I own the original (color photometer) EYE1 PHOTO. I use Windows 7; where do I put the printer profile?

Where do I put the (original-color photometer) EYE1 printer profile in Windows 7?

You could try to put it here:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Color\Profiles
Copying the color folder from your laptop? I don't know - it might work, but I would create a restore point beforehand,
I'm no expert on Windows, so hopefully somebody more knowledgeable might be able to help you.

  • This printer is referenced by the printer profile option.

    Hello,
I am trying to delete a printer in the Printers screen, and getting this message:
"This printer is referenced by the printer profile option. You cannot delete a printer that is referenced."
I ran the first select statement to identify the users with this printer in their profiles, and cleared the printer from their profiles.
I ran the second select statement to identify any scheduled jobs going to this printer, and cancelled and rescheduled the jobs to another printer.
I then did some research, and found the third select statment to find the request sets, and moved them to another printer.
I am still getting this profile error. Where else can there exist a profile that is preventing the printer from deleting?

  • Book Module Lightroom 4 -- can I use a color picker to pick a color from a photo to use as the backg

I am trying to match a background color for a page in a Blurb book using the Lightroom 4 Book Module.  Is there any way I can use the color picker to pick a color from the photo to use as the color for the background and as the type color?  I see the color box for these situations, but the color picker only seems to work with the color array that pops up and doesn't go to the photo.  Any suggestions?  Am I overlooking something very obvious?

    It works for me.
The usual Lightroom way: click the eyedropper onto the color palette first, then hold and drag to your photo to sample color.

  • Where are the printer profiles in Mt. Lion 10.8.5? I want to install paper manufacturer's profiles.

I want to install paper manufacturer's profiles. All of my existing profiles were carried over when I upgraded to 10.8 but i do not find anything like the previous Color Sync folder. Where do I put the new profiles? And why can't Spotlight find the existing ones? BTW, I can't find them on my iMac running 10.7.5 either.

    Where are the rest?
Depends. For Epson printers, they're in the /Library/Printers/EPSON/ folder, and that itself varies. For the Stylus Pro 4900, they're in that folder, and then another couple of subfolders deep in InjetPrinter2/ICCProfiles. Sometimes they're tucked away in a .plugin or .framework file within the EPSON folder, or one of its subfolders. In short, they're not always easy to find. At least not with Spotlight.
To make your search way easier, download the free EasyFind. Turn on the check boxes to look within Package contents, and Invisible Files & Folders. There's nothing on the drive that can hide from you. Then do a search for .icc .
But unless your objective is to remove a long list of profiles you'll never use, there's no need to find these other obscure locations OS X lists profiles from. Just put the ones you want to use in either the /Library/ColorSync/Profiles/ folder (if you want all users of that Mac to have access to the profiles), or the ~/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/ folder (the tilde means your user account). Only you will have access to the profiles if placed there.

  • Photo Mail using windows live mail?

I have been using photoshop elements8 classroom in a book and have run into an area that I can't seem to accomplish.  I am trying to send a pic using photo mail and getting a message elements organizer could not finish creating my e-mail message.  I also tried using the alternate adobe e-mail service and get a responce that there is no e-mail program associated to perform the requested action.  I am using window's 7 and windows live mail.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanking you all in advance for your time and help.

  • My Library folder on my User (Home) is missing I know it is somewhere as the printer profiles in it are present when i go to an application. I just updated to Lion. where can I find the folder?

I just updated to Lion. I cannot find my Library Folder in my User folder. I know the information is there as I can see printer profiles stored in there in an application, but I cannot find the folder. Could it have been moved during upgrade?

It is not missing, it is now hidden.  In Finder option-click Go in the menubar and it will appear under Home.

  • TS4180 Issues correcting photo orientation using Windows Photo Gallery

Photos downloaded from iPhone 4 to PC running Windows 7 can't be saved after editing (ie. rotation).  Message:  "This photo can't be saved because of a problem with the photo's file properties."  When I close that dialog box, another comes up with the message giving the error code: 0x80070057 saying that the photo can't be saved.  Someone suggested opening the photo in Paint and saving it as a jpeg file, but my photos are already in jpeg format.  Any help would be appreciated!  Thanks...

As long as you've backed up your photos, what you use is really a matter of personal preference. To avoid duplicates, pick one program. Getting rid of duplicates that you already have is probably going to mean going through the photos one by one.
For problems with Windows Software, you're probably better off posting on a Windows forum.
    Best of luck.

  • PS6; print; PS print settings; color management; printer profile: how to get paper profile to "stick" for multiple prints of same paper type, ie Matte. Mine reverts to Luster as the default.

    see question

    Hola Gustavo,
your task is for me not quite clear. I can see two scenarios:
    a) Calibrate the press for  ISONewspaper26v4 ink (your standard process) on salmon colored paper.
Print the target by press on this paper, measure and build the profile. There is no problem so far.
But preparing CMYK data with this profile for printing by press requires a very complicated gamut
compression, becauses the gamut of the actual process on salmon paper is small and excentric
in Lab. As mentioned in my previous post.
    b) Simulate the appearance of press prints on salmon paper, disregarding the salmon color by profiles.
This shall be done in your case by a toner printer.
The toner printer has to be calibrated with white paper. As a result one gets a valid Printer Profile.
The proof printing happens for a CMYK file, for instance a PDF/X-1a file so:
        Input profile: ISONewspaper26v4
        Output profile: Printer Profile
        Printed on salmon paper!
The printer profiling converts the toner printer into a more or less reliable proof printer. This has nothing
        to do with colored paper.

  • Is the win 8 driver for the printer photosmart D7360 rgb or CMYK?

    Hi,
I will be using Lightroom 4.2 (under win 8 64) and will have the monitor and  printer  (HP Photosmart D7360) calibrated by a colormunki photo.
When the printer profile is generated by colormunki, depening on the  actual printer driver, they will be either a RGB or CMYK profile.  Apparently, LR 4.2 will only show printer profiles to use if the driver of the printer is RGB .  So if it was CMYK, I wouldn't be able to use the profile for printing in LR.
Can anyone please tell me if this printer driver is RGB or CMYK?!
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
    Regards,
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

The driver expects RGB data.  The actual color inks in the printer use CMYK but that is handled by the driver, the applications need to send RGB data to the driver.

  • Printer Profiles under Color Management

We are running a copy of CS5 where the printer profiles are not showing up. We are using illustrator to send jobs to a Universal Laser system. The laser system uses the working RGB color space, but that option is not showing up under Color Management of the Print Dialog box in Illustrator. The only options we have available are the Dot Gain and b/w settings.
The Laser behaves like a normal usb printer. it came with a driver, but the driver does not include any ICC profiles since it would simply use the sRGB IEC61966-2.1.
How do i get the sRGB IEC61966-2.1 option to show up in the color management of the print dialog box in illustrator CS5?

Thank you for the reply. But this does not explain how to fix my issue.
The pull down menu under color management of the print dialog box should have a long list of availble printer profiles. Instead i'm only getting assorted Dot Gain settings, Gray Gamma, B & W and sGray ( refer to image in original post). There should be a sRGB or working RGB option associate with the selected device along with a list of other profiles.
This is preventing illustrator from sending the correct color information to my laser cutter. The cutter is dependent upon the color information in the art file. Instead, illustrator is sending b & w color data becuase of the profile selected under color management.

  • Print Setup says use Adobe Color Printer with No Color Management even though I have my .icc printer profile selected

I have a ColorMunki Photo and a Canon Pixma Pro 100 that I have been using on my Mac with Photoshop CC.  No issues.  I must have changed something because now when I go to print, a popup says "Please use Adobe Color Printer Utility if you need to print with No Color Management".  It is telling me that my I am trying to print without color management and this method of printing isn't supported.  So, I reprofiled my monitor and printer and have brand new .icc profiles and it is still doing the same thing.  Can someone tell me the exact things that need to be changed in Photoshop in order to use my .icc profile for color managed printing?  I have no idea what I have changed.  If I change to a different profile that message doesn't pop up.  My document profile says that it is the same as the printer profile I am trying to print from.  Does the document profile need to be set to my monitor .icc profile or the printer .icc profile that I want to print from?  Any help would be appreciated!  It is driving me crazy!

  • ICM paper profile not showing up when I go to the print modual and select icm check the box show all

The icm profile that I installed shows up in the printer profile. I select it then enter the print button at the bottem select my printer open the propertied and when I select icm in the mode window advanced check the box show all profiles, The only profiles that show are the one that came with the printer not the one that I installed and did show back in the printer profile.
    What am I doing wrong?

To see all profiles in Lr you have to click on the two small triangles besides the profile selected in the Print Job panel.
    See Screen shot:
Then a list of profiles will appear. If you don't see the profile you are looking for in this list, click on <Other> at the bottom of the list. This will take you to the folder where al profiles are installed, and if your profile is in this folder you should see it there.
If you still don't see it then it's a CMYK profile. CMYK profiles show up in Photoshop but not in Lr.
BTW: If you want Lr to manage colors you have to select a profile where it says <Profile> in the Print Job panel and not by clicking on <Print>.

  • Where will the anti virus subscription I paid be install? the printer belongs 2 my sister in law.

my name is Sylvia {Removed per Forum Guidelines} and just paid the anti virus subscription today.the prin ter belongs to my sister in law grace. where will the anti virus be installed? you might install in my sister in law computer because she owns the printer. I just want to be sure that the anti virus will be installed in my laptop. thank you.

    Hi Sylvia,
Like AWBrown mentioned, it depends on whether you purchased a boxed retail version or a digitally-delivered subscription. If you purchased a boxed retail version, then you should be able to install the program on the device of your choice at any time using the included CD/DVD. If you purchased a digitally-delivered subscription (or received one with the purchase of a new computer or tablet), then you'll need to download and install it through BestBuy.com's Digital Library.

Depending on the program, you may also be referred to the publisher's official support site to finish setup and activate your subscription.

  • How do I create a new document that is 8" X 8" and with Print as the document profile?

Page 47 in Chris Botello's Adobe Illustrator CS6 of Cengage's Illustrated Series asks this for the Independent Challenge for Unit B.  "Create a new document that is 8" X 8" and with Print as the document profile." As long as its CMYK it's "Print". Right?  If I go and change the size the profile goes custom. I'm a Graphic Design Student at a local university. If there are others who have used this book, Please giver me a holler. I wonder what they want there? You think they want to change the "Print" profile? That hasn't been covered. I'm on CC not CS6 but haven't found differences in that area. Probably just not written very clearly.
    Thanks,
    Gary

    Thanks Monika,
I hate it when I fixate on what should be easy. It's probably just a poorly worded task. I don't think it will blow my GPA.
