I need to transfer photos from my i phone to my mac, I opened up image capture and plugged in my phone and no pictures showed up to upload. why?

Can any one help me with this ?

If no photos showed up in Image Capture the photos on your iPhone may not be in the iPhone Camera Roll. Is this the case?
If it is, your photos may have been synced to your iPhone from a computer..
To transfer these photos use an App like Photo Transfer which can transfer them wirelessly to your Mac.

or you could use a cloud-based service like Dropbox.

If you need to change the iCloud ID on your new phone you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.  If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • HT201302 The USB cord needed to transfer photos from my iPhone 5 to Windows XP has nothing to do with the charger cord, which appears to be an USB cable, but is not?

The USB cord needed to transfer photos from my iPhone 5 to Windows XP has nothing to do with the charging cord which appears to have an USB 'end', but apparantly is not, as it will not fit into any USB port on my PC?

An iPhone 5 comes with a single cable. It is a USB to Lightning connector cable that is used for charging, for syncing, and for transferring photos from the Camera Roll to your computer. There is no separate cable for charging.

How to transfer photos from a camera chip to my Mac Pro Desk Top?

Take the memory card out of the camera and insert it into a card reader then use Finder to copy the iomages over to a folder on the Mac desktop.
Basically the exact same way you would do it on any make or model computer.

  • How do I transfer photos from my iphone to my desktop Mac?

Transfering photos from iphone 4 to my desktop mac?

There are many ways. The easiest is to connect your iPhone to your Mac via the USB cable, start up iPhoto, and choose to "import all" from the iPhone.
Another easy way is to use the Image Capture application. You can download the photos from your phone to any location on your Mac's drive. This is a good choice if you don't use iPhoto, don't have iPhoto, or have only a very old version of iPhoto.
You can also get a free app such as WiFi Photo Transfer. Using that app, you can download any or all of the photos on your iPhone to any other device that has a web browser - even another iPhone.

  • I need to transfer photos from my THC T-Mobile Radar phone to my iMac. I've been given many options referring on the way to do this; Bluetooth, Google Drive, USB cord from phone to Mac...which do you suggest?

I want to transfer photos taken with my Radar Phone (T-Mobile) to my iMac so I can email them to friends. I have been told that I have several options in order to make this happen: Bluetooth, Google Drive, USB cable from phone to iMad, a cloud destination...which is best, and have any of you tried to do this via a Windows phone to a Mac. I'm at [email protected]
    Thank you.

Forget the HTC Sync Manager - it does nothing but lock up and crash everytime I use it.
Instead, get the official "Android File Transfer" application for Macintosh computers from Android.  It opens up your Android device with something that looks just like a Finder, allowing you to copy/move/delete anything.
I was able to backup over 4 GB of photos and videos from HTC One S to my iMac and then delete them from my phone in a matter of minutes...

  • I am wanting to transfer photos from a windows laptop to my mac.......solutions?????

I am wanting to transfer pictures from my Aces laptop to my mac by way of a thumb drive ,  ...It is coming up that it is not compatible with iphoto...do you have any possible solutions?

You cannot transfer photos via Bluetooth. The iPhone has never supported this type of file transfer. You will need to either use the Photostream in iCloud or connect the device to the computer, then import the photos, and then sync them to the iPad.

  • How do I transfer photos from an iPad to a new Mac?

I had my previous Mac stolen when my house was broken into.  Luckily I had all my photos backed up on my iPad but I am now having problems transferring these photos onto my new Mac (since my iPad is still tied to my stolen Mac).
    Any suggestions?  Many thanks!

The transfer of photos from your computer via the iTunes sync/transfer process is a one way transfer process only - from your computer to the iPad. The iPad is not designed or intended to be a backup storage device. Photos transferred from your computer are optimized for viewing on your iPad - the resolution of most or all of these photos is reduced on your iPad, which is why transferring these photos in the opposite direction is not supported.
There are some 3Rd party paid utilities that provide for transferring these photos in the opposite direction, but such utilities are not supported by Apple and the original resolution of the photos will be lost. Here is one such utility that is Mac compatible.

  • Transfer photos from G5 (OS 10.5) to Mac Pro (OS 10.6)?

I am in the process of moving from one machine to another, and I've transferred a lot of apps from the "leopard" machine to the "snow leopard".  Among others I've moved iPhoto,  iPhoto Library, and iPhoto Library Manager.  When I try to open iPhoto or iPhoto Library, an error message comes up -  "iPhoto cannot be opened because of a problem".  There's more, saying "Check with the developer....You may need to reinstall the app".  There's also a long Problem Details and System Configuration. I could append that, but I feel that this problem may have been addressed before - but I haven't been able to find it.

In a chat session today,  I learned that there is no iPhone for Snow Leopard in the apple store.  They said that iPhone should have been included in the OS installation. It was not.  They said that I should use the installation disc with the optional custom install choice to put an OS 10.6 iPhone in my applications folder.  But iPhone is not included in the list of packages that could be chosen.  I have, however, used the custom install to add Rosetta.  After that install I still get the error message "iPhoto could not be opened because of a problem".  In desperation I installed Tiger (OS X 10.4) on one of the hard drive partitions. That iPhone works, but entirely too well.  When I use the iPhoto for that OS (10.4) to open the iPhoto Library transferred from my G5, it takes a library that contains roughly 1K images and creates a library with about 10K images.  As far as I can tell, all the images that were in the small group are present in the large group.  So, I could, by a process of culling about 9K images, produce a photo library like what was on my G5.
I find that I do have a copy of migration assistant.  It's on the partition that contains OS 10.7 Lion, which, so far, I have never used.  I fear that trying to use that would add one more layer of complexity.
As of now, I have one solution to transferring photos, but that one is extremely unattractive.
Are those 'iPhones' meant to be 'iPhoto'. It doesn't make sense otherwise, let me guess typed on iOS?
iPhoto isn't part of the OS install unless you are using an original grey installer disc that had iLife included.
Migration Assistant has been a part of the OS for many years, but Apple keep moving it around.
Try looking in the following locations…
    /Applications/
    /Applications/Utilities/
    /System/Library/CoreServices/
It is pretty reliable at moving from older systems so try a migration from the G5 disk to 10.6. There is the real possibility that the G5 version of iPhoto just won't work unless you use an installer.
You may be able to find an old copy to install correctly. I think iLife 09 and iLife 11 support 10.6.8. The App Store version doesn't support 10.6.8 so persionally I'd look for iLife 09 so you don't miss the last lot of bug fixes.
PS. Make sure the OS is upto date when you test.

  • I need to transfer photos from my iPod touch to my father's computer (Mac).

It is not synced to the computer. All I can see on the phone are saved pictures, but not the albums.  How do I transfer the photos that were on my computer in the albums?

As you found out, you can only easily transfer picture fro the iPod's camera roll to a computer.
For synced photos you have to use a third-party program like PhoneView or TouchCopy.

  • Transfer photos from iPhone 5 to iPhoto on Mac

Sometimes my photos automatically transfer from the iphone to iphoto - or maybe I am doing something to cause it because I am playing around with it.  But it generally takes hours.  I want to do this quickly.  Can you tell me how?

Connect iPhone to Mac. Start iPhoto on the Mac. Select your phone in iPhoto and copy your pictures to the Mac.

  • How to transfer photos from photo library to mac

I transferred photos from my first computer to my iphone using itunes, now that computer is dead and i need to transfer photos from those folders into my second mac. I can locate only the pics in camera roll and cannot sync other pictures from iphone. These pics are in iphone and i cannot transfer them. PLs help

You can only transfer Camera Roll photos to the computer. The Photo Library photos should have been transfered from the computer to the phone. Why aren't they still on your computer?
The only way to get them off, without jailbreaking, is to download a program that lets you pull stuff off the phone. These usually cost $20-30. I've never used one, so I wouldn't know what one to suggest. But here is an example: http://www.ipodrobot.com/ You can find a bunch of different ones. Also realize that these photos have been optimized for the iphone and they might not be in full resolution when you get them back.

  • How can I transfer photos from ipad 1 to pc

    I have an ipad 1 - ios 5.1.1
I want to transfer the photos on the ipad to a windows 8 pc.
Should be a really simple operation - yes? wrong.
After visiting 30+ webpages, downloading various 3rd party software (and deleting them again) - I am still unable to transfer photos from my ipad to a windows pc.
I connect the ipad 1 to a pc using cable.
    PC shows ipad.
Then you get the option to import photos (Which 20+ websites just repeat).
Contained in the DCIM Folder is 2 thumbnail photos. Yes - just 2. Two.
Stored on the ipad is nearly 3,000 photo's. NOT 2!
So how do you move photos from an ipad to PC?
    Next problem.
Someone recommended using Syncios - wonderful.
    All photos found.
All photos copied - except they are copied as thumbnails.
It would seem that ipad stores your photos as a thumbnail - but when you email the photo the true size is sent. (Thumbnail is 11kb - when I attach the same photo to an email it shows it as 1.1mb)
So - apart from creating and sending 3000 emails - so that I can transfer photos at their original resolution - HOW DO YOU TRANSFER PHOTOS FROM IPAD 1 TO A PC.
Apple really couldn't have made a 30second operation more difficult - or deliberately impossible.
There is NO option to do this via iTunes.
I can transfer photos from a PC to iPad using iTunes - but not the other way around.
So - please - does anyone have a degree in astro-physics that can explain how a person is supposed to transfer full sized photos, that are stored as thumbnails - from an iPAD 1 to a Win 8 pc?
ps... and yes I am irritated. This has taken me 2 days so far, and still unable.
pps... and no, I really don't need people posting - oh yes I have the same problem... I need answers.

HHow did the photos get on your iPad? since the original iPad does not have a camera, the photos were either received in emails, copied from the web or synced from your computer. If they were copied from emails or the web they should be available to copy off the iPad using whatever Camera or image capture application you have on your computer. Connect your iPad, start the application and transfer the photos.
if the photos were synced from your computer, they should still be on the computer used to sync from.
