I need to restore my pop ups to access a program
I am trying to access a training module for work and before I can proceed I need to restore the pop up feature I dont have a clue how to do this
if anyone else gets this question- I deleted all my text messages and "all mail" to free up space before I did the restore. It worked pretty well, i haven't missed the text messages as much as i thought I would, now cleaning them out more frequently to keep the "other" files low.

Ok, i have a problem. I have been working on for about 43

Hi all,
While Printing Smartform we get a Pop-up created by SAPLPD Printer Program. Is there any way to hide this pop-up and print like can it be done as a Background process.

I'm using dwb as default browser, but when I try to connect to my university connection I'm supposed to accept a "usage policy" to ensure I'm not a bad guy! This "acceptable" message usually comes with a pop-up, but dwb gives me only an advice: "to get access you will need to ensure that pop-ups are not blocked for '192.168.168.168'.
I really can't figure out how can I enable pop-ups, because I didn't find anything in the settings.

Thanks a lot!There is no builtin method for enabling it for one specific site, but there are two plugins that can be used, either
dwbem -i perdomainsettings
which allows to set some settings based on the url, hostname or toplevel domain name, it has a static configuration.
There is also
dwbem -i whitelistshortcuts
which allows to whitelist settings on domain basis on the fly with a shortcut.
Edit: You might look at the dwbem-manpage first, there are 2 environment variables that needs to be set, at least if vim isn't installed.

i started to update my iphone 4, and in the middle of the update, an icon popped up saying that "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. you must restore this iPhone before it can be sued with iTunes."
I really cannot lose the data on my phone. i foolishly did not back up everything ecause there was a previous problem i had with icloud and i needed to delete all of my icloud accounts accept for my contacts.
WHat would i lose if i restored it? and do i need to restore it?
is there another way? if there is, i definetely do not need the update. someone please help me.First, in iTunes, launch Preferences and go to the Devices tab. Check the date and time of the last backup. If it is recent you can restore it. However, if you mean you have the photos back in your Camera Roll then the backup was already restored. To get your music and apps back it should just be necessary to click "Sync".

attempted to download latest update for iphone 4s. update had something to do with the calendar. during the update the picture appeared with usb prompting me to connect to itunes. when connected pop up appeared stating my phone was in recovery mode and needed to be restored. clicked tab to restore and pop up appeared stating could not restore. the device iphone cannot be found. any solutions to this problem?

Recovery mode erases your device and restores it, which should resolve the issue. If you previously synced with iTunes or iCloud, you may be able to restore from your backup after recovery.

Need to allow pop-ups for a site
My bank has upgraded their website. I need to answer a question in a pop-up box to be able to use the website. Firefox blocks the pop-up box even though I have told it to allow pop-ups for the website.
How do I get it to allow the pop-up box or do I have to use IE?I tried that. I also talked to the people who developed and maintain the site. They said it is not a pop-up window - it is part of the site. Since it showed when I tried Internet Explorer they think it is a problem with Mozilla Firefox or my web connection. They asked me to try accessing it with my computer at a public place that offers free Internet.

You can "allow" a site under
Tools > Options > Content
using the first Exceptions button on the right.
But popups also can be blocked by some toolbars as a bonus feature. You may want to check their options. I'd especially check security software bars such as McAfee.
Even if a toolbar is not normally displayed full time, it still could be active. You can use View > Toolbars to display it and check its features. -

You may have installed one or more of the common types of ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it. It's been reported that some variants of the "VSearch" malware block access to the page. If that happens, start in safe mode by holding down the shift key at the startup chime, then try again.
Back up all data before making any changes.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, ask for further instructions.

Need an add-on to force ALL pop-ups into same widnow
I sometimes overlook pop-up windows because of their location on the screen. The result is that I may accept or deny something inadvertently. Is there a Firefox add-on – or can someone create one – that would force all pop-up windows to display in the same centrally located box, preferably in the middle of the screen, so that these messages can be spotted?
I don't think there is such an add-on, but you can make pop-ups open in a new tab instead and see how that goes.

I am still being annoyed with constant pop-ups. I like using Firefox, but I'm switching to another browser if I can't get this resolved.

To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the Firefox shortcut (without the Shft key) to open it again.

Pop-Ups ALWAYS opening new tabs in Safari 8.0
I was recently helping my boyfriend and had downloaded "unsafe" downloads onto my MacBook Pro Mid 2012 on Safari 8.0 and directly after downloading these links there are continuous pop ups showing up that are opening new tabs and they usually pertain to what I am looking up. Such as when I was logging into Apple Support MacKeeper and other various websites for virus protecting programs pop up. Also my home page is changed to a different site (the name is something along the lines of "Only" and their home page looks JUST LIKE Googles). Pop ups are happening ALL the time and it's getting very frustrating. I downloaded MacKeeper awhile back but I believe I was successfully able to uninstall it. Even when I am clicking on a link on Google or I accidentally tap my mouse pad and it clicks on my current website a pop up opens a new tab. I have cleared my caches, history, and cookies. My firewall, firevault, and all other precautions are turned on. What can I do to fix this problem I am having? ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated!! Thank you in advance (:

PS. I let my boyfriend barrow my computer last night so he could restore his iphone but it looks like he tried to download a few things and was successful at downloading more plug ins for me... Not so great. I've been trying to get rid of genieo forever now aand he reinstalled it again. Looks like I'm the only one using this from now on!
