I ordered macbook pro online - question if you ordered yours online!
Hey there I had to order my macbook pro online, the 15" 2.2Ghz because neither of the apple stores in my area had them in stock.
I ordered it yesterday at 5pm, and on my online order status is says it won't ship until September 8-11th. Is it really going to take that long for them to ship it out? Those of you who ordered it online, did they take that long to ship it out? I paid of the speedy delivery, but it's not too speedy if it takes two and a half weeks just to **** out.

I ordered mine about a month ago at a retail store and still no idea when it's supposed to ship… I hear there are only two assembly lines in Ireland for all European orders, since everyone in Europe suddenly wants a Mac it takes some time to actually get one, good for Apple bad for me . It even takes a lot longer to get BTO's (Built To Order), I ordered 4GB of Ram and a 7200RPM disk in the top end 15"MBP and have been told it could take another month from now before mine actualy ships. I know this might be concidered as a rumour and this is inappropriate in AD. But just wondering if other people ordering BTO's are waiting this long? I'm leaving for a production abroad in about two weeks from now and was kinda hoping to take it with me, but it seems I might have to start thinking of building flightcases for my G5 and LCD-screens just in case…

Can't load App Store on my macBook Pro. Error is; You cannont open the application "App Store" because it is not supported on this system. How can I upgrade App Store or download new version?
Problem now resolved as I upgraded to Snow Leopard 10.6. Seems App Store doesn't like anything previous to 10.6.

That is determined by what type of disk that it is. It may be a disk that only allows you to install Windows on your Dell computer and would not allow Windows to be installed on a Boot Camp partitition or as a virtual machine in an app such as VirtualBox on your Mac. If that is the case, you would need to purchase a retail Windows install disk. -

Thanks!What Carolyn says is correct. You can, however, share an Internet connection with your iPhone wirelessly by turning in Internet sharing (found in System Preferences > Sharing.) If your MacBook Pro is already using a wireless connection, you can just connect to the same wireless network it is using.

Did the message say what was corrupt. It is not clear from your description of "...it was corrupt" what "it" is. Sounds like the download of Lion was corrupt. Download it again. Downloaded files sometimes get corrupted due to network connection glitches or interruptions.

Refurbished Macbook Pro Hypthetical Question on Price *HELP!
I am looking into buying the refurbished macbook pro 13" 4gb memory with Lion OSX that goes for $957.00. However, would it be wise for me to wait another month (hypothetically if a new Macbook pro came out) do you think the price of the refurbished machines would lower again?

Apple has not announced any new machines coming out. If and when it happens, there may or may not be a price change on refurbs. That's pretty much the best answer you'll get here.
