I-Pad battery still showing 100%

I charged my I-Pad battery for the first time 2 weeks ago. I used the A/C charger and once I saw that it was fully charged I disconnected the A/C source.
Now, I've been using my I-Pad for nearly 2 weeks now and it's still showing a battery charge of 100%.
I did disable the WIFI and Bluetooth options and turned down the brightness settings.
I've only been using it to synch songs from my I-Tunes and I do that through the USB port on my desktop. However, the I-Pad always says "Not Charging".
Does this seem right that my I-Pad is still showing a battery charge of 100% after about 2 weeks use?
Thanks a bunch.

The USB port on your computer may not be supplying enough power to charge. Read the yellow highlighted battery charging tips at the top of the forum.
Try using the device for a while and see if the battery drops.

Do you have wifi syncing turned on? Is your itunes always open?
There is a glitch with the iPad where, as long and anytime iTunes is open, it'll sync...like once an hour or some such rate.
Originally the wifi syncing was only supposed to take place if the device is plugged into power, but that's not the case. If I have my iTunes open my iPad will try to sync almost continuously.
So check your wifi sync and iTunes settings (my iTunes used to be set to open automatically when the device is connected, I had to change it to only open when I do it manually because in the course of an evening's surfing my iPad opened my iTunes and started to sync three different times until I turned it off)
If you have iCloud syncing enabled that may also be contributing to your battery issues. I don't sync over iCloud, I tried it but after it ate all my contacts, I stopped using it. However, if the same glitch is present, the device trying to continually sync even when not plugged into power, that could also be part of your drain.

Is it possible that you have a bad bunch of batteries?
My Magic Mouse on one computer and the Mighty Mouse on another use batteries I bought through the Apple store (with a charger). They last a long time.

Another possiblity is that the mouse is defective. Since the keyboard connects, it has to be the mouse or the batteries.

  • Magic Mouse battery always shows 100%

Since upgrading to Mac 10.6.7, The preference window for the magic mouse always shows 100%.
After installing MagicPrefs free drivers, (because Apples' sensitivity settings suck), MagicPrefs show
a more accurate level of 84%. What gives here Apple? Are you letting the competition beat you at
your own game? I'm getting disgusted with Apple's lack of support, fixes and updates to reported problems.

From my troubleshooting, it seems it's specific to the individual mouse.
I have two Magic Mice on my desk, one for a MB Pro and one for an iMac.  The "trouble" Magic Mouse, which always shows "100%" AND frequently disconnects, did so in 10.6 and 10.7. on my MB Pro.
I thought maybe the Bluetooth module on my MB Pro was bunk--so I swapped mice and took the "stable" Magic Mouse on the iMac and paired it with my MB Pro--no problems.  The "trouble" Magic Mouse, formerly on the MB Pro, now on the iMac--exhibits the exact same problems--it seems to be the specific mouse, not the OS or Bluetooth modules on either host computer.  Hope this helps.  I guess I'll be making a trip to the Apple Store to see if they can fix/replace my "trouble" Magic Mouse...

  • My Ipad has been unplugged for 10 hours, but it is still showing 100% battery power, I did update to iOS 6 on release day.

Is this just a bug in the new iOS for iPad 2? Cause I also updated my iPhone 4S to iOS and it shows proper battery levels. Any one else having this issue? If so is it a known issue?

Try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. The screen will go blank and then power ON again in the normal way.] It is app and data safe!
Also, just use your iPad until it drains of power and then recharge it. It might sort out the glitch!

  • Hi, I have  a recurring problem with my ipad3. The battery is showing 100% however my ipad constantly shuts itself down and comes back on. When its on it freezes and I cant turn it on or off, or runs really slow. Only had it 2 months,  is this usual ?

Hi, I have had my ipad3 for only 2months and have now had this problem 3 times. The battery is fully charged to 100% and when I try to switch it on the slider screen appears as normal, it only stays on for a short time then a small circle appears and the ipad switches off.
Eventually it switches itself back on, then continues to switch off and on again.
When the screen opens it runs very slowly and I cant open anything before it closes down again.
Today this has been happening constantly, and have not able to use it as I could not get it to stay on for any length of time, very frustrating!
I plugged it back in to recharge again and was able to eventually press both buttons to reset it again. It now seems to be working ok again.
Can anyone tell me if thay have had the same problems, or is this a faulty ipad?
Its the first Apple product Ive owned so dont know if this is a common problem or not, be grateful for any info on this, thanks

Not normal. Take it to an Apple Store for evaluation.

  • Problem Macbook Retina (13"): Battery shows 100%

I have a Macbook Pro Retina 13" (10.8.5), I've bought it about a year ago. Yesterday I was using my Macbook (Word, Safari), without a charger, and everything was pretty normal. When I started my Macbook this morning, I noticed something strange.
The battery sign shows 100% all the time (right corner, between Bluetooth sign and Airport sign), because I worked yesterday evening with it, it was supposed to be 67% or so. While the sign shows 100%, my hours are lowing down. Also the battery won't charge: The charger's colour is yellow instead of amber en it says "The battery is fully recharged.".
In "About My Mac" it says my battery isn't fully loaded, if I use the charger it says it's loading the battery. The only problem seems to be that the battery shows 100%, it blocks the computer to charge my battery or to see the correct 'life hours' of my battery.
I updated, restarted,  shut down, ... But nothing helped. I also did a little search on the internet, but I didn't find a decent solution (I tried different things).
I don't know what the problem could be, less than 12 hours ago everything was working fine.
    Can anyone help?
Hopefully the problem is clear, I speak Dutch so I had to translate the problem. I don't know if all the words are correct.

  • IPhone 4s battery stuck at 100 percent. How do I get it back to normal?

iPhone 4s battery stuck at 100 percent. How do I get it back to normal?
Ever since the update, I am having issues with the battery. Phone shuts down while it still shows 100 percent battery life. Normally not a big deal because I don't use it all the time but lately an issue when I'm working in Manhattan and it shuts down while in the middle of conversation or emailing.
I can't go around charging it every hour wondering what my battery life really is.
    Please help!

My phone now is not working at all. It only works for a few minutes while it is plugged into the wall and then it shuts down and pops right back up showing it has 75% battery. It has been doing this since yesteday afternoon.
I tried the reset and it is still acting up. Dreading having to take this to the Apple store since it is past the initial 90 days and I will probably get charged for it. :( Dont want to shell out money for a new one since I just got this one in October.
    Thanks for your help.

  • HP Spectre x360 battery stuck at 100%

I just got the HP Spectre x360 from the MS Store (signature edition). In addition to the noisy tapping on the touchpad, here's the problem I noticed right away: The Windows battery indicator is stuck at 100% for about an hour (after disconnecting from AC), and then immediately drops to something like 92%. From then on, the discharge appears to be normal. I tried following the advice here: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Other-Notebook-PC-Questions/Battery-Indicator-shows-100-charged-at-all-times/td-p/1303467 -- did not help. Also, tried calibrating the battery via the diagnostics tool, but it passes the check and the option to calibrate is never offered. If needed, I can attach the battery info displayed after the check. Latest BIOS from HP. Note that this is a 2-day old purchase, which can be returned/exchanged. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!

    Hi ,
Welcome to the HP Forums! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More. Thank you posting. I have read your post, and I understand that the battery indicator does not decrease until the volume drops to 92%. I am happy to assist you with that. Please empty and fully charge your battery several times. And if the problem still persists, please manually calibrate the battery. • CCMSPING rz20 availability shows 100% - turns grey - satellite system down

    Hello All
I have an issue in CCMSPING RZ20 availability reporting.
Even if the satellite system is down completely (3 app server + 1 CIDB), its availability reporting in RZ20 for CI instance shows 100% - turns grey after soem time still showing 100% - Value is obsolete after some time still showing 100% in grey.
My solution manager is on EHP1 SP04 (SPS20) recently upgraded from EHP1 SP02 (SPS18). Prior to upgrade it was working fine all the availability reporting used to show 0% when system is down. however after upgrade this weired behaviour started.
As it now showing 100% always no matter system is down completely, we are not able to trigger alerts in this case.
If anybody faced the same issue and found the solution to it, kindly assist.
    Thanks

  • Still showing battery but dies

K my ipod mini's battery is still showing that it has a little left, (it's not empty but it shows it is low) however the screen with the no battery life remains message appears then it dies and shows the battery logo, even tho there was still some battery left. what's going on?

This site has how-to info on resetting your iPod.
Here's the skinny on recalibration. People who know Lithium-ion batteries (your iPod has one) say you should not let your battery drain completely on a regular basis because doing so will shorten the life of the battery.
On the other hand lots of devices, like iPod have a "fuel gauge" that "learns" what full and empty are via discharge/recharge cycles. Meaning if you charge the battery to 100% and use your iPod until it is down to say, 50% and then recharge repeatedly, the fuel guage software will assume 50% = empty. This is important if the device is geared to shutdown before a complete discharge (in order to save your settings, or whatever)
So to overcome this short memory problem, the battery geeks say you should discharge the battery (as fully as possible) once every 30 cycles - roughly once a month. Your problem now is the iPod thinks almost full is empty. I'm guessing a reset or repeated resets may fix that problem.

  • HT4528 About 30 minutes ago, my iphone 4 screen just went white. It still shows the time, signal and battery at the top, but everything else is white. I can't receive calls/text messages. My phone will not lock or turnoff,  but it will charge. HELP!!

I don't know what to do. My iPhone 4 just all of a sudden had a blank white screen. It still shows the bar at the top with the signal, time, and battery life. But the rest of the screen is white. If I touch the screen it acts like it's selecting something and gives me the choice to "Copy". It will still charge when I plug it up, but i cannot turn it off or lock the screen. I tried leaving it alone for awhile to see if it will lock on its own, like it normally would, and all it does is dim the screen. I guess im going to try to just let it die, and then see what happens, but if anyone else has any suggestions (other than taking it in to be looked at or getting a new phone) I would greatly appreciate it!

Any number of things could have caused the phone to do this. If after the reset you are experiencing additional problems, the next step in the troubleshooting process is a restore from a backup. Make sure you have one before you start the restore process. If that does not improve things, then you may have to restore as a new device. Remember, restoring as a new device will delete all data off the phone. Make sure all of your pictures are imported to the computer and all other data is synced to supported applications on the computer before restoring as new. See this support document about backups http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4946, and this about restoring the phone. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414

    Hi DaVince Vince,
I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with your iPhone. I also apologize, I'm a bit unclear what issues you were having that led up to the attempted Erase All, and/or exactly what behavior you are seeing now (restarting, not responding at all, etc). If you are seeing an Apple Logo screen and your iPhone does not appear to be starting correctly, you may find the following articles helpful:
If your iOS device restarts, displays the Apple logo, or powers off while you're using it - Apple Support
