I need to put photos from my iPod to my computer

My daughter's iPod touch has this very large block of "other" taking up more than 2gb of space of her device. I've exhausted all options and now we can't seem to get it to sync to wifi properly anymore. I want to do a complete reset on her iPod. Restore completely to factory settings. Erase it all. HOWEVER, we have some very special pictures on it of family members that are no longer with us, and I need to get them OFF the iPod before I can just delete everything. I can't figure out how. I've synced it. I've tried to search for it. I just cannot find the pictures anywhere on my computer. And I cannot figure out how to even view them. I even ran a back up from the iPod to my computer and I can't even find the file that happens to. And my cloud doesn't show the pictures either.
help!!!! please?

If they were taken by or saved to the iPod then:
iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
If they were synced to the iPod then you need a third-party computer program like TouchCopy or PhoneView

  • Copying photos from the ipod to the computer

I want to copy pictures from my ipod to my computer. How do I do this?

When you connect your ipod to the computer, look in MY Computer (if you are using a PC), and you'll find your ipod there and can access the photos in the camera roll from there.

  • Putting Music FROM an Ipod TO a computer.

I have windows 7, and I'm using the newest version of itunes, i also have an ipod touch and i was just wondering if there is ANY way to put the music FROM my ipod ONTO my computer, I just got a new computer and i want to put my music on it.

What you should do is transfer your existing iTunes Library from your old computer, or the backups you made of it, to your new computer, then carry on syncing as you did before.
iTunes does not have the facility to transfer music from the iPod, except for iTunes Store purchases made on the iPod touch (File > Transfer Purchases).
Google for "ipod copy" for third-party software that will copy from iPod to computer.

  • Can I transfer photos from my ipod to my computer?

My computer recently crashed and i would like to transfer the photos from my ipod back onto my computer. Is this possible?

There are a number of utilities you could have a look at for retrieving photo's, have a look at the pages below for a start. If you do an internet search you can probably find a few more:
    iPodPhotoCopy Windows only
    CopyPodPhoto Windows only
iPod Photo Liberator Mac & Windows
    iPodCopy Mac and Windows Versions

  • I need to export photos from my ipod touch that was synced to my old PC which crashed.  I have a new PC with itunes.  My itouch is backed up to it now but I don't want to sync it because it warns that my itouch content will be erased.  Help!

My old PC crashed.  I now have a thousand or so pictures on my itouch and nowhere else.  I have backed up this itouch to my new PC with itunes.  I want to move or copy the pictures from my itouch to a folder on my new PC.  The older photos do not show when I look at the folders, just a handfull of new pictures that were saved by game apps on the itouch.  What is the best way to do this?

The photos are on the ipod.  Photo sync will erase them.  I need a way to extract them from the ipod, or to.extract them from the ipod backup that is who knows where on my PC.
I've been searching for an app to do that with no luck.  They all seem to want a newer OS than is on my ipod yet I have the most recent update installed.

  • I reformatted my computer, and need to put music from my Ipod onto the comp

Is this possible, and if so, please let me know how it is done!

    Check out the instructions/suggestions here.
Music from iPod to computer (using option 2).
There's also another method. I've successfully tested this across several different Windows PCs.
Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
If this doesn't work (and it may not because officially it's not supposed to), there's Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music and playlists etc from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
The above methods may depend on what version of iTunes you are running.
If none of these methods work, try CopyPod.
If you are using iTunes version 7 or later, then you can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the iPod to an authorized computer by using the "file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.

  • Trying to get Saved Photos from my iPod to my Computer

    Hi there
I am a Windows Vista user and i have owned an iPod Touch 2nd Gen 16 Gb for many months.
Before i have updated from 3.0 software to 3.1, i used to access the 'Saved Photos' frolder on my ipod by going to My computer and d.clicking on the ipod icon and there was the folder with the photos i have saved on my ipod, for instance photos i saved from the web browser or backgrounds i saved from some applications.
Now, there is no iPod Touch icon in My computer ever again, nither when ipod touch is connected and being synced nor when the sync is finished. Simply, i can not find a way to access the saved photos folder after the update.
Does anyone know if maybe there is some new setting in iTunes that turns on this convenient function on an iPod touch?
I know there are programs that allow you to COPY all photo content from an iPod but this is not what i am looking for.
I want to do this because I want to keep the Saved Photos on my PC so when I restore my iPod I can still have 'em put in my iPod, since I will lose them restoring it..

Nevermind I just figured it out! I had to select NO EVENTS which made that whole section clickable and I unchecked what I didn't want on my iPod!

  • I lost my ipod , how do i delete my twitter , facebook etc and photos from my ipod on the computer and my password is easy. and i didnt download the find my iPhone app. PleasePLEASE Help God Bless

I Lost my iPod. touch , and i have information on there how do i delete my twiiter , facebook and etc. amd photos from it through the computer and my password is easy please PLEASE HELP . God Bless. i just dont want my life out there .

If you did not set up your Touch for Find My iPhone prior to it being lost there is no way to remotely remove any of the information. In any case they would have to connect it to the internet to do so. Change all your passwords and don't worry about it.

  • I need help moving data from my iPod to my computer.

Is there a way I can take all the music and movies and pictures from my ipod and transfer them onto my computer. Mainly I just want my pictures back I never backed them up on my laptop and that got destroyed while my husband was deployed in iraq a few years back. Im not sure how to work everything I always gave my ipod to him to have him upload everything on it. I just bought a Macbook and I am still learning how it works. Is it even possible to take stuff from my ipod and save it to my computer now?

First of all, when connecting your iPod to your computer, be sure to click "NO" if you recieve a message like this: "This iPod is linked to another computer. Would you like to replace the content?"
    Then, onto the iPod-to-computer transfer:
There are a few different methods with transferring iPod songs to your computer.
    These include:
--- Manually transfer your iPod songs to iTunes. See MacMuse's posting here: iPod songs to computer (MacMuse post)
--- Add your iPod's folder into the iTunes library (via iTunes). See Jeff Bryan's post here: Using iTunes settings to transfer iPod songs to iTunes
--- Use a third-party program to get the transferring done. For a Windows computer, CopyPod should work good. Also, you can try out YamiPod.
    I hope that helps you.

  • I need to delete photos from iPad without accessing original computer

I have an iPad 4 and an iPhone 4S. I need to delete photos on my iPad which were sync'd several years ago with an old Mac and I can no longer sync it.  How do I make this happen?  The photos I need to delete will not let me delete them.   So frustrating!

Do you have a Mac you can connect the iPad to?  If so then launch Image Capture, connect the iPad and try to delete those photos with IC.
