I need to re-set my security questions but I can't unless I answer the questions now, and that's why I need to change it because I don't know.

I need to reset my security questions but I can't unless I answer the questions but I don't know the answers is there any other way?

The Three Best Alternatives for Security Questions and Rescue Mail
   1. Use Apple's Express Lane.
Go to https://expresslane.apple.com ; click 'See all products and services' at the
bottom of the page. In the next page click 'More Products and Services, then
'Apple ID'. In the next page select 'Other Apple ID Topics' then 'Forgotten Apple
ID security questions' and click 'Continue'. Please be patient waiting for the return
phone call. It will come in time depending on how heavily the servers are being hit.
2.  Call Apple Support in your country: Customer Service: Contact Apple support.
3.  Rescue email address and how to reset Apple ID security questions.
A substitute for using the security questions is to use 2-step verification:

  • Why does the App Store keep telling me I've got to set three security questions? And how do I Make them?

Every time I try to download a new app, a pop-up comes up telling me to set three security questions. And when I try to set them using the provided link it takes me to a page and keeps asking for my password even after I enter it in multiple times. So, is there another way to set my security questions or is there a way to just get rid of the pop-ups? Thanks.

This is for additional security to protect your Apple ID.
Try setting your security questions for your Apple ID with a browser on your computer instead.

  • I need to install Firefox 4 for browser compatibility testing, but I can only find installers for the current version and 3.6.19; where can I find what I'm looking for?

I am trying to do some browser compatibility testing using Firefox, but I can't find any installers for it here. The closest I can find are installers for 3.6.19 at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html. Where can I find an official installer for Firefox 4?

Solved my own problem - I can download the installer by navigating directly to http://download.mozilla.og/?product=firefox-4.0.1&os=win&lang=en-US.

  • How to re-set my security questions

I have gone through the steps to re-set my security questions because I forgot one answer but for some reason I am not getting the option to use the alternative email. Can anyone help?

You need to use your rescue e-mail, not your 'alternative' e-mail.

  • I need to Change my security questions because I don't know them how do I do this

I need to change my security questions because I don't know them how can I do this

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then the steps half-way down this page should let you reset them : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 link above to add a rescue email address for potential future use

They will have to be answered the first time when purchasing from a new computer or device.

  • HT4528 My iTunes says I cannot buy anything because I need to verify my security questions. I don't remember my security questions anymore and I don't remember the email password to the old email on my iTunes to change them.

I am unable to access my iTunes account to buy apps and music and stuff because it keeps saying I have to verify my security questions I made this iTunes account when I was probably 13 and I don't even remember the old email password and I change my email and I've tried sending it to my email and my recent email they keep sending to my old email and I need to somehow change that because I do not remember my security questions or my old password

How to reset your Apple ID security questions.
Go to appleid.apple.com, click on the blue button that says 'Manage Your Apple ID'.
Log in with your Apple ID and password. (If you have forgotten your Apple ID password, go to iforgot.apple.com first to reset your password with a password recovery email)
Go to the Password & Security section on the left side, and click on the link underneath the security questions that says 'Forgot your answers? Send reset security info email to [email]'.
This will generate an automated e-mail that will allow you to reset your security questions.
If that doesn't work, or  there is no rescue email link available, then click on 'Temporary Support PIN' that is in the bottom left side, and generate a 4-digit PIN for the Apple Account Security Advisor you will be contacting later.
    Next, go to https://getsupport.apple.com
(If you see a message that says 'There are no products registered to this Apple ID, simply click on 'See all products and services')
Choose 'More Products & Services', then 'Apple ID'.
    A new page will open.
Choose 'Other Apple ID Topics', then 'Forgotten Apple ID Security Questions'.
    Click the blue 'Continue' button.
Select the contact option that suits your needs best.

My old Apple ID is still showing when i need to reset my security questions. And i am not able to buy music on iTunes. someone help?!

All apps, all paid and free apps include DRM protection which is tied to the iTunes account/Apple ID that was used to download the apps. You will need to use the Apple ID that was used to download the apps to install app updates.
Apps downloaded with one Apple ID can't be transferred to another ID and accounts can't be merged.

  • HT201303 Why we should set those security questions while buying movies?

Why we should set those security questions while buying movies?
Can we skip those personal questions?
Why can't we make our own ones?
This makes me feel uncomfortible because I am forced to do that.

    Thanks HACKINT0SH.
Any chance to make our own questions? Per-defined questions may not always link to personal background well and in that case people will easily forget those answers.
If the answer is no, anyway to pass the feedback to Apple and tell them not to do secure but stupid things?

  • HT5312 Never set up security questions or rescue email and now I can't make any purchases on my itunes account

I'm trying to make purchases in itunes but once I type in my apple id and password it prompts me to answer two security questions.  I don't recall ever setting this up and now I can't make purchases because I don't know the answers.  Read article on rescue email address and id security questions and this was no help.  Doesn't prompt me anywhere to set up the rescue email.  HELP!!!

If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then see if this user tip helps : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4551
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then try Apple ID Account Security
or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57

That number is the temporary support pin that you provide to the Applecare rep when on the phone.  Call Applecare, ask for account security, and they will ask for the Pin as part of the Verification process.

  • Somebody set up security questions and a temporary support pin without me knowing, what do i do??

i cant access my account settings because i cannot answer my security questions that somebody unknowingly set up for me, as well as a temporary support pin....how can i get access to it?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Start here (change country if necessary) and navigate to 'Password and Security', reset your security questions using the link provided, you will receive an email to your rescue address, use the link in the email and reset your security questions.
If that doesn't help, you don't receive a reset email or you don't have a rescue address, you should contact AppleCare who will initially try to assist you with a reset email or if unsuccessful will pass you to the security team to reset your security questions for you.
If you are in a region that doesn't have international telephone support try contacting Apple through iTunes Store Support.

If you log into your account on http://appleid.apple.com and select the Password And Security section of your account are you able to set them ?
