I need to split a huge PDF. 136 MB. I paid for the service some months ago. I know it is way over the limit, but I cannot find a way to divide it.

I paid for the service, figured splitting it would be easy. But I cannot seem to do it. How do I save the original "in pieces"???

OK, so no Acrobat 8 after all (so sorry about that hard drive failure, that's no fun at all!). But all hope is not lost.
I think this what needs to happen:
Go to www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html and click Try It Now.
Click Download Now.
After the file has downloaded, double-click the installer file that you downloaded to install Acrobat XI.
Open your PDF your newly installed copy of Acrobat XI.
Follow the steps in the video that I linked to in a previous post.
Note that Acrobat and Reader offer different functionally, so the copy of Reader that you have won't do what you're after.

I am getting messages that I can't download and read .pdf files since I have the wrong Adobe reader. I know about their security disasters of course, but I downloaded the latest version of Adobe Reader from the Adobe web site and I have other ,pdf file readers as well, and for some reason they won't work either. I have 5 computers running top end processors and RAM. By this I mean I have one, this one which I am using that has an AMD Phenom Black 3.2 Quad-core with 8 GBs of Corsair top DDR2 RAM, my other two AMD have either an Athlon II triple core with 4 GBs of DDR2 Corsair RAM, one with the Phenom X4 965 3.4 GHz Quad-core with 8 GBs of their best DDR2 RAM, and two Intels with the i7 920 Processors using the triple channel 1366 socket processors and one with 8 GBs of low latency DDR3 RAM and the other with 4 GBs of the same RAM. I am getting the message on this one, which has a fresh install of XP Pro X64 operating system, as do the other 4 as well. I have run Avast Business Pro Anti-virus on this one, which I am getting the message on with a single result which I deleted, and also both Spybot Search and Destroy, which came back clean as well as Malwarebytes Antimalware, which got a lot of tracing cookies now removed, and SuperAntiSpware which also found a few cookies also now deleted. Can you tell me what I need to do to get these files to show as .pdf files rather than as a clean blank page. One other issue is that I wish to know how to turn off my downloads so they are saved and Mozilla will give me the option of returning them instead of me losing them all together as it does now. Image not displayed in pdf generated using Java API for Forms service

Hi,
I am creating a pdf document using Java API for Forms Service.
I am able to generate the pdf but the images are not visible in the generated pdf.
The image relative path is coming in the xml as defined below. The images are stored dynamically in the Livecycle repository each time a request is fired with unique name before the xml is generated.

Not sure if I need to specify specify specific URI values that are required to render a form with image.
The same thing is working when I generate pdf document using Java API for Output Service.
As, I need to generate interactive form, I have to use Forms service to generate pdfs.

As I wrote Apple will diagnose an Apple product even if it is out of warranty for free. That should be your first step to find out if the problem is the battery or something else.
Once you have Apple telling you a 7 month old battery is defective (if that turns out to be the case) then it becomes a game of horse trading. You'll need to speak to the tech and when he tells you there is nothing he can do you will need to speak to the tech manager and when she says most likely there is nothing they can do you go to the store manager, etc. It is unlikely (though possible) that they will give in easily you need to be firm, polite and let on that you're willing to accept a partial reimbursement.
So again the first step is to find out what is wrong.

If you backed up the device, all the data is in the backup. Restore the backup.
A better question is why would an intelligent person not copy the pictures from the device to the computer regularly, especially before attempting an update, as the device is designed to be used?

That's probably not a good idea to try to share apps since you will have to switch ID's each time you update apps and sync apps from iTunes.
And technically - according to Apple's terms - you cannot share apps using different ID's. You can actually lock yourself out of an ID for 90 days if you switch ID's and if you associate the iPad with another ID.

When you turn on iTunes Match or Automatic Downloads, or when you download past purchases on an iOS device or computer, that device or computer becomes associated with your Apple ID. This article describes how to manage these associations.

As Limnos says, you first need to update to OS X 10.6.8 before you can install iTunes 11 (please note the version numbers).
To update OS X close all running applications and make sure you have a current backup. Then pull down the Apple menu and select Software Update. This may show you several items that you can update. Choose OS X 10.6.8. This may take some time. After the process is complete you will be able to run Software Update again and it ought to offer you iTunes 11.
