I need to reinstall software.... but I can't find the serial # now

Unforunately my hard drive crashed and required an erase and install at the genuis bar. We were able to do a backup to an external drive, but apps wont run on it for some reason.
I can't find the serial # for this product. I was able to install final cut express 2, but not the newer HD version. This is a registered product, but how do I see what products I've registered? Does it have the serial # there?

If you have the receipt, you can call Apple and they can issue you a new one. I went through this same thing. The downer is I purchased everything through Apple, but they do not store any of your serial #'s; even though, I registered everything as well. Bummer...
I found the receipts for 5 of 8 applications. So, I'm out 3 apps. Big bummer!

So recently my computer has been having some trouble and I have found what was causing it and put a stop to it, but now apparently I need to update my itunes, but to do so I need to reinstall Itunes, but before that I can do that, I need to change my path to my Itunes which I can't find anywhere. I got Photoshop Elements 11 when i got my wacom tablet this summer. I recently got a better computer so i want Elements 11 on it too. The problem is that I cannot find the serial number anywhere to be able to use it on my new computer. Since I got Elements through Wacom, it does not show up as a product on my Adobe profile. Does anyone know what I can do to get it back?

Use AirPort Utility 5.6 which contains the features you need. It is compatible with Lion as well as Mountain Lion, however, the installer app will refuse to install it on Mountain Lion.
This dilemma is easily solved though. You simply need to extract the app from the installer package using a package extractor like Pacifist.

If you happen to have an archived copy of the AU 5.6 app somewhere, such as a Time Machine backup or equivalent, you can simply restore it or drag the app to your Mountain Lion system's Utilities folder. It will run without complaint. It is only the package installer that is the problem.
Mountain Lion will not allow you to delete its existing version of AirPort Utility. Just ignore it. It and the older version (which will bear the unique name "AirPort Utility 5.6") can peacefully coexist.
Note: For those with Leopard or Snow Leopard systems you need AirPort Utility 5.6.1 (this is confusing - a later AirPort Utility version for an earlier OS X version - but it is correct).

There is no upgrade version. The serial number that you use dictates whether or not the software is treated as an upgrade. If you purchased it as an upgrade then the serial number you have is an upgrade serial number and that will require you to provide proof that you qualify ro install/use the upgrade.
