Click the Bookmarks icon in the Safari toolbar.
On the right hover your cursor just above the line where you see Bookmark and Address. When you see the small white hand drag up or down as needed to reveal your Bookmarks.

How can I get back the space to type in web addresses when I click on safari. it seems to have gone away??

I am trying to find out how to get back the space up top of window that appears when I click on safari. I used to be able to type in web addresses and go to places but somehow I lost the space which was just above or just below gray space that show apple, store, mac, ipod etc. I am 78 & sometimes get confused. any hep would be greatly appreciated. I know I had my arrow on somewhere near that space and heard a sound and when I looked back at my puter that space was gone. ??? any ideas,, Annette l

When Safari is active, in the menu bar at the top of the screen, there's a menu labeled View. From that menu, select Show Toolbar. It's right at the top.

Sorry, without the Sync Key you can't use Sync to recover your personal data. If you have another device that was connected that Sync account, you can recover your Sync Key from that other device in the Password Manager on non-mobile devices. Your email address (used as your Apple ID) does not matter, because iPods are not directly linked to a particular Apple ID.
NOTE: You can still use your old Apple ID, even if your that email address is no longer valid. As long as you remember your Apple ID password. Go here and click on Manage your Apple ID.

You can change the primary email address used by Apple, although the Apple ID remains the same.
Back to the iPod. iTunes syncing is generally in one direction only, from the computer's iTunes library to the iPod. You cannot use iTunes to transfer song files from iPod to computer, except for songs purchased from the iTunes Store. You may very well have damaged your library - or even your system by not having adaquate storage available
And never select all of the pitcture and move them - that will destroy your library - the iPhotolibrary is a SQLite database and must always be kept intact as a single entity -
Moving the iPhoto library is safe and simple - quit iPhoto and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity to the external drive - depress the option key and launch iPhoto using the "select library" option to point to the new location on the external drive - fully test it and then trash the old library on the internal drive (test one more time prior to emptying the trash)
And be sure that the External drive is formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) (iPhoto does not work with drives with other formats) and that it is always available prior to launching iPhoto
And backup soon and often - having your iPhoto library on an external drive is not a backup and if you are using Time Machine you need to check and be sure that TM is backing up your external drive

To import music into your iTunes library on the computer go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Add items to iTunes and follow the instructions
Delete the "songs" that do not play in your iTunes library and reimport them.

It depends how you installed it.
If you installed from your iLife 11 DVD, then you can insert the DVD and install it again.
If you purchased it from the Mac App Store, you can open the Mac App Store, go to the Purchases tab, and reinstall from there.

          Remove all website data

I was trying to delete a web address my brother put into my computer. I had meant to just delete the history but it deleted the whole area and now I have no where to type an address and my google search bar in gone as well.

Well you do not say which browser you are using.
In Safari option-command-T hides the address bar
Are if you need to control click in the tool bar area to customize and return default address bar or same thing under View>customize toolbar

As stated above, when I would enter a web address in the main bar at the top of Firefox, the browser would go directly to that website (e.g., nytimes, or pcmag, etc...).
Now it goes to a search results page, where I have to click on NY Times, or PC Mag, to get to the website. It is a two-step process instead of one!

I have also tried to click and drag but it wont let me either. I have reformatted the external hard drive to accept both mac and pc files and this did not make any difference. Can anyone help me with this?

How did you reformat the drive? If you formatted it as NTFS, your Mac will not be able to write files to it unless you use a small application such as Paragon's.
Please reply as to how you formatted the drive.
