I need to remove "minimize, maximize, close" buttons on full screen mode

I can remove all buttons (like refresh, back, forward, address bar, etc..) but the little right 3 buttons "minimize, maximize, close" i cant remove, how can i make with userChrome.css or other option.
Because i can close firefox exiting from fullscreen and clicking on archive menu with "Alt" key.
I dont wanna this little 3 buttons, that i can hide and show permanent.
I hope explain me correctly
Thanks a lot

  • Why do the minimize, maximize, & close buttons in the top right corner disappear (turn to a black void) unless FF is maximized?

    I am running Windows 7 on my new laptop. When I bought it back in August, I installed Firefox version 5 (I think) Now that I have updated to version 6, the minimize, maximize, & close buttons in the top right corner disappear when the window is not maximized. It becomes a black space where the buttons should be.

    Hi Kossa,
    You can also check if the issue occurs in
    Clean Boot. If the issue disappears in the Clean Boot environment, you can continue to narrow down which entry is causing the issue.
    Besides, uninstall it and re-download
    a fresh copy of FireFox to check the result. If the issue still exists, create a new user account to see if it occurs.
    If the issue persists, you can contact Mozilla Support directly and use Internet Explorer (IE) during the time.

  • FF29: Page title bar MIA with minimize/maximize/close buttons gone! How do I get it back?

    FF29 on win7: the minimize/maximize/close buttons are MIA, as is the page title bar. I've restored 28 because Australis is driving me nuts!

    You should not have to restore the Firefox 28 release. There is a solution: Classic Theme Restorer. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/

  • Why is the Firefox button causing my minimize/maximize/close buttons to seperate?

    I recently updated to FF5 and I noticed that my minimize/maximize/close buttons on the title bar have a separation between them and the only way to make it return to normal is to start in safe mode. It is not caused by an extension alone but by the FF button. Is anyone else having this problem? It is kind of annoying.

    Hmm, it worked on a "Basic" Windows 7 theme, but I can't see a way to move the buttons on an "Aero" theme.

  • How do I make the minimize/maximize/close buttons smaller?

    I want to make the minimize - maximize - close/exit buttons on the right smaller. What's the css code to do this?

    Solved it.
    In Windows 7:
    Right click desktop >
    Go to Personalize >
    Click WIndow Color (Custom) >
    Click Advanced Appearance Settings >
    Find Caption Buttons and change the size to your liking!
    I like it at size 18, as it doesn't take up as much space.

  • Unexpected performance of Firefox in Windows 7, namely minimize/maximize/close buttons not working and unable to move/resize window.

    I have been using FF for a while now. My main computer was WinXP-32, though I recently bought a new laptop with Win7-64 installed. This problem was never experienced on my WinXP machine.
    Brief description of problem:
    After a time of having FF up and running, the minimize/maximize/restore/close buttons in the top-right no longer work as expected and, if not maximised, I cannot move the window around my desktop nor resize the browser window. When clicked, the buttons will
    rapidly flash on and off continuously without appearing to perform any noticeable function other than temporarily hogging CPU cycles. I've found that clicking (sometimes double clicking) in the main browser window then mousing over the buttons again seems
    to stop them flashing, though does nothing else.
    To minimize/maximize/restore/move/close the window(s), I have to right-click on the relevant tab in my taskbar and pick the desired option. Occasionally, however, even this doesn't work and the right-click menu will disappear as soon as I move the mouse
    over it after right-clicking. 'Show desktop' is a temporary fix for minimising windows and 'ALT + F4' or 'CTRL + W' for closing windows or tabs. This isn't satisfactory and to move or resize a window, I have to close the window in question (sometimes all other
    windows too), reopen it and do what I need to do, though sometimes even this is only a very short fix. If I have to close all the windows, FF will sometimes keep running for a while afterwards, even though no windows are actually open - simply ending the process
    via the windows task manager will fix this though is only a work-around, not a fix.
    One thing I have noticed is that if I manage to move the browser window (when not maximised), for a short period afterwards I can often resize the window successfully. This is more likely to occur if the browser window is not flush with the edge of my screen
    once moved.
    I've tried to include as much information as I can - most of which was determined after several minutes/hours of playing around with different scenarios, trying to manually reproduce particular problems or simply through sheer luck of happening to click
    in the right place at the right time! I hope there is a reasonably fix for this at some point in the not-too-distant future.
    I noticed in some of the threads at another site where people have voiced problems similar to mine, that a link to 'ObjectDock' was discovered in some cases. I do have 'ObjectDock 1.90 Plus' installed on my machine and use it in many ways and so decided
    to see if I could find a connection between the two. I have uninstalled, tested, and reinstalled both programs in a multitude of ways, though could find no conclusive correlation between having both bits of software running or installed at the same time and
    the problems I am experiencing. In my case, at least, this does not appear to be an answer.
    Also, in another thread on this site, someone suggested there might be a link with AVG Anti-Virus Free (I have version 9.0.819) though I've tried uninstalling it and its various add-ons in several different combinations, with no noticeable improvement.
    Sorry for such a long question... If you need to know anything more, just let me know!

  • Spacing between minimize maximize close buttons

    Has anyone found a solution for this yet? I've searched everywhere, but have found little mention of the problem, let alone a fix. I have the same conditions as the original poster: XP, 3rd party visual style, and problem disappears when enabling the menu bar. My Windows caption buttons appear exactly like the posted screenshot. I would imagine CSS could fix it. Thanks,

  • Is it possible to change the size of the 'Close' button in Full Screen viewing mode?

    I am currently using Firefox for a kiosk type scenario. We require that the browser run full screen. The issue is that the 'Close' button is not large enough for users to consistently see, so they're having issues figuring out how to close an active browser window.
    Can anyone tell me if it's possible to change this icon? I've tried using themes, but they tend to theme everything but the close button.
    Custom configuration details are below.
    Firefox version: firefox-3.0.4-1.el5.centos
    Customisations:
    Access to local drives disabled:
    Modified the contents of /usr/lib/firefox-3.0.4/chrome/browser.jar, so that browser.js has the added stanza:
    <pre><nowiki>if (location.match(/^file:/) ||
    location.match(/^\//) ||
    location.match(/^resource:/) ||
    (!location.match(/^about:blank/) &&
    location.match(/^about:/))) {
    loadURI("about:blank");
    }</nowiki></pre>
    Various menus & bookmarks disabled in chrome/userChrome.css
    <pre><nowiki>/* Kill "normal" bookmark icons in the bookmarks menu */
    menuitem.bookmark-item > .menu-iconic-left {
    display: none;
    /* kill icons for bookmark folders in Bookmarks menu */
    menu.bookmark-item > .menu-iconic-left {

    /* kill icons for bookmark groups in Bookmarks menu */
    menuitem.bookmark-group > .menu-iconic-left {

    .tabbrowser-tabs .tab-icon {
    display: none;
    #urlbar {
    font-family: Arial !important;
    color: Black !important;

    Try code like this:
    <pre><nowiki>#window-controls .toolbarbutton-icon {
    width: 25px !important;
    height: 25px !important;

    The three buttons have these IDs:

  • Need help to play a DV file in full screen mode w/o losing resolution

    I just finished a 20 minute film using iMovie, and in order to share it, I created a Quicktime DV File using the Full Quality mode. However, when I play the obtained Quicktime file in full screen, the images become blurry and the titles are unreadable, so I am forced to sticking to the standard size (which is relatively small).
    I need to project this video THIS SAME WEEK on a screen in front of a large crowd and the largest screen size for Quicktime to avoid pixelation is very small (1/6 of my screen).
    Is there any way in which I can get a larger resolution DV file than the one iMovie creates? How can I share this with the audience w/o having to project it from the original iMovie file?
    HELP PLEASE...!!!!! I am desperate, so any urgent advice will be greatly appreciated. And please note I am a novice at iMovie (first time I used it). Any help to increase the resolution quality of my DV file will be EXTREMELY HELPFUL.
    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Any help to increase the resolution quality of my DV file will be EXTREMELY HELPFUL.
    For faster editing iMovie 08 & 09 uses single-field processing. This means every other horizontal line of the video is thrown out, which reduces the sharpness of the footage. iMovie 06 uses all of the image, I think you will find it looks better.
    iMovie 06 and iDVD 09 is a terrific combination.

  • Minimize/Maximize//Close buttons, i need to disable them

    I tried everything, installed ChromeEdit plus and inserted the code i found on this forum and nothing happened. I have firefox mozilla 18 at the moment and windows 7. And i didn't find UserChrome.css and UserContent.css file but this ChromeEdit tool creates those 2 files, so i looked into profile files and in chrome folder this 2 files are empty so i just need the right code.

    I managed to install DOMi, i also managed to find a node by inspecting with clicks. But when i clicked on close or maximize button nothing happened.
    When i click somewhere else(bookmarks or letters) its shows me a code, i can cut,edit this. But when i click on close, maximize, minimize buttons nothing happens.

  • Minimize, Maximize, Close Buttons are no Longer Displayed

    I just downloaded Mac OS 10.4.5, and iTunes 6.0.3, when I minimize the window to sit in the corner of my screen, the Close, Minimize, and Maximize buttons are now just white circles, instead of the standard red, yellow, and green.
    This is really annoying. Has anyone experienced this? If so, how do I fix this?
    None of these issues occurred before downloading Mac os 10.4.5.
    Thanks,

    This seems to be normal behaviour with the latest iTunes version(s).
    Did not notice it before. The 'traffic lights' only show their colours, when iTunes is the frontmost Application.

  • Menu UID for Minimize/Maximize/Close buttons

    I'm trying to disable or restrict the buttons in the toolbar at the top of marketing documents.  Specifically, I'm trying to disable the 'X' button in the top right of marketing documents to prevent users from closing the document in this way.  I was able to restrict the 'Close' function found under File->Close because it clearly has Menu UID 514.  However, this didn't affect the 'X' button.  Do these buttons have their own Menu UID's?  Are they on the same form as the marketing document itself?  Thanks for the help.

    Hi Brian,
    With regards to the X box, I don't think it has a UID and it doesn't trigger a menu option. The screen can also be closed by pressing Escape or Ctrl-F4 and they also don't trigger a menu option (although they do trigger a KeyDownevent).
    When I've needed to do this then I've added a hidden UserDataSource field to the window which takes a simple Y/N value with the default being N when the form is loaded. I then put a check in the Form Close event (when before action is true) and if the value in this user defined field is N then I set bubbleevent to false and the form won't close. Only if the user chooses one of the methods I want them to use (Ie clicking on the OK button when the form is in OK mode or clicking on the Cancel button) do I set the user datasource to Y which allows the form to close (the press event of the buttons occurs first before the form closes so the value in the user datasource is set to Y just before the form close event checks its value).
    Kind Regards,
    Owen
