I need to suppress ReportCrash - Problem with Skype

I need to use skype for my business. Unfortunately, it's kinda unavoidable and not easily replaced. I also just updated skype to the latest version in hopes that it would fix this problem, but unfortunately no such luck. I know this isn't a forum about skype help, and I'm not expecting someone to tell me how to fix skype so it doesn't do it here, but rather if someone could tell me if you can suppress reportcrash from being set off by skype that would be very helpful.
So basically every time I launch skype it also sets off reportcrash. Then report crash uses 100% of my CPU, draining my battery, making things slow, etc... I quit skype, report crash still keeps on running. I go to the terminal and I go to kill it, another report crash process just pops up, even if skype has already been quit. The only thing that solves the problem is a restart, but then once I launch skype it happens all over agian.
If it's possible to suppress reportcrash that would be great. What does that do anyways? I mean ideally I'd like to suppress it just for skype, but if it's not all that important I don't care about suppresing

Downgrade to an older version?  Or contact Microsoft support and sort out what's wrong? 
What you're describing  — reportcrash going compute-bound — could be a problem with your Mac, however.  Try Skype from a different login and see if it has problems there, and try from a different Mac — I'd be surprised if there was widespread, generic problem across multiple versions, and which would then imply there's something else off or wrong with local environment.  Also launch Console.app from Applications > Utilities and then launch Skype and see if there's some sort of repeating crash that's happening secondary to Skype.
Are there any anti-virus, anti-malware, I/O or system performance-enhancing tools or other add-ons that improve or speed or enhance or protect?  Remove those per the package documentation, and re-try access to Skype.
