is there a Way that I Can Stop Me from getting Spam E-Mail? EveryTime I open all My E-Mail Accounts I See a Whole bunch of Spam E-Mail in The Spam Folders when I open up My iMac E-Mail, I Have always been getting Spam E-Mail since 1998 when I 1st started using Computers & I wanted to know if there is a way where I Can Stop getting Spam E-Mail all together? I Have 7 E-Mail Accounts & there all getting Spam E-Mail is there a Mac Software where I can Stop getting Spam E-Mails? I Have seen a Software to be able to Stop Spam E-Mail but it's for a PC Microsoft Computer http://www.mailwasher.net/ Do they make something like that for an Apple iMac Computer to? or it has not come out on The Apple iMac Computer side yet?

You can set up "disposable" addresses that allow a limited number of messages (configurable by you for each such address) to be forwarded to another email account and then cuts off. Once you set up an account with them, you give out email addresses in this sort of form:

"somewordyoupick" is just a unique identifier for each usage and "x" is the number of messages you want to allow through. E.g.:
[email protected]
and you'd get only two messages from whoever you give that email to and then SpamGourmet will stop relaying. You can have as many "disposable" addresses as you can think of unique identifiers.
Obviously it won't stop spam to existing email addresses, but it's ideal for situations where you have to provide a valid email to get registered, or get some free download, or some such thing, but where you don't want to risk ending up on spam lists. I've been using it for years and I get very little spam (only when someone clearly sold their list).

I was able to restore my backup from my time machine ext drive to a new 1tb seagate ext drive. so i felt sort of ok. but yesterday that older ext drive i used for time machine wouldn't open! i called applecare and they trouble shooted with me and said it's probably a goner and data is probably corrupted. it's only a few years old and i'm very careful with it. my husband accidentally dropped my new drive last night -- i know, unbelievable, i was SO upset, poor guy -- but I'm so stressed with all of this. i have 10 years of photos and videos. so now i only have the one newer drive with a backup. i have to buy another one today to backup again so i at least have two backups. i tried to delete a ton of files last night to free up the 30 gb of space i need to get my full library back on my mac. i have 90gb free and deleted 7 years worth of photos i had on picasa that were in my "pictures" folder and also a ton or random photos and videos i had in that same pictures folder and thought that would give me the 30 gb but it hardly freed up any space at all! do you know why that is? all of this stuff is really a pain and really stressful. thank god i did have a backup in the first place but now i am panicked the one i have left will somehow crash. especially after my husband dropped the drive lastnight! it didn't fall far and fell onto a wood floor and seems fine, but after my older ext drive crashed yesterday -- and i lost my entire iphoto library a fewweeks ago off my mac -- i feel cursed. any answers you have would be great. thank you.

Need help filtering spam using Mail Rules

My me.com address is on a **** spam email circulation list. Most of the emails come from .RU or .UA and every email address is different. I receive up to 3 a day.
I have tried Mail rules to filter this, but for some reason it is not working. I have tried filtering the individual email address and all .RU addresses, but the Mail filter just doesn't apply the rule.
I normally use Aliases for any only registration - so I am not sure how my real me.com account name was found. I have also tried VIW/MESSAGE/RAW SOURCE (see results below). I have replaced my me.com email address with "[email protected]".
This spam is driving me nuts, so any help would be appreciated.

I have a rule set that if any mail is considered junk mail, to redirect it to [email protected] and to move it to the trash folder. I click "apply rules" on my junk mail, nothing happens. New spam comes in that it marks as Junk, nothing happens. I mark an email as junk, nothing happens.
After over a year of problem after problem with my mac, I have almost lost faith. Can someone please help us?? Is anyone out there??

Need advice on Unity Voice Mail Please

Around 4 years ago, i inherited a CCM v4 as part of a business relocation.
I've had no formal training on CCM, so everything i know, I've taught myself.
The system includes a Unity VM server, which until today has been switched off, as we've had no previous use for it.
I'm now trying to get my head around how it works.
I've created a user profile in Unity Admin, and allocated a log in as 5321, with password 12345.
There appears to be a number of lines in to the Unity server starting ext 8000 through to 8016, each of which answers with "Hello, Cisco Unity Messaging System, you can dial an extension at anytime."
I dial 5321 and leave a message in the mailbox.
If i log in to 5321 with the password I can retrieve the message.
So it seems that Unity is working OK.
What i'm struggling with, how would an end user divert all thier calls to 5321.
The way i see it at the moment, is that who ever is calling me would need to know either the ID (5321) or the name.
I'd like the end user to be able to divert all thier calls using "CFwdAll" to thier respective mail box, but not sure how to do this ?No, that is not correct. You should not be dialing those 8XXX numbers directly. Those numbers are tied to the VM Ports that connect the Unity server with CUCM. Depending on your licensing on the Unity server, you have a certain amount of VM Ports. The VM Ports are used for taking calls, setting message waiting indicators and TRAP connections. Below I will try to explain this process.
1 - Create VM Ports and assign an extension.
2 - Assign these VM Ports to a Line Group.
3 - Assign the Line Group to a Hunt Group.
4 - Assign a Hunt Group to a Hunt List.
5 - Assign a Hunt List to a Hunt Pilot. You would then assign the Hunt Pilot with an extension. This extension is what is dialed to reach the Unity server.
6 - You create a VM Pilot with the same extension that you assign the Hunt Pilot.
7 - You create a VM Profile and assign it the VM Pilot. You have the option to make this VM Profile the default for the system, which is why you would only see "Default or None" under a Directory Number.
8 - Assign a VM Profile to a users DN.
When you create users in Unity you assign the users with their extensions. When the users dial into the Unity system, Unity sees their extension and if it matches a configured user, it will play the login prompt. -
Need Help With After Effects. Please read.

So I'm using after effects cs6. The problem I have with it is that the final video after exporting stucks in between and never runs smoothly. I exported my almost 7 minutes video as a quicktime file that is (.mov). SO whenever I play the video in quicktime or any other player, it stucks, sometimes i pause it but it pauses after 10 seconds i click the pause button. sometimes the voice is ahead of sound and vice-versa. It doesnt stuck at the same point everytime. I need my video to run smoothly. Can someone please help.

I am receiving 100's of spam emails. They are all advertising different types of products but they all say they are from AT&T High Speed Internet. I have used the junk filter on them but it does not pick them up as junk. I have to do it manually each time. I have contacted my UVerse provider and they cannot assist because it is getting through Yahoo to Thunderbird. They say that it is a problem that I will have to have assistance from Thunderbird to resolve so that I can have this listed as junk and will not have to do this manually. I am at my wit's end. Please, please help me!
Yahoo has its own junk mail filter (Spamguard), which you should confirm is enabled:

The significance of this is that marking messages as junk in Thunderbird probably isn't integrated with Yahoo's system, so Yahoo may not be getting trained to block them. You might need to go into Yahoo from time to time and mark accumulated junk as spam.
Separately, there are solutions for filtering spam on your computer as the mail is downloaded from Yahoo. Thunderbird has a built-in filter, as described here: [[Thunderbird and Junk / Spam Messages]]. However, if that isn't as effective you would like, there are third party products as well. -

Need to stop instance of mc onEnterFrame
(running CS3 and doing this in AS2)
i have a looping animation of a ball rotating, that i need to stop rotating once it reaches a particular frame (we'll say frame 60).
i tried putting:
ball_mc.onEnterFrame = function() {
ball_mc.stop();
(ball_mc is the instance name of a particular movie clip. i do not want to reference the actual mc as i have about 10 instances of it on the timeline)
everything is taking place on the main stage at the root level, but i can't seem to get the animation to stop.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

The only way to tell a movieclip to stop is to tell it to stop, so you will have to reference it. There are many ways to do such a thing, but without knowing exactly what you are trying to accomplish (with the whole project) it is hard to give exact advice.
The next thing is that I don't think onEnterFrame is what you are thinking it is. It means to repeat the code at the frame rate, it doesn't mean, "Do this when this frame is reached." If you just want to do something when you reach a frame you put a keyframe and add code like:
ball.stop();
All code on that frame will execute before the screen is redrawn. So I think that is what you are after.
Finally, there are a couple of reasons that the code above might not stop a given movieclip.
The first and most common reason would be that you have a scope problem. That that ball isn't a child of the current timeline. So if ball was actually inside another movie clip you might need to do something like
theOrbs.ball.stop();
Or perhaps you have mistyped or misnamed the instance. So if the instance name is Ball and you say ball.stop() it won't work because capitazliation and spelling matter.
Another popular way that stop() wouldn't work is if the animation of the clip is being done by code. stop() only stops the playhead on the specified timeline. So if there is some code making the ball move stopping its timeline won't stop the code.
And a similar issue to the scope and code issue is that if the animation that makes the ball move is actually provided by a movieclip nested inside of ball then ball.stop() will stop the ball's timeline, but not the independent timelines of its children.
So we need to know more about how you have designed your project. -

I'm curious, though, as to why you want to do this. Mail is typically one of the services that people want to run 24/7 so they don't miss out on any emails (even though SMTP can tolerate this). Why do you want to shut yours down? -
How to stop Verizon from treating non-spam e-mail as spam?
I subscribe to New Scientist magazine. Along with this is the option to get a weekly e-newsletter from them.
I had set this up over two years ago, and I was successfully receiving these weekly e-newsletters.
All of a sudden, after the 9 Jan 2014 e-newsletter issue, I stopped receiving them.
I've been in contact with New Scientist, who assures me my account is properly configured to continue recieving these newsletters, and I have verified that my Verizon account is set up to accept these e-mails in the "Safe Senders" list.
But I still no longer receive these e-mails.
Has Verizon inadvertently added "newscientisit.com" as a source of spam? If so, please correct this error.
I'm posting this here since I have not found a way to directly contact "support" with an e-mail.How do you have the Verizon spam filter set? Make sure you set it to save spam in a folder rather than deleting it.
Check that folder. IF the newsletter is going there you can write a rule to allow a copy to be sent to you EVEN if the newsletter is still considered spam. You should also mark the newsletter as not spam, and hopefully they will update it to stop flagging it. -
My Mail programme appears to have locked up. It's showing as open in my doc but in reality I can't open it and it won't quit. If I try to shut the machine down it tells me that I need to quit Mail but I can't! Any hints please?

I have dual screens (19" & 24"). This is a problem on the non-primary screen (screen #2). If I close the window in full it will open in full. If I pick any other size/location it always opens the same size in the same location. The location is center
