I need to upgrade CS4 to CS5.5 design premium Windows

After a system crash I had to reinstall CS4. We bought an upgrade to CS5.5 but I can't find the upgrade link.

If you had purchased upgrade of CS5.5 from CS4 then you might got the upgrade serial number of CS5.5.
When you install CS5.5 you will also get the prompt to enter the serial of previous qualifying version of application
after putting CS5.5 serial key.
You can download CS5.5 from the following direact download page:

Note: Please the "Very Important Instructions" before start download CS5.5 in order to avoid any error message.

You can download the trial installer directly from the link below. You will need to be on a trial download page in order to use the links, otherwise you will get an error message. For example load up the following page: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=production_premium before pasting the link into the address bar and login with your adobe id and then cancel the download. Then open the below link and try downloading the application.

Upgrade CS5.5 Design Premium with CS5.5 Production Premium

I would like to upgrade my current CS5.5 Design Premium with CS5.5 Production Premium; but, have been told, in so doing, I would lost access to InDesign. Is that accurate? I would think it is a matter of doing a selective install to not overwrite the overlapped programs, but I want to be sure before making the purchase.

It's because of the Security options.
Go to System Preferences... > Security & Privacy and there should be a button saying Open Anyway, under the General tab.
You can avoid doing this by changing the options under Allow apps downloaded from:, however I would recommend keeping it at the default Mac App Store and identified developers.

Windows 8 and CS5.5 Design Premium

I got a new computer for Christmas and it is running Windows 8. Do I need any updates for my CS5.5 Design Premium? The Adobe Flash Catalyst does not appear to be installing properly and the "Read Me" documentation does not address Windows 8 issues.

Sorry, but Flash Catalyst was discontinued by Adobe, and will not be supported on newer operating systems.

MoeGhazal I reviewed your account and it looks like you have have upgraded from a CS4 volume license for Design Premium to a retail upgrade of Design Premium 5.5.
I also show that you made two purchases of CS5.5 Design Premium but the second purchase was canceled. Please make sure you are utilizing the serial number which ends in 7886.
If you are using the correct serial number then it is likely the installer will not recognize your volume license CS4 serial number as being valid for an upgrade. If you can contact our support team then you can be walked through an unlocking procedure to allow you to proceed with the installation. You can contact our support team directly at Contact Customer Care. You may want to try installing a web browser you have not previously utilized. It is likely a toolbar or some other software application is affecting your ability to access chat support successfully.

Trying to upgrade CS4 to CS5.5

I am currently trying to upgrade CS4 Design Standard to CS5.5 Design Premium on PC. When I entrer serial number for CS4, the setup program says it is not a qualifying product. (even though it is say it is on menu).
I had the same issue when I upgraded my last computer and was able to get support. Is there a support email or phone number I can ring?

Meine Frage: Wenn man erst kürzlich (!?) eine CS Vollversion (Int. English) gekauft hat, gibt es dann vielleicht eine vergünstigte Update-Möglichkeit auf die / eine aktuelle Version?
Den Beitrag Upgrade CS4 zu CS5, Student Edition habe ich gelesen, leider ohne Funktionalität in meinem Test. Die auf der I meet the requirements. How do I place my order? Seite angegebene Erläuterung der einzelnen Punkte (4. In the Choose Issue Type menu, …) kann ich nicht ausfindig machen?

Man bekommt ein Upgrade nicht günstiger, je kürzer man mit der Vorgängerversion gearbeitet hat.

Upgrading from CS3 to CS5.5 Design Premium??

Hi there, I work for a small print company and we are in the process of upgrading from CS3 to CS5.5 Design premium, the company has purchased a new Mac (runs Lion 10.7), our old Mac is on 10.4 and it has run CS2 upgrade, and a few years back we installed the CS3 upgrade. We have not installed any of the creative suite onto the new Mac and I am wondering can I just buy the CS5.5 upgrade and use the CS3 upgrade serial number when installing? Will this be enough?
Or do I need to go back to the initial Creative Suite that the company brought from scratch and enter that serial number?
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

Just have the serial number from CS3 handy when you install.
More good news for you. Starting today if you buy CS5.5 you get a free upgrade to CS6 when it ships.

Thanks for your response, but if you read my first mail, it's the original serial number that I don't have. I bought the original LR as download and have misplaced the serial number. Is there any way to find it???

Yes, you can save compatible files as long as you obey the rules like not using unsupported features such as nested groups, per group clipping masks, smart objects and several other things in Photoshop and use the "Maximize Compatibility" option. Illustrator will simply expand the appearance of objects or rasterize/ flatten them when going back to older versions if a feature is not available or changed in those old versions.

I have Photoshop CS5.5 Design Premium and need to open Nikon NEF files.
I just downloaded the plug in for CS5.5 and it does not work. I put the Camera Raw.8bi file in the correct location as specifiec in the "read me" file.
Can someone guide me on how to do this, adn make it work?

so far no luck.
I ran DNG program for Windows (I have Win 8) and ran the menu to convert
the files on the same memory card from the camera.   Of 135 files, the
status column for the first 68 files said "converted," but the for all the
rest, it says "There was an error writing the file."
Of the files that "converted," they do not open, and I get the same error
message as before: "Could not complete your request because it is not the
right kind of document."
So, what a mess.
I get conflicting indications of the version of Photoshop I have. When i
click "About Photoshop in the Help menu, it says CS5 Extended.    The Error
message for the dng files says CS5.1 Extended. Does it make a difference?
I've been at this three hours now. It's a pain.   For many years I had no
problem with NEF files, as I had installed the plug-in as required. This
time it is not working. So I am not new to this.

I own CS5.5 Design Premium and I want to download it onto my new Mac. Except, this Mac does not have a place to put my installation CD in. So I am wanting to download Design Premium either in trial version or whatever in which I will input my serial number and thus have full access to all the design premium applications. Yet, I am unable to find the trial version for CS5.5 Design Premium... I have tried to download it via this link here but each time the download does not seem to work/finish. I think it is because it is the full version and believes that I don't have a serial number. I'm not sure. Someone please help me.

Why is my CS5.5 Design Premium upgrade limited to only one computer?

When I purchased Creaive Suite 5.0 Design Premium in 2010, I was allowed to have it on two computers. In January of this year, I upgraded to Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium because I bought a new computer.
Why am I not allowed to have the upgrade on two computers?

I deactivated the product on my old computer in order to activate it on the
new. But when I went to install (set up) the upgrade on my second computer,
I was told that, althought the serial number is valid, "a qualifying
product cannot be found on this computer".
Maybe that is because I deleted to old product (CS5.0) in order to make way
for the new? (Before I did the delete I was told that there was not enough
memory on the computer to accomodate the new CS5.5.)

Adobe CS5.5 Design Premium Serial Number Not Working

I just wiped my macbook pro harddrive and upgraded to Lion OSX. I bought the CS5 Design Premium last year (in a case). Unfortunately, my discs are unavailable, but I do have the correct serial number. When I downloaded the CS5.5 Design premium trial (to plug in my serial number), it says it isn't valid. Is there a place that I can download the CS5 Design Premium Suite so that my serial number will work? Help! I'm a photographer and I need PS to work immediately!

Maddiewilbur have you lost your installation media or is it just unavailable for the moment? If you will have access to the installation media at a later time I would recommned installing the trial of Design Premium CS5.5 and then remove it and install CS5 once you have access to it.
