I need to switch my ipod from one library to another please help me!

Question

i keep my itunes on my computer at my dads...i took my ipod home and switched the computer there to be the source for my ipod...and i accidentally deleted all of my songs off of it. i was wondering how i could put the songs from my dad's computer back onto my ipod. please help. it will be greatly appreciated.

Your iPod is set to update automatically. Take it back to the first computer and connect it, it will update and reload your songs. Once you have done that, change the update setting on your iPod to manual and you'll be able to use it on both computers:

The iPod offers three ways to transfer music from your computer. You can select one of the following update modes from the iPod Preferences.

Connect your iPod to your computer and when it appears in the Source list go to Edit>iTunes>Music Tab (iTunes>Preferences>Music tab on a Mac). Choose one of the following options
1) Automatically update all songs and playlists. This is the default mode, in which your entire music library, including playlists, is automatically synced to your iPod. If the music library on your computer exceeds the iPod storage capacity, you are prompted to select a different update method.
2) Automatically update selected playlists only. With this option, iTunes automatically copies the playlists you have selected to the iPod when you connect it to the computer.
3) Manually manage songs and playlists. You can also choose to transfer music to the iPod manually. This allows you to drag and drop individual songs and playlists from iTunes to the iPod.

Note: When changing from automatic to manual, check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Don't uncheck Sync Music it will be unchecked by default when you choose the manual setting.
