I open Mail, and a new message screen comes up. I cannot get rid of it, and I cannot get to the mail in my mailbox???
When I try to open my mail (not IMail) a new message screen comes up on my iPad (version 8.1.3 (12B466), and I cannot cancel it; it prevents me from getting to the mail in that mailbox.
Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.

"send", "attach" boxes disappeared from new message screen.
My "New Message" screen no longer displays boxes to send, attach file, etc. I don't know what I did to cause it, and can't find out how to restore them. I can still use these functions from the menu bar, but the boxes were very handy and I'd like to have them back.
I found the problem. To see the "send", "attach" and other icons, click view>show toolbar.

MobileMe mail just syncing NEW messages?
As I read and delete email on my computer, I would expect the iPhone Mail.app new message notification icon to update within a few seconds with push enabled. However, the Mail message icon doesn't seem to update at all. I physically need to activate the Mail.app on the iPhone and drill down into my mail account to have the mail messages finally synchronize. I am sure that I have all of the Push and auto-sync features turned ON.
I would have expected the Push mail feature to work a bit better/faster than this. Any ideas?Talk to your IT department.

As I downloaded new software upgrade in my iPod nano 7 th gen and also new iTunes upgrade then all data on my iPod got erased and now when I am trying to sync it again then sync button is disabled on the windows screen . Kindly help

They don't have the music on their computer so they cannot transfer the iTunes folder, from the computer to their iPod and then to the new computer. And if they try to enable disk use on the iPod it will erase all the music that is on it. The method you cited is moving the files in a data format using the iPod as a flash drive. It doesn't work if they are in music format. That is why I suggested Yamipod. -
After upgrading to Snow Leopard, Mail will not let me archive any mail. All archived messages re-appear in my inbox (I have tried archiving and placing in the trash bin). How do i regain control of my inbox?
The main differences that can cause a problem are scripting additions (64-bit vs 32-bit and security reasons) and the usage of dates (it is not as forgiving). AppleScript itself is basically the same, so if empty paragraphs are what caused your problems the update would have just been a coincidence.

I have been receiving messages from this sender fine and then all of a sudden for some reason there was a do not enter sign beside her name. I didn't know how or why it got there, some button got bumped or the mouse, and I didn't know how to take it off so I just left it. Since then, thunderbird has been reopened and all messages that I had received have disappeared and no new messages from this sender appear even though I know she has sent them to me. I have checked into filters and I have none set so it is not that. I can't figure out how the do not enter sign got beside the contact, but I'm sure it's the reason for my problems and I don't know how to fix it. Thanks

Can't get rid of contacts and messages
Hi there,
I'm having trouble getting rid of contacts. There are certain people I'm desperate to get off my phone, and even when I delete their contact, their name and number still come up as an option in the recipient field when sending a text message. The type of number comes up as 'other'. I know some people have mentioned that these may be recently used contacts, but even if I don't use them for months, they still come up. I don't have any iCloud storage turned on, and I checked other devices (MacBook, iPad, etc.) and these contacts aren't on anything. Also, I've deleted threads of text messages from these contacts also, and when I search a word in my phone, their messages still come up. When I click on them, I'm just taken to the messages main screen.
Does anyone know why this is happening? And how I could get rid of all this?
Thank you in advance!There is no option to delete the cache. It will be overwritten as time goes by. If you are impatient, Restore as new then sync back content manually.

Hi I have a new mac book pro. I am swopping over from an imac. An authorize this computer message has come up for an old itunes account. I have no idea what the password is. Is there a way to find out or transfer to my new account?
Let me see if I've gotten this right! You want to remove an account from BOTH machines? Do this for your new machine first, then for the other.
Click the Apple logo on the top left of the screen, System Preferences, Users and Groups (under Systems), unlock the lock in the window if its locked (you need to know the password), select the user that you wish to remove, and click the - sign next to the + sign for Login options. A window will pop up with some options. Select Delete this user and securely, and click 'Delete user'.
After this, do an update from the App Store.
Thats all there is to it.
For the other machine repeat the process except for one thing. Before you delete the user in this case YOU, you will have to give Administrator priviledges to your son bu checking the box 'Allow user to administer this computer'.
Do NOT do anything from Finder ... if you dont know how to fix the consequences of the problems caused.
There is no need to unauthorize your iTunes account on your new machine. Do it on the old machine though. -
I was searching the internet on safari and a pop up appeared advising I had won an iphone !!! I cannot get rid of it and now cannot use Safari, please help, oh I am new to a mac so simple is best !!

Click Go
Move these files from the Safari folder to the Trash.

Quit then relaunch Safari.

I can no longer get "Tools" or "Options" at the top of my screen. Google and Yahoo toolbars dominate the entire top of the screen. I want to get rid of them and go back to an original screen shot. How?

I have set up mail but it has 37000 mails to load, obviously very old stuff but how do I get rid without loading and deleting, take days?
Go under settings, mail, contacts and calendars and then choose only to sync back 50 or 100 or 1000 mails. Chances are you don't really need the old ones on your device and it'll save room (I have mine set to 50)
