I need to reinstall Photoshop CS4 on my new computer

Hi, I had a computer crash and lost my CS4(purchased online).  How can I restore it?

Most of these questions can be resolved by carefully following the instructions on the page.
I followed the instructions on the page and that's what lead me to downloading Acrobat XI Pro (not VI).
You don't download Acrobat.
You go to a page to download Acrobat (step 2), click the link as if you're downloading Acrobat then immediately cancel any popups (step 3).
My question now is which one do I download.  I don't want the trial version so I assume I download from the "Creative Suites" group, but I don't remember which CS4 version I had.
I suspect you're misinterpreting the column headers. They're all trial downloads.
Download the relevant trial version (depending on your serial number and operating system) and enter your serial number to license the trial version on your computer.
How do I determine which version to download.
You want the Windows version. Which product you own is something only you and Adobe can answer.
Are they all .exe files?  If not what do I do once downloaded.
That info is found in the instructions:
"For Windows, each program consists of two files, an .exe and a 7-Zip file (.7z). The .exe file will only work once the .7z package is fully downloaded and resides in the same location. "
So download File 1 (.exe) and File 2 (.7z) under the Windows Product Trial column then double click the .exe file.

The license is for two installations only. Sent from my iPad If the reply above answers your question, please take a moment to mark this answer as correct by visiting: https://forums.adobe.com/message/7486467#7486467 and clicking ‘Correct’ below the answer Replies to this message go to everyone subscribed to this thread, not directly to the person who posted the message. • How do I move Photoshop CS4 to a new computer?

I would like to move Photoshop CS4 from an old computer to a new one. Both are MacBookPros. Do I deactivate the license and then reactivate it?

The first thing you should know is that you can't "move" Photoshop to another computer. You must reinstall from the discs using your serial number.  Migrating or recovering from backup will give you a licensing error.
Since you have two activations. You can install and activate it on your new Macbook.  You'll want to keep CS4 on the old Macbook as a backup unless you are selling or disposing of it. It's a good idea if the CS4 runs into problems on the new Macbook. (Hopefully not)
That's it. Any further questions, let me know

  • How do I reinstall Photoshop CS4 on a new Mac?

About three years ago, I bought Photoshop CS4 for my MacbookPro. I just replaced the computer as it was on its last legs, and I'd like to reinstall my Photoshop software. I have the disk, serial number, everything, but I can't just pop the disk in because the new Macs don't have a CD / DVD drive. Go figure.
I'm trying to figure out how to do this through the Adobe website, but I'm not having any luck. Any suggestions?
    Thanks!!

Okay, that makes me feel a little better. Thank you.
I followed the Very Important Instructions and downloaded everything so it's on my computer, but when I go to open "Setup" it gives me a message that says that the application is from and unknown developer and cannot be opened. I'm going to try downloading it again because maybe I missed the cookie step, so I'll see if that changes anything.
Edit: No, it's still saying it can't be opened because it's from an unidentified developer.. Any idea why that's happening?

  • Need to reinstall InDesign CS4 upgrade on new laptop after laptop where loaded crashed.  No longer have serial number for prg from which upgrading.

I have a copy of InDesign CS4 which is an upgrade from PageMaker.  The computer on which it was installed totally crashed & nothing on it is available to me anymore.  I have the load disk for CS4, but no longer have any of the PageMaker information (serial #, version) it needs.  How do I get it installed onto the new computer?

So, how do I do this if Adobe wants to tie everything to an email acct?  Both of my registered products, old & current (except reader, of course) are tied to the email addr that no longer exists.  How do I find those?

  • Reinstall Photoshop CC on a new computer

I have Photoshop currently installed on a laptop (single user license). I am purchasing a faster and more powerful machine to handle it better. Do I have the license to simply reinstall the software on my new machine?

    Hi caen77,
If you own, or are the primary user of, a single-user or volume license Adobe product that is installed on a computer at work, you can also install and use the software on one secondary computer of the same platform at home or on a portable computer. However, you may not run the software simultaneously on both the primary and secondary computers.
No more than one user can use a single-user license Adobe product.
Note: AVL customers have to buy two different licenses to use both operating systems, even if they have two different computers. They can only use the same license on another computer (not simultaneously) with the same platform at home.
For more information regarding Adobe's activation policy, including recent changes, see the Product Activation FAQ.
