I now have 2 .mac accounts since I upgraded Mobile Me on iPhone 3G.
This one has me stumped. Ever since I upgraded the new Mobile Me last month, I was blessed with a .mac account and a .me account on my mail accounts in my iPhone 3G. Even though (and everyone knows) they are the same account. So instead of just receiveng one email, I get 2, 1 in the .mac account and one in the .me account. My inbox on the application icon would say I have 2 emails, but if I deleted one of them, both would go away.
If I was in my "inbox" of one account and the "inbox" at the top of the screen said I had received another e-mail ( i.e. Inbox (1) ), I would have to back out of my inbox and go back in for the new mail message to appear.
Last week I restored my phone, and now instead of a .mac account and a .me account on my mailbox accounts page, I now have 2 seperate .mac accounts to choose from. I cannot even manage one account over the other because I would go to the settings icon to manage my mail, and only one .mac account would appear.
It works and all, but it is super annoying.
Never Mind got it... I did find the answer after a bit more searching Thanks to anyone who read the message...

I went to Notes. Showed all notes. Three notes are duplicated, one on iCloud and one on Icloud. I deleted one of the notes and checked to see if the other still existed. It did. I deleted the other two notes. I check all notes and found that the three notes were deleted on both accounts. The only notes on this device are under On My iPad.
I went into system settings and tried to delete the Icloud account. The warning comes up: This will delete all IMAP notes on your device. Will this also delete the notes in On My iPad? -

I have used .Mac since it was first offered free with...I think it was with OS8.5
I now pay for it and find it a great way to share photos etc with others. I also back up important stuff to the account. The BIG advantage for me is that I have been able to keep the same email address for a LONG time...even though I've switched ISP's numerous times. The @mac.com address is worth the $99 a year for me. -
I have chosen to fil migrate from old ibook to new MacBook Pro using Time Machine after establishing admin account. I now have two admin. accounts and wish to delete the later one and transfer files manually. I am worried I will loose both accounts. ??
Use the Office for Mac and ignore using Parallels for that. If you have PC only apps you have to run that are MS Windows only then consider Parallels. Just transfer your main PC, using Migration Assistant. If you don't know how then simply read over Pondini's article called Lion or Mountain Lion Setup Assistant tips and look for the section on migrating from a PC. Millions have done what you are about to, it's far from leading edge these days, if you go to an Apple Store to purchase they will offer this as a service, something you might be interested in.

Can you open a window in finder and get to applications and then to utilities? Is MAIL in there?
And your "office email account"-- do you mean physical office, like place of work and you want that account in your mac mail on your computer? ~OR~ do you mean, microsoft office,mail account?

iTunes and iCloud and different accounts, you will need to delete both accounts from your device before adding the new details in their place.
For iCloud go to settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit the delete button. You can then sign back in using your correct details. For iTunes go to settings >store, tap your account ID and then sign out, you can then sign back in using your correct Apple ID. -

You have to add them to iTunes. To do it, if you have your songs in an external drive or in the internal disk, open iTunes, go to File menu (on the menu bar) > Add to Library, and search the songs. Another way is to drag the songs to your iTunes window -

Why can't we use iTunes gift cards with family sharing? After Christmas, we now have lots of account credit we can't use. Very frustrating. There is no option found for using account credit.
I just logged out of my daughter's account and back in, and now it works. Deducted from gift card account balance. So I hope this is resolved.

Had pse 8 on a Windows 7 PC with a catalog backup on an external drive. Now have a Mac with OS Mavericks. If install pse 12 or Lightroom on the Mac will I be able to use the old catalog backup or must I start from scratch.
If you made a full catalog backup using the organizer's backup command, and you did it to a removable drive, yes, you can restore it to the mac. A backup made on discs will not work, though.

I purchased Lr3 (disc) and never installed. I now have a Mac laptop, no disc drive. Can I install it just using the serial #? If so how?

Note that LR3 was designed for OSX 10.5 or 10.6. It will run on 10.9 (Mavericks) but there may be some appearance differences to the sliders. But why not give the download a try. Otherwise you may be best to upgrade to LR5 or wait for LR6.

Serial numbers for older versions do not work across platforms.
At one time, when the product was current, you could get Adobe to switch you to the other platform, but I don't know whether Adobe will do that for old versions. I do know it's not going to work if you try to use your Windows license for a Mac installation.

No. You do need an Apple ID, which is the same thing you'd set up to buy content on iTunes or stuff from the Apple store online. This doesn't cost you extra, e.g. $99 for a .Mac account, but you do need to set it up with a credit card.

i can' t believe it but after 3 hours of reading everything i could find on this subject i discovered the answer on accident: IT'S THE CLOCK!!!!! I know that it sounds crazy but go to settings and go to date and time and set it to the automatic date and time, even if it's the wrong time. after i did that, everything worked perfectly! aldiko accepted my adobe id and imported my purchased book happily. i hope it is that easy for everyone, best of luck.
