Sending a large amount of data over a post

Hi.
I'm trying to send a large amount of text (about 400,000 characters) with a post to a servlet running in Tomcat. For debugging my servlet just writes the data to standard out and a text file.
The problem is, I get about 2048 characters printed correctly and then a long stream of garbage.
Has anyone seen a problem like this, or know of any limitations of the length of a post?

Are you using iPhoto on your iPad? Then deleting photos will depend on the album they are in and how they have been added to the iPad.

If you also have a Mac, you can delete quickly large amounts of photos from your camera roll by connecting your iPad to your computer using USB and importing the photos into Image Capture, iPhoto, or Aperture. Then set the option to delete the photos after importing.
Photos you synced to your iPad can only be deleted by syncing again.
If you are using IOS 7 you can delete larger amounts of photos from your Camera Roll in the "Moments" view:
n the Photos.app you can select all photos in a "Moment" at once, by pressing "Select" to the right of the "Moment" name. Then press the Trash icon.

Iphoto freezes when I try and delete a large amount of photos. I have tried all of the first aid options. Can I only delete small batches? I am trying to organize and edit my 16K + library and deleting small batches is very time consuming. And iphoto is running very slow... Is there simply better software for a large library or tips to erase these photos?

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

There is no Wishlist as there are other things a bit more tight in place where experienced partners work with BC on stuff for everyone. While the Amazon migration is taking a lot of man power out of BC development at the moment this was already seeing great and right features rolling out for all.
Support has gone through a lot of changes and had a bad patch but the ticket system is on an all new system and I BC had a big jump so they had to hire a lot of new people, and it was rough for a while but I think this has improved a lot and continues to prove as the support team gain more experience. You can only be good at a support job once you learn the system and get more experience. That can only happen with time.

Ipod 2nd generation is broke, need to send it in... How?

My ipod touch 2nd generation has worked fine since i got it, but all of a sudden it stopped working. It won't turn on, it won't charge, it won't restore when i plug it into the computer, i need to send it in, but i have no idea how, and i lost the box that it came in. Either there was a misunderstanding or the person you talked to was misinformed. You do not need to buy a new iPod, but you do pay Apple's flat service fee and get a refurbished unit as a replacement. Apple has plenty of refurbs. For pricing, see:

If you have an Apple Store near you, make an appointment at the Genius Bar, and if they determine that the problem is a hardware failure, they'll replace the iPod on the spot should you agree.
Whether it's worth the cost to you to just get another 2nd-gen iPod touch, given that it's starting to fall well behind, or it would be better to put that money to a new, or newer, model iPod is something you'll need to decide.

You go for following approach :-
1. Maintain a table with contains all date when you need to send mail. it can be one date or many.
2. create a custom program which will first read this table above and see if todays date does exist in table.. if yes it will send mail else not.
3. Now schedule report on daily basis.
Thats it. When ever you want to send mails just enter those dates in this table. it can be any no of future dates.

Downloaded 143 files, can't see photo's unless I click on edit. Then I can see thumbnails on top, but can't view larger. How do I recover them? What did I do? Never Happened before.

I downloaded 143 photo's. The photo's were visible. Tried to burn to CD. When CD finished. The photo's were blank in iphoto and I have deleted the originals from my camera.
If I click on one of the blank files in iPhoto and hit edit, I can see all of the photo's at the top of the screen in thumbnail size, but nothing appears in the large editing area.
Are my photo's lost? How can I get them back?

There are several possible causes for the Black Screen issue
1. Permissions in the Library: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to check and repair permissions.
2. Minor Database corruption: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.
3. A Damaged Photo: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and right click on it. From the resulting menu select 'Show File (or 'Show Original File' if that's available). Will the file open in Preview? If not then the file is damaged. Time to restore from your back up.
4. A corrupted iPhoto Cache: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto folder from HD/Users/Your Name/Library/ Caches...
5. A corrupted preference file: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
If none of these help:
As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

Didn't download / upload all my files from my idisk account; now i need some for some study work; what can i do to access them?

As Apple announced over 14 months ago, iDisk was shut down at the end of June 2012. They gave a one month extension for any laggards to download their data, and finally turned off the servers, deleting all files at the end of July.
Did you not keep offline backups of these important files, as recommended by Apple? You should never only have one copy of any important file, especially if that one copy if stored on someone elses server you don't have control over, and more importantly when they say it is being shut down forever.

Sending a large amount of data by "streaming"

I'm writing an app that requires the user to download a large (a few GBs potentially) amount of data that will be stored in a database. These are essentially thousands of records that we're transfering from the remote database to the local AIR SQLite database. I'd like to store the records in the database as they're transferred from the server rather than waiting for the full response before storing them. I think I'd like to transfer them using AMF. Is there a way to do this using AMF? Ideas? Tips? Thanks.

Oh shnaps! It looks like URLStream gives some support for AMF. I think that's what I'm after.

Yes. See thesupport article below. If you want to copy the contents from the EHD to your current library, make sure Preferences > Advanced > Copy files to Media folder when Adding to Library is checked beforehand.

The page may have been zoomed out. With Gmail on display try using the keyboard shortcut Control+0 (zero) to reset page zoom.
