I Pad mail locked up

I have a new Ipad 2. Useing Hotmail I saved a message to drafts. I later reopened it to finish editing. Now I cannot send it or cancel it. it remaines open in mail and I cannot access accounts. How do I delete the message and access my accounts.

There should be the small garbage bin on the top right hand side for you to delete the message. Also if you tap on the name of the person you are emailing it should show you how to send. I must admit the it is a bit tricky as it take a while for it to work for me.

When I try to send a Safari web page via Mail, Mail locks up!

No matter how I try to Email a Safari web page (using the share arrow icon or the mail icon or the File menu), Mail locks up. Then I have to Force Quit Mail and send the report to Apple. Is anyone have a problem with the mail locking up in OS5?

My iphone is have the Mail lock up. I can kill it and then everything works again. Anyone else having this problem?

Try copying and pasting the script of the report from the old verison into a new report in 11.1.2 instead of importing the report

New I pad cover lock not working

I bought the new I pad with Targus leather cover. Till yesterday I didn't notice I pad cover lock feature.but my friend tried I pad cover lock option in settings.my I pad was able to lock without smart cover till today. Suddenly it's not working anymore.i have set the cover lock option in settings on.what happened? Is it necessary to have smart cover to use this feature?

Lol now it works.........actually the cover that I have is 360 degree rotating cover.that screen cover flap was supposed to be on left ,but I kept it on right.the I pad magnet was not lining up with the covers magnet. Breaking news: Targus versavu cover is compatible with the I pads cover lock feature.

Didn't help. Wound up talking to A Support & deleting the cache in my Library Mail file then restarting. Thanks anyway.

Yahoo mobile mail locked up, html error, java script error

Hi
Does anyone know how to fix Yahoo mail lock ups? When I sign in all I get is the downloading wheel but nothing happens. When I used the debug console I get 9 error messages referring to "HTML Warning on Line 1" JavaScript Log on Line 1" and JavaScript Errors on Line 452, 455, 456, 398".
I've tried restarting my iPod Touch, just updated the operating system and reloaded everything but I still get the same lock out.
Any other ideas?????

Apple Mail locks up immediately after I launch, connect to three imap and pop servers and attempt to reply to a message. I force quit, and relaunch, usually successfully. It can happen several times a day!

If none of these show improvement, then we can get a little more creative.

I cannot explain why we have had problems, but it is certainly since the upgrade. I also have been syncing with MobileMe, which we know has been plagued with problems. I have fixed my issue and here is how I did it:
1. Turn off MobileMe in the control panel
2. Open Mail, and as SOON as you get your main window, Cmd-, to open Preferences.
3. Wrestle with the Preferences panes, as sometimes they do not let you switch to your Accounts.
4. Disable ALL of your email accounts, I had 3 active (select an account, select the Advanced tab, and deselect the "Enable this account" button.)
5. You may have to Force Quit a time or two and restart Mail to get each account deactivated.
6. Restart.
7. Open Mail and activate one of your accounts and see if it works.
8. If it works correctly, activate each subsequent account.
That's how I got mine to work; I cannot explain it. I have yet to turn MobileMe back on in the control panel, but my guess is that this step had nothing to do with it. I needed to reactivate accounts under the new update (?).

Mail locks up and does nothing whenever opened. Can anybody advise me on my next best move with what to do ?

Do you mean that you get a pinning color wheel and you're unable to Quit, or something else? How long has this problem been going on, and what did you do just prior to it starting?
Have you tried going to Home/Library/Preferences and removing (not deleting) the com.apple.mail.plist file to your Desktop? Then restart Mail and try setting up your email account(s) again and it should find any existing folders after that.
Post back with details.

Mail locks up when receiving

Mail locks up when I recieve mail in the mornings. I will be going along check emails fine, then all of a sudden I get the spinning beach ball! Then I have to do a force quit and restart mail. When mail comes back up, I just start where I left off and continue with no problems. It does not matter if there are attachments or not! Is there something that I can do?

Rebuilding an IMAP mailbox is safe, so you may try that if you wish. I don't think that's the problem, though.

what to do if mail locks in on Ipad?

Do you by any chance have an AT&T account? I had a serious problem over lunch with not being able to send mail on my iPad 2. I came to the groups to see if anyone else was experiencing the same thing, and your message is in the same time frame.
Mine tries and tries to send a message until I go back to the home page and force the program to quit in the dock. I did manage to send two messages, no rhyme or reason. But the other six or so test messages ended up with the spinning icon.
I'm hoping that AT&T is responsible somehow, but I may need tech help tomorrow.
