It appears that you're tocuhpad is causing some issues. I will attempt to assist you with this.
If this is a new notebook, make sure you've run all Windows updates and completed any updates listed in the HP Support Assistant.
Something may address that issue.
This may also have something that could help you: Using and Troubleshooting the TouchPad or ClickPad (Windows 8).
If you need further assistance could you please provide the Model and Product numbers for your notebook.

Scroll Pad - Not functioning

I have a Blackberry Curve and had purchased it around five months back. All of a sudden, the scroll pad stopped functioning. Initially, the scroll pad would not work and I had to press it around five to six times and it would work. But now it doesnt seem to work at all and all other buttons work. So as a result, I am not able to scroll up and down or select anything. I do not have the receipt of purchase with me.
Please do advise me as to what I could do regarding the same.

Track pad not functioning correctly

My MacBook 5,1 is having issues with the track pad.
Clicking on a folder to open and scrolling are fine. Even a feather like click works, so sensitivity is still functional.
Click and drag and what Apples called secondary click to get drop down menus at different locations are both not working. So highlighting text and secondary/right clicking a misspelled work to get suggestions all don't function.
I have tried different settings in the preferences, without a solution to this.
I tested using a mouse for click and drag and this works, but I would preferred to use the track pad if possible.
IS there a way to remove the preferences for the track pad from the system and then reboot or some similar solution to resolve this?

The situation is unchanged, if anyone has any idea how to resolve this issue with the track pad it would be most welcome.

Keyboard number pad not functioning!

i dont know what exactly i did, i might have pressed a keyboard shortcut i dont know. im reletively new to macs. my number pad doesnt work at all. it's an apple keyboard. its the side of the far right with all the numbers on it. its the new apple g5 keyboard, i got my imac this year so the keyboard is up to date.
its just the standard, not wirless at all. is there a system prefrence that i can change it back?!!!!????!!!???

I had a similar problem where my numerical keypad on my Pro Keyboard seemed to stop working. In fact, when I used the numerical keys over there it would 'lock-up' whatever I was doing and I had to call up the Force Quit panel to shake my application free of the lock. (I didn't actually Force Quit the app, just CTRL-OPTION-COMMAND'ed to call the FQ menu up and then closed the menu. This saved me from shutting the app down completely while "releasing" the numerical keypad.)

TS3274 buttom not function in I-pad

I already reinstall the I-Pad but the still having problem at the both of
buttom for manually adjusted volume of i-pad and the buttom to shut down /swift off buttom for my I-pad.

You said you reinstalled the iPad - do you mean that you restored the iOS software on the iPad?
You said that the power button is not working and the volume adjuster is not working either. The volume adjuster - are you talking about the button on the side of the iPad?
If neither button is working now, you might have a hardware problem - if you did restore the iOS software and that didn't help. You can't fix a hardware problem by restoring the iOS software. You might need to have the iPad evaluated at an Apple Store.

Keyboard+trackpad not functioning at all on HP 2000 Notebook PC! please help!

Tonight I turned on my laptop (HP 2000 Notebook PC) to find that the Keyboard and track pad was not responding, the only thing that worked was the wireless mouse.
I can not find the product number but the name is HP 2000 Notebook PC, the operating system is Windows 8, I can't login to see if there are any error messages, the last thing I remember doing was trying to apply a new cursor image and it told me to restart and when I did I couldnt log back in or type anything at all, I could only use the mouse.
Also the things I have tried to do are: Restart Computer, Take out batter and restart. (I cant do much because I can't type in password)
All help will be greatly appreciated!
UPDATE: I logged in using the On-Screen Keyboard, it seems like a hardware malfunction and not a virus because i cant find anything in my downloaded stuff that wasnt there before. So it is just a hardware malfunction.
UPDATE #2: it says that the driver (for keyboard and touchpad) may be corrupt or missing and it says Code 39 in parenthesis.

"A device attached to the system is not functioning"

I'm hoping that all the smart people here can help with my problem. I help support/develop several custom windows application. One of these applications is written in Delphi and there is currently a problem with a feature a single computer owned by a client.The client's computer does have the latest version of adobe installed.
* The user is able to select a document from a data grid, and click a button to view that document (in this case a pdf).
* The document is saved from a database to the user's disk
* Using a shell command, the application asks windows to open that file.
Normally this works quite well, until recently. If this client tries to view a pdf file in this manor windows returns a system error, error 31, and the message "A device attached to the system is not functioning" is displayed. If I naviage to the location where the file was saved to an attemp to open it via double clicking, adobe reader opens the document right up. The application historically has had no problems with pdf's nor any other doucment type. If I change the file assoication from adobe to note pad, the application does open the file with note pad, but it is not readable. If I change it back to adobe reader, the problem persists. I've tried uninstalling adobe, reinstalling, and using a previous version of adobe. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
FYI, before someone tell's me I should be talking to microsoft, I am also inquiring on the windows side of this through msdn. Since I am not 100% sure if this is a windows or adobe reader issue I would appreciate suggestions on both sides.
Last but not least, incase it is of any help, this is the delphi command used to ask windows to open the file:

Is the computer in question connected to the Internet, and if so, is the Internet connection working correctly?
It is possible that Adobe Reader tries to check for updates when it is launched, then finds a faulty network connection.
Check the Device Manager for non-functioning network devices.
Also try http://fixitcenter.support.microsoft.com/ to find other potential problems on that system.

Spry Menu Issues - Not functioning correctly in Microsoft IE

I have constructed a simple page that I am happy with complete with Spry Menu which again I am happy with. However this spry menu works perfectly in firefox but for some reason on IE my spry menu does not function correctly and goes all over my page!

THE CONFLICT IS BETWEEN YOUR DOCUMENT CSS AND THE SPRY CSS.
It is because the <li> and <a> TAGS have been styled and therefore OVERRIDDEN THE SPRY CSS.
Use CLASS TAGS e.g. <li class="anyclass"> and <a class="anyclass">
and STOP USING THE <a> TAGS.
N.b. you may need to unstyle any <a> or other TAGS that conflict with the SPRY CSS. (However it's best to start over knowing that styling basic tags may affect the SPRY CSS).

Touchpad not functioning correctly

I have an Envy 17,(Windows 7) and the touch pad is not functioning correctly. I have had it do similar things in the past but they seemed to fix themselves after a few minutes, but this time it just keeps messing up. I CAN click on programs to open them but once in a program, I cannot click on anything. I CAN click on links when online, but they always open in a new tab and when I attempt to click on a new tab, the tab completely closes out. Once a program is opened, I cannot close/minimize/maximize it using the touchpad, nor can I access File/Edit/other menu options. I also cannot click in a typing field. (I'm using a different computer to do this post)I can barely move the curser around. It jumps or freezes up. I move it up about an inch and as soon as I take my finger off the touchpad the curser goes back to where it originally was. I've tried restarting the computer but that hasn't worked. I've attempted tried some other things as well, but since I cannot click on anything with the touchpad and can barely move the curser, I am at a loss for what to even try. Everything was working fine this morning. I literally got up from the computer, made breakfast and sat back down and it was all glitched up. No one had touched it... I had not recently downloaded anything nor have I made any updates to the computer. Thank you, Neyephe

Hello there, It sounds like there is a hardware issue with your touchpad, which you need to replace. As stated in the warranty, the touchpad may only be replaced by an Authorized Service Provider. If you cannot find any places that are authorized, you may contact the HP Support Center via phone and arrange a date for your touchpad to be replaced. "ChnCFCFiltCalc" in Crash option not functioning correctly

It appears that the "EndPoints" option for the "ChnCFCFiltCalc" command is not functioning correctly. It does not seem to be reflecting the points to pad the data at the beginning and end of the signal. This is based on the results of filtering done with and without the option activated. Not activating the option appears to reflect the data and you get the results you would expect to see with the option activated. Activating the option give you results you would expect to see without the option activated.
I am using Version 8.0.981
This was functioning correctly in previous versions. Can you tell me when the "EndPoints" option stopped functioning correctly? I assume it was with Version 8.0. Is it correc

The parameter "CFCPREEVENTTYPE" is an enumeration variable with the selection "EndPoints" or "ZeroMagnitude" and not is optional.
Every mathematical function in DIAdem represents their parameters in global variables - eg. "CFCPREEVENTTYPE" as one parameter of the function "ChnCFCFiltCalc".
If you now call a function in a VBScript you have two possibilities
a) call the function with parameters like ChnCFCFiltCalc(X, Y, E, CFCFiltType, 0,"EndPoints")
b) call the function without parameters like ChnCFCFiltCalc
In case b) DIAdem will use the current content of the global parameter variable.
Maybe that this is you problem.

My HPPavilion wireless mouse is not working. Changed batter. Bought new one. Same problems exists Sensor light on mouse does not light even w/ new mouse. Must be another problem. Touch pad is fine. Use Windows 7. Product no. is LW350UA#ABA

Can you please tell me if the mouse works on another computer?
You may also want to try disabling the touchpad and see if the mouse starts responding. You can do this by double tapping in the upper left corner of the touchpad.

It sounds like you are not seeing your Home Shared content from your computer on your iPad. I would use the instructions in the following article to verify the settings for that function are still setup correctly on both the devices:

HT4061 My mail is frozen. I get to it from the Mail icon, but then it will not function. Touching it will not move it at all.

My mail is frozen. I can get to it from the Mail icon, but then the touch pad feature does not function. I cannot move the mail page up or down or from side to side. No messages will open. Help!

Try closing the Mail app via the taskbar and see if it works properly when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Windows 10 scroll does not functioning
