I no longer have the computer that I used to sync my Ipod touch.  So Itunes does nto recognize it.  My Ipod is diabled and locked so i cannot enter the passcode.

I no longer have the computer I used to sync my Ipod Touch when it was new. Now the Ipod is locked and disabled and Itunes requests me to enter the passcode which I cannot do becasue the Ipod is locked!  Any suggestions?

If you cannot connect it to the computer to which the device was last connected (or the device was never connected to a computer) you will have to use recovery mode to completely reset the device, losing all data:
iOS: Unable to update or restore - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 - recovery mode (e.g., cannot connect to computer last used to sync device, iTunes still asks for a password)

The computer that I used to sync my Ipad with crashed.  How can I copy the pictures from my Ipad to my new computer?  When I try to use Picassa to import them I can only see the 'Camera Roll; folder but I have several other folders with hundreds of pictures in them

To copy photos to your computer that were taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites then see this page - on a PC you can use the windows camera wizard
To copy photos that were originally synced from a computer you will need a third-party app on your iPad such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer.

I purchased the Microsoft Office last September at an Apple Store. I recently had to bring my MacBook Pro back to the store because of some issues. Reboot caused me to lose Office and I no longer have the passcode. Where can I find my duplicate code? I no longer have the receipt so I can not call the business to find my duplicate code. Looking back at my bank statements, this purchase was quite spendy so I hope I will not have to purchase it again if possible! Any advice would be great!

It should be on a stickerthat says product key on the inner sleeve inside the bos which the disc comes in.

  • The computer I was using to sync my iPod crashed how can I transfer my music and audiobooks from the iPod to my new ipad?

The computer I use to sync my iPod crashed. How do I transfer the music and audiobooks to my new ipad?

    - Transfer iTunes purchases to the computer by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
    - Transfer other music by using a thrird-party program like one of thos discussed here:
    Copy music
    - Connect the old iPd to the computer and make a backup by right clicking on the iPOd under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up.
    - Restore the new iPod from that backup. You will have to reeenter passwords since they only get restored to same device.

  • HT1420 I only have 2 computer that are using my ID

I keep getting a error saying that I can only have 5 comuters for my ID. Looked at what I had and I deleted 2 so I only have 3 now and still getting that error message HELP

Where/how have you deleted them ? If from the 'manage devices' section of your account then that doesn't deauthorise a computer, that is done via the Store > Deauthorise This Computer menu option on them - or is that what you've done ?

  • My nephew put a password on my ipad but my recent computer that I used to sync is no longer available how do I unlock it

I can't use my ipad, i tried home/sleep[off/on] buttons together but nothing happened.  The passcode keypad still pops up when I turned it on.  Help me.

It needs to be connected to a network to have a chance of locating it - which could be wifi or 3G (if it's a 3G model). And that also applies to if it is rebooted, it would still need to be connected to a network after it reboots. If the iPad is reset (i.e. wiped) then you won't be able to locate it as your info will have been removed from it. If it is lost in another state then you may still be able to locate it (with the above network proviso), but as to whether you could then get it back would depend upon the police in the other state.

  • When I turn on the iPod, it says "iPod is disabled." I have never plugged this iPod into my computer and no longer have the computer I used before. Also the power button (Located at the top of the iPod) is broken. All I need to do is completely restore it

I am not sure on what to do at this point. I have gotten rid of my old computer, I had used to sync my iPod, and to add to that.. The back button broke! I have tried everything from jailbreaking techniques, to just plugging it in to my new computer and trying to sync it. When I plug it in, and error message comes up on iTunes saying, "You cannot acces iTunes with this iPod, because it is locked with a passcode." My friends locked me out, changed the passcode, and nobody remembers it. Help would be greatly appriciated! My email is, [email protected] the other one is my old email and I am no longer in use of that so the best way to get back to me is by responding through email. Thank you for your time!

    To restore from backup see:

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:

  • I am logged in as a 'guest' on a computer that is used by others. I would like to totally hide my browsing history by 'resetting safari' but wonder if this will cause problems for the other users....Or does the resetting just apply to the guest?

I am logged in a computer (that is used by others) as a 'guest'.  I would like to completely hide my browsing history and I hear this is done by 'resetting Safari'.  My question is, will this mess things up for the other people who logg into use the computer?  Or does the resetting apply only to the guest?

    Hi Chris
anything, including resetting, that you do as guest should not affect other users who log into their own accounts. Just logging out of guest should remove the obvious history/cookies etc although of course it's possible for an admin of that computer to keep track of some info.

  • I want to access my itunes account on my parents computer. It already has another itunes account on it.  I no longer have the original computer that my itunes account was on. How do I access my itunes now in these circumstances?

I can try, but I don't understand your problem.
    What device are you using?
Do they have a Mac or a PC?
Do they have devices they are using?
What do you want to access?  Do you want to sync that information you access?

  • How do you delete photos from an iphone 5 using ios7 that have been uploaded from a computer? Hitch: I no longer have the old computer.

When I was upgrading from the iphone 4 to the iphone 5, i uploaded all of the pictures from the iphone 4 to my computer and then added them to the iphone 5. I no longer have the laptop that the pictures were uploaded to (crashed). There are several pictures that I now wish to remove from my iphone 5 that had been uploaded from the old laptop but am unable to do so. I googled it many times and everything says go back and sync via itunes yadda yadda. i get that part, but i don't have access to the photos anymore from a laptop, only on my phone. when i try to select the photos and delete them, the trash symbol is greyed out. any suggestions or am I just stuck wtith these photos on the iphone 5?

Syncing with iTunes is completely separate from and not related to importing photos and videos from your iPhone's camera roll with your computer.
Have you imported photos from the Camera Roll previously with your computer?
What are you using for the import with your computer?
When I import with my Mac, I'm provided an option to delete the just imported photos and videos from the iPhone's camera roll after the import process is complete. If I choose no, with the next import I'm alerted about the photos/videos being previously imported by my computer - do I want to re-import and replace what was previously imported, or ignore the previously imported content and only import the new content that has not been imported.

This is the iTunes for Windows forum...
    You should be able to:
Backup the device to the new windows installation
Transfer your purchases into a newly authorized library
Recover any other media using third party tools as suggested in this post from forum regular Zevoneer
Restore the device from the backup
This process should switch the association of the device to the new library, preserving the data and settings in your apps.
May also be prudent to attempt a backup to iCloud directly from the device before you start... Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > iCloud Backup > On. It won't save any media but it would preserve the general account settings and documents in case anything goes wrong while you are trying to extract your other data.
When you get it all fixed, make a backup! (Windows tip). For a Mac use Time Machine or Carbon Copy Cloner.

my computer crashed and I no longer have the itunes library. i get an error msg that my iphone 3g is synced to another library - how can I get the info from the phone to the itunes library without losing everything? How do I delete old audiobooks from my iphone?

You can transfer itunes purchases:  File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
The iphone is not a storage/backup device.  The sync is one way - computer to iphone.  The exception is itunes purchases.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.  Use your backup copy to put everything back.
