I need to rest my master password for my imac with no disc

I have an older IMAC and need to change to master password.I also upgraded from 10.4 to 10.6.8 so I dont have a start up disk. can anyone help me

Changing or resetting an account password if you need a replace startup disc then call AppleCare and for a nominal price they will replace it.

If the usual method does not work, you can also do this manually.
# Open your profile folder, for details of how to find it see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles
# Close Firefox
# In the profile folder delete key3.db, signons.sqlite, and if they exist signons.txt, signons2.txt and signons3.txt
That will delete all passwords and remove the master password.

I've been using a master password for years. I also use Sync. Today I wanted to look up one of my saved passwords. When I went to do this I noticed that Firefox was no longer set to use a master password. I'm afraid that I may have been hacked, or that something else happened (recent Firefox update?) that caused the use of the master password to be disabled.
I have not yet checked my other Synced computers to see if their master passwords have also been turned off.
I have re-enabled the master password feature on this computer.
On this particular computer, I've had a long-standing issue where Firefox "Help>About Firefox" always shows that I need to "Restart to Update". This means that I cannot use "Help>About Firefox" to check for and install the latest version. I need to download Firefox manually and update by running the installer.

long story short i need to set up a password for my linksys wireless router... i tried go to linksys' website link i went ahead and set up a password using instructions from the link above...went to http://192.168.1.1/...clicked on admin tab and set up password... to test out my password i turned on/off my wireless connection on my macbook. when i turned it back on and selected the linksys wireless connection from the dropdown menu on my macbook it did NOT prompt me for a password? what am i doing wrong? why isnt it asking me for a password?

The password you have changed is the password which protects the access to the web interface of the router. In other words, you must know this password to make changes to the configuration of the router. It is not the encryption key for wireless security. Wireless security is configured on the Wireless Security tab.

I have never set-up a master password for firefox. Somehow the browser to locked mode, now, and requests a master password. How can I get it to unlock?

There is no URL line, into which anything may be entered.
Also, I reinstalled the program as well. No change. Still defaults to a request for a password THAT I HAVE NEVER CREATED.
Full disclosure: I reached to reconnect a cable, and pressed my chest against my keyboard, while the computer was in sleep mode, with Firefox running in the background. Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the Mac OS X Utilities screen appears, select Utilities ▹ Terminal from the menu bar.
In the Terminal window, enter “resetpassword” and press return. A Reset Password window opens.
Select your boot volume if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Follow the prompts to reset the password. It's safest to choose a password that includes only the characters a-z, A-Z, and 0-9.
Select  ▹ Restart from the menu bar.
You should now be able to log in with the new password, but you won't be able to unlock the Keychain. If you've forgotten the Keychain password (which is ordinarily the same as your login password), there's no way to recover it. I have created my entity bean with the wizard in Sun One Studio and it does not create a primary key class for you.
I thought that the primary key class was required. My key is made up of only one field.
Anyone know the answer.

u dont need to create a primary key class for a entity bean.if ur table's primary key feild(int ,float) is a built in or primitive data type,then u dont need one.But if ur table has a primary key field which is non primitive (for example StudentID,ItemID etc)then u have to create a primary key class.
