I need to restore my browser history

So, the computer I'm using had a computer virus that needed removing. We took the computer to "Microcenter" (computer experts) & they removed the virus. The thing is, in the process of removing the virus, they got rid of all my browser history (at least from the sidebar of the browser window). So, was wondering if there was any possible way of getting it back or finding it? Please. If anyone could help me, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Ok. Well, I've found my profile. Now what?

  • Is there a way I can restore deleted browsing history?

    I accidentally deleted all of my browsing history and wanted to find a way to restore it.

    Do you make backups of your user data? If you do not, once deleted the history can not be restored.

  • Is it possible to restore deleted browsing history?

    I deleted my browsing history without realizing it would delete saved passwords. Now I cannot access my account on a certain website. Is it possible to recover my history, and will that get back my passwords?

    Passwords are not stored in the browsing history. If you delete your passwords, history or cookies it is not possible to recover them.

  • Need time stamps on browsing history which no longer show after firefox reset

    Reset Firefox after Flash problems. Now browsing history does not show time stamps, which it did before. Could find no means on library screen to produce time stamps or alter the page in any way.
    Thanks

    You can copy the places.sqlite file from the Old Firefox Data folder on the desktop to the current Firefox profile folder.

  • I need to restore my browser menu

    I lost my complete browser menu on the top of the screen and would like it restored

    You can switch between the orange Firefox button and compact menu and the full length classic menu bar using either of these:
    * right-click a blank area of the tab bar > Menu Bar
    * tap the Alt key > View > Toolbars > Menu Bar
    * orange Firefox button > Options fly-out menu > Menu Bar
    Does one of those work?
    If you don't even have the orange Firefox button, you might be in full screen mode. Use the F11 function key to switch between full screen and normal view.

    I need to restore the Browsing History of my computer. Once the history has been deleted, is it possible to find the information anywhere else on the computer?

    Hi.
    After create_column method you have to create cl_salv_wd_uie_text_view object:
      data:
        " Variables para configurar los ALVs.
        lr_alv_config_table  type ref to cl_salv_wd_config_table,
        lr_lr_wd_table_usage TYPE REF TO if_wd_component_usage,
        lr_wd_table          TYPE REF TO iwci_salv_wd_table,
        lr_table_settings    TYPE REF TO if_salv_wd_table_settings,

        lr_column            TYPE REF TO cl_salv_wd_column,
        lr_text              type ref to cl_salv_wd_uie_text_view,
        lr_header type ref to cl_salv_wd_column_header.
      " Initialize variables
      lr_lr_wd_table_usage = wd_this->wd_cpuse_alv_1001( ).
      if lr_lr_wd_table_usage->has_active_component( ) is initial.
        lr_lr_wd_table_usage->create_component( ).
      endif.
      lr_wd_table = wd_this->wd_cpifc_alv_1001( ).
      lr_alv_config_table = lr_wd_table->get_model( ).
      lr_column_settings ?= lr_alv_config_table.
      lr_table_settings ?= lr_alv_config_table.
      " Delete Column.
      lr_column_settings->delete_column( 'OBJID' ).
      " Create column.
      lr_column = lr_column_settings->create_column( 'OBJID' ).
      create object lr_text.
      lr_text->set_text_fieldname( 'OBJID' ).
      lr_column->set_cell_editor( lr_text ).
      " Change the header of the column.
      lr_column->GET_HEADER( receiving value = lr_header ).
      if lr_header is bound.
        lr_column->delete_HEADER( receiving value = lr_header ).
      endif.
      lr_column->create_HEADER( receiving value = lr_header ).
      lr_header->SET_TEXT( exporting value = 'Objid Field' ).

  • I know that history can be cleared if you want it to, however it can also be restored if you wish, how to permanently clear browse history

    Ive always wanted my history cleared, however, when sometimes i use public computers, you dont want anyone restoring your browse history especially when what you are browsing are extremely important sites

    I may have hoped a public computer would give you a private account or a temporary one that would clear after use. Have a read of these two articles they should help explain the available options:
    * [[private browsing]] <-- clickable link -- (blue) --
    *[[clear recent history]] (this includes other linked articles)
    There are limits to what you can hide, but you need not leave info lying around for other users to look at.

  • Can browsing history be restored after being deleted?

    Part of my browsing history was deleted today and I need to restore it. Is there any way possible of restoring all browsing history for one day?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    Do you have a back up with these notes on.

  • I need to restore history.plist on iMac OSX 10.9.3

    I cleared history and would like to restore it. Time machine is off so that backup is not available. I used Stellar Phoenix Mac data recovery to recover all deleted files and can see all the plist files. When I try to send the plist files to history.plist I get a message from the recovery app that there is a problem and data may be lost. Do I need to clear the curent safari history before sending the recovered info? I cant tell which one is history.plist. in the recovered files. I also don't know if that is the only file I need to restore in order to view history as it was before I cleared it.
    Any help on this or a different step by step method for restoring my browsing history would be appreciated.

    The history.plist won't work. Unfortunately, the only way to do this is to restore from a TM backup.

  • Is it possible to recover safari browsing history after history has been cleared?

    I have a 2012 iMac running Mavericks OSX 10.9.4 with a Seagate Backup Plus connected with Time Machine. I would like to restore safari browsing history to view some web pages from about two weeks ago. Safari history has been cleared. I think I need the history cache and or the history.plist but I'm not sure. I have 2 data recovery apps. One is Stellar Phoenix Mac data recovery and the other is Seagate file recovery for Mac. I just don't know if those are the correct files and if they may still be somewhere that they can be found in a still usable form.
    I have searched this question on the web and found several answers that had step by step instructions on how to accomplish the task but none of the methods actually worked. The claims were all talking about older operating systems however.
    Can anyone help? Is it possible?

    Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it, then copy it to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
    ~/Library/Safari
    Quit Safari.
    Select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder
    from the Finder menu bar. Paste into the text box that opens by pressing command-V, then press return.
    A folder window should open. Restore the file named "History.plist" in that folder from a snapshot taken on the day in question, or the first available day afterwards.

  • My browser history doesn't show yesterday's, last week's history etc. HELP PLEASE!!

    I LOVE portable firefox and it's the only browser I ever use. Today, something happened and I am desperate to get help on this. Normally when the browser crashes, I reopen and hit "restore previous session" and I also open another window that may have had 5-6 tabs (it's normal for me to have 5-6 tabs in two diff windows). Today, I opened an older firedox version by mistake and now I can't get back to the 15 or so tabs I had originally! Worse yet, when I look at browser history, I see only two options: Today's browser history (which contains the single home page tab!) and "older than 6 months option" which is not what I want. I really need to see my browser history from the last couple of weeks! What went wrong when firefox never let me down before. I am freaking out here, help please!!
    I am on a Windows 7 machine. My question is relevant to firefox portable version 37.01

    The portable Firefox version comes with its own Firefox profile folder that is located in its installation folder.
    *X:\PortableApps\FirefoxPortable\Data\profile
    So if you switch to a different portable installation then you get the profile folder from that version.
    This is different then the normal release that uses the profiles.ini file.
    You would have to locate the Firefox profile folder of that other version if you didn't uninstall it and copy the relevant files to the portable version that you currently use.

    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_data_to_a_new_profile_-_Firefox
    You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder (I assume that this work in the portable version as well):
    *Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)

  • Browser History & Progress Bar

    I am sorry to ask such a novice question but we are just starting out using AIR and are having a few problems which somebody might be able to explain?
    Background: We have an online Coldfusion-based web application and want to deploy it to clients as an AIR app, rather than them using a browser.  Using just Dreamweaver, we built and exported a very basic app which calls a piece of HTML to display the web application in the 'AIR Browser', but we have encountered some problems.
    - Browser History
    Our web app has browser back/forward buttons as part of the interface but the AIR app does not seem to recognise <a href="javascript:history.back()">
    - how can this be overcome?
    - Network Activity
    Is it possible to add some sort of status bar to show network activity is taking place whilst items are loading?
    - Debugging Option
    Is there any kind of debugging console for AIR (like Firebug) which helps sort out code problems with layout objects?
    - Usernames/Passwords
    AIR does not remember usernames/passwords - is there a way of implementing this so they are stored or saved in some way?
    Are the above just limitations of using Dreamweaver to create the app?  We want to embrace AIR and long term use Flash Builder instead.  What we want to create at this stage is so basic, is there a tutorial or code out there already for building a 'buttonless' browser, with a progress bar, which you can customise for deploying web-based apps?
    Many thanks.
    Matthew.

    Many thanks for your reply.  I understood that AIR was leveraging Webkit so Javascript calls should work fine... in theory!
    You can browse each page of HTML in the web app but the history does not seem to be accessible which is odd.  A google search found two other people asking the same thing (wrapping a website up into an AIR app) but with no answer over a year ago!
    We are simply pulling HTML into an AIR app but need to control the browser history.  Is there an easy way to do this just in Flex and we will ditch Dreamweaver for making the AIR app?
    Many thanks.

  • Restoring Browsing History in Safari 8.0

    So, in an attempt to fix some of the problems that my OS X had, I deleted my Safari browsing history through "Clear History and Website Data", which I thought was no problem, since I am using Time Machine, and have my history backed up. The only problem is that now, I have no idea which file/folder I should restore. I tried looking it up, and there were indications that I should restore Users/User/Library/Safari/History.plist, which I already tried to do, but to no avail.
    So far I have tried the following:
    I have tried restoring the whole Safari folder under /Users/User/Library/, which practically gave me nothing.
    I also tried removing History.db and History.db-wal from the aforementioned folder, which seems to work, but only for a second before Safari actually catches the trick, and then somehow loads out the old history and loads in the new history. Apparently, /Users/User/Library/Safari isn't the only folder which Safari checks.
    Any suggestions that might help solve the problem?

    You need to quit Safari, then restore only the History.db file. Delete the other files with names beginning in "History". Obviously, you must restore from a snapshot that predates the unwanted changes.

    You are using an old Firefox 3.0.19 version that is no longer supported.<br />

  • How to restore deleted safari browsing history on iPad 1

    How do I restore the Safari browsing history on an iPad 1?  When I click on the "open book" symbol and go to "history" there is nothing there.  Need to check on what sites have been visited.

    Private browsing is not one of my options.  It says "general" at the top, then:
    search engine
    autoFill
    Always Show Bookmarks Bar
    Then, "Security" is next and under it:
    Fraud warning
    Javascript
    Block Pop ups
    Accept cookies
    Clear History
    Clear Cookies
    Clear Cache
    Developer
