image from Pages.
    Thanks!

That's an option in some printers. None of my printers have ever had the option, but I've worked around it by flipping the image & text boxes in AppleWorks for years. You can do the same thing in the metrics inspector in Pages.

  • Printing in mirror image -- not sure why

    Hi there
I had a problem suddenly develop -- I don't know if it's because I hit an unknown key combination or something, but everything I send to my printer from InDesign suddenly starting printing in mirror image.  It's not an issue in printing specs from the printer itself, I tried that.  The only way I've been able to solve it is to take what I've created on screen and flip it horizontally so it looks completely mirror-imaged, then print it.  It comes out correctly then.  Any ideas why this is happening?
    Thanks so much!
    Todd

This is usually a setting in the printer driver, and I don't see anywhere in the ID print dialog itself where you could have set it, so click the Setup button in the dialog to open the printer driver settings. You'll need to find the "advanced" options, and from there look in Document Options > Postscript Options... and find the "mirrored output" setting and turn it off.
Check the printer properties in the printer folder and make sure this isn't set as the default for some reason, too.

Can I print a mirror image of something using the printer software - or do i need to have other software installed on my computer to do this?

    HI Sharmoser,
Your printer doesn't support regular mirror image printing. You may can find a 3rd party software that could help you accomplish this but not from the HP software.
Here is a link to your printers manual.

  • How do I print a mirror image in adobe reader

How do I print a mirror image of a file saved in adobe reader?

Not possible. I don't even think such a feature is available in Acrobat.
You need some kind of image editing software (like Photoshop or Gimp) to do that.

  • How do I print a mirror image?  Where did the old functionality go?

Within the last several months I was able to print a mirror image of my document to my HP DeskJet F4180 in high resolution. I don't know if it is the new HP drivers, or my new Snow Leopard OS but now I can' figure out how to do it again. I can grab a screen shot in and flip it in Preview but it ends up printing in low resolution.
I have printed mirror images in the past from my PDF applciations and I think from Office 2008 (PowerPoint). I find no documents saved on my hard drive that come up saved as a reverse image so I suspect that I was using a printer feature not an application feature to print mirror images.
    Where did this functionality go?

    Found it!
Use the check box marked Flip Image. Didn't is say mirror before?

I cannot not print in mirror image.  I have Microsoft word 2013 and cannot find rotate or drawing tool.  Can anyone help me?  I take this printer does not print mirror image which I am so shocked.  Didn't even think to look for this feature before purchasing cause most printers have this option.

You should find the Flip Horizontal option under Page Layout > Rotate.

Some printers have the option in the print dialog. If yours doesn't, just filp the image first.
