After 2 hours of back and forth...I went from getting an UPGRADE from CS5 to CS6 to ADOBE making me delete the CS5 on my computer and reinstalling (via download from the ADOBE website) a NEW version of CS6. My serial number for adobe photoshop elements 12 and premiere elements 12 does not work. On adobe.com it shows that the serial number I received is associated with adobe photoshop elements 9 and premiere elements 9. I have purchased those products in the past, but just recently upgraded to elements 12. I can use the the photoshop organizer, but can't open the photoshop editor.

You need to contact Adobe Support either by chat or via phone when you have serial number and activation issues.

The serial number for a boxed version is usually found inside on the disc cover/box, not the outer box.

I purchased a software CD from Amazon for Lightroom 5 upgrade and now I need a serial number so that it can be registered and operational. The box shows these two numbers, PN: 65215274 and also, LTRM,5.0,MLP,UPG,UE001,DV.
Neither of these numbers are recognized by ADOBE. What can I do in order for me to receive the necessary serial number needed for my product's registration?

It is likely that he has exclusive rights to sell Adobe products in most of Africa, therefore other sources will not be able to legally sell you the number.

You don't need a serial number. The problem you're having is due to having the iWork trial installed. You need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD or the Mac App Store. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user.
Yvan Koenig has written an AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his box.com account in for_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 items > uninstall iWork '09.zip.

Your serial number can also be found in iTunes/Edit/Preferences/Devices. Move the mouse pointer over the listed backup and the info will show up.

I cannot get a working serial number for Elements 9. Adobe and Dell keep sending me back and forth

Elements 9 worked fine. It had been preloaded by Dell. I had a hard drive go bad and put in a new one. When I re-installed it Elements said the serial was invalid. Dell says it is an Adobe license and I must deal with them. Adobe sent me to the point of purchase (Dell). Dell says the yellow sticker on the disc sleeve was attached by Adobe and the serial number on it was assigned by them. If that is the case Adobe should rectify this. I paid for a product and nobody has been willing to help me out. I've spent 2 hours going back and forth with Adobe and an hour with Dell. This crap is giving me an upset stomach.

you might let someone else try entering that license number (should be 6 groups of 4 digits). sometimes the fingers and brain do and see something repeatedly and miss the obvious.
