I need to recover the infomation in icloud -how do i do it?

recovery the information stored in icloud-how ?

If you mean you want to restore from you iCloud backup, this has to be done in the initial setup process.  If you have any data on your phone now that is not in the backup that you want to save you'll need to do that first.  Then go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings.  You will then go through the setup screens as you did when the phone was new. When given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup (see image below).  Be sure you are connected to wifi and your charger as this will take some time to finish.

  • Did a backup & erased hard disk - Now need to recover the .dmg file? How?

Hi there.... thanks for your help!
I used Carbon Copy Cloner (found on versiontracker.com) to make a complete .dmg backup of an entire Powerbook G4. I copied the 28GB .dmg file via ethernet to my Time Capsule and that worked just fine.
I did a 7-pass secure erase on a the PB and have booted up from Tiger OS discs, but cannot find a way to access the Time Capsule to restore the machine.
    How do I do this??
    Thanks again!
    DL

I think I figured it out!
I restarted the Powerbook with a Firewire 400 cable attached, I realized that I could select "T" on the keyboard and make it a target drive. I mounted it on my machine, which is connected via ethernet to my Time Capsule (Aiport is much too slow...). From my computer, I went to Disc Utility and restored the .dmg file from the Time Capsule to the connected Powerbook.
    It seems to be working....

  • Need to recover the serial number of a stolen iPad.

My iPad (I think it was a 4) 32 gig with WiFi only was stolen and I need to recover the serial number of it for the police report.  How can I do that without having access to the iPad?
    Thanks for any help.

If the iPad was running iOS 7, the thief/finder will not ever be able to use it.

Check the serial number (located on back/bottom) in this lost/stolen iPad database. However, most owners are not aware of this database and don’t enter the serial number.

  • HT1529 I turned on my macbook and it says it needs to recover the disk

I turned on the macbookpro and it says it needs to recover the disk but there is no disk to recover from. How do I repair the disk?

Restart while holding both the Command and R keys, that will start from the recovery hard drive...then go to Utilities and Disk Utility and Repair hard drive.  See if that is what it wants you to do.

I am the administrator of my MacBook Pro, which I share with my kids. One of them forgot his password, so as the admin I changed it for his account, but  when I try to see his account, it says I need to provide the keychain password. How can i get it? I have no idea how to sort this out...

First, make sure caps lock is not on.
You must back up all data before continuing, unless you've already done so. If you need to back up but can't log in, ask for instructions.
If the user account is associated with an Apple ID, and you know the Apple ID password, then maybe the Apple ID can be used to reset your user account password.
Otherwise*, boot into Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
    Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. In the Terminal window, type this:
    res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window opens.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Follow the prompts to reset the password. It's safest to choose a password that includes only the characters a-z, A-Z, and 0-9.
    Select
     ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.
You should now be able to log in with the new password, but your Keychain will be reset (empty.) If you've forgotten the Keychain password (which is ordinarily the same as your login password), there's no way to recover it.
*Note: If you've activated FileVault, this procedure doesn't apply. Follow instead the instructions on this page:
If you forget the password and FileVault is on

  • NEEDED TO RECOVER THE IPAD MINI

  • IMac just died on me. Need to recover the data.

A friend of mine has a blue looking fruit iMac 600MHz, 256MB, and a CDRW, which just died and it made this 'click' noise when you press the power button.
I'm guessing it is the power supply and it there a way to reset the power? I heard it is next to the RAM slot?
Anyway, the most important is that I must recover the data off the hard drive, which I have successfully removed.
Do I need some kind of Mac viewer in order to see the content in the hard drive under Windows XP?

I don't know XP. Someone in this forum might know:
    http://discussions.apple.com/forum.jspa?forumID=687
How full is your hard drive? That may be affecting its ability to transfer data.
And you can't transfer the entire home folder to a PC formatted drive. You can do the Movies, Music or Pictures folder, and your personal data files you created yourself, but not the Library folder. I would attempt to fix what is breaking your Mac rather than try to backup to a thumb drive, and better to recover to a Mac formatted external hard drive with Prosoft Data Rescue:
    http://www.prosofteng.com/
And if that doesn't make for usable data with Media Four's MacDrive
    http://www.mediafour.com/products/macdrive6/
Use Alsoft Disk Warrior 3.0.3 on the drive.
If booted off Prosoft Data Rescue or Disk Warrior with nothing but an external hard drive, Apple mouse and keyboard you get a crash, that says your machine has a hardware problem. That will need to be fixed before you can recover any data.

  • HELP! old M505 has crashed and need to recover the data on it

    Hey all,
I'm hoping someone out there has some creative idea on how I can recover the data that was lost on my old M505.  I went on a long vacation and when I returned it had completely run out of power.  Unfortunately after recharging it, the system started at the initial installation screens and had lost all of my addresses, which I had not backed up in a very long time.
If anyone has any great ideas, it would be very much appreciated.
    Sincerely,
    Bob Last
    Post relates to: Palm m505

Hi, and welcome to the Palm Support Community.
Sorry, but there is no good news here.
Your old m505 has what is called "volatile" memory, which means that it requires power to maintain it.  Once the batteries die, there is a small capacitor which holds just enough power to preserve data for another few days.  After that, it's << poof ! >> gone and there is no way to retrieve it if you don't have it backed up to your computer.

  • Re: Need help recover the Satellite A100-522

    Dear All
I have a notebook and when I turn on could not found operation system error apears.
I wanted to revcovery, but when I want to do it preaze in the first step.
Also I wanted to do installation with new XP but I cannot delete drive C and install new windows.
I was wondering if you help me

    Hi
If you want to recover the notebook using the Toshiba recovery disk then you have to put the disk into the CD/DVD drive and have to boot from this disk.
You can press the F12 button while powering on and the boot menu will appear.
Then choose the ODD (CD/DVD drive) as a boot source and the installation should start.
Then follow the instruction on the screen.
You can also use the original Windows CD for the OS installation.
You should boot from the XP CD and you will see that the setup will start.
But note buddy; if you will be not able to start the installation then an HDD fault is possible. I got a message that the OS was not found on the HDD and this issue was related to the HDD malfunction.
In such case the HDD shoul be replaced

  • Need to recover the db

i had an oracle db 11g instance. somehow the db crashed and the service is no longer shown in the services list. OS is windows XP. is there any way to recover the db.
i have the all the table spaces and the original control files
    its very urgent.
thanks in advance for the suggestions

If its that much crucial than why this db is on a desktop operating system like win XP?
Anyways, as Maran asked, do you have all the datafiles, controlfiles intact?Besides this, also check in the alert log file if there is any relevant message is there.Because even if it is recovered now, if you wont know the root cause of the issue, it may happen again.

  • Stolen laptop, now need to recover smart playlists... how?

My Powerbook was stolen. I've received a replacement, and used Senuti to recover the music back onto my laptop. However, I spent a ton of time creating smart playlists, and really don't want to do it all over again. Senuti allows me to copy the smart playlists, but they lose their 'intelligence' and become regular playlists. Is there anything out there that will transfer and preserve the smart playlists? Thanks - and I hope Apple doesn't remove this posting, this is legit, shoot me an email and I'll send you the police report.

If you're copying tracks back from your iPod, the iPod knows nothing about Smart Playlists, since these are handled in iTunes, which is why Senuti copies them back as ordinary Playlists.
Unless you've got a backup of your iTunes Music Library.xml file you're out of luck. It's this .xml file that holds the definitions of the Smart Playlists.

  • I just got a 4th generation ipod touch from someone and there's a passcode. when i've tried to reset/restore it, itunes says i need to enter the passcode to continue. how do i unlock it?

when i clicked "restore" on itunes it started updating the ipod touch, but halfway through it says i need to enter the passcode. i let the whole download finish and it still says i need to enter the passcode. what do i do?

Are you sure you are following the instructions correctly?  Placing the iPod in recovery mode wil allow you to bypass the passcode lock.  If it's still asking you for the passcode, you aren't doing something correctly.  Keep trying.
If no luck there, try DFU mode as well.

Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings.  This will erase your phone.  Then you will go through the setup screens again as you did when your phone is new, and when given the option, select Restore from iCloud Backup.  Or choose a backup in itunes if that's where it is.
