I pad syncing help

Hi,
I recently bought my mother an ipad as a gift, but as we were in a hurry to get it going, I synched it to my itunes on my macbook. She owns a PC and didnt have it at the time to sync with itunes.
She is now travelling back home - far away from my macbook to which the ipad was synced to. We are wondering whether this will cause a problem for her using her ipad later down the line - just for browsing and maybe downloading apps via my itunes store account.
Is it best to do a master re-set on the ipad and sync it to her PC's version of i tunes or would it make no difference to her using the ipad, even if it is synced to my itunes on my mac?

I did the same thing...got my Mom an iPad and have synched it to my MacBook Pro, to my iTunes and have made app purchases from my iTunes account. She does not currently have a computer. Now this works ok for now because I live in the same geographic area at present, but I may be moving to another part of the country soon. I figure when I move I can give her my old Sony laptop to synch to. Synching Is mostly required when you want to back up your iPad to your computer, change what you have on your iPad or to get software updates.
I can set up iTunes on the Sony laptop, get her her own iTunes account and will also copy over apps and music to her computer....then I'll also authorize my iTunes account on her iTunes....when she synchs to the Sony it will get rid of everything that was on it and load the stuff from her iTunes. Theoretically she should be able to use the apps and music I put on there because she is also authorized to my acct. I'm not 100 %sure this will work with apps....I have done it with music before. Can anyone verify this?

Try to remove all Apple related software and then reinstall iTunes Removing iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista

With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:

If I had waited to name and file these until I got home, it would be misery.

The iPad is a great device but it can't do all things. To accomplish all the tasks you mention I feel a laptop is the best tool.

Move the Safari app from the Desktop to the Applications folder.
Restart your Mac.
That's why you see this:
When I try to do the updates my computer says it has ready it goes through like it is downloading them then at the end it says some of the files could not be saved to "/" files.
After your restart your Mac, click the Apple  menu (top left in your screen) then click: Software Update ...

TS1474 i phone i pad touch and not syncing - help

I had to replace my I phone yesterday due to hardware issues, which was fine, I cam home restored all my stuff, but it wouldn't restore my music, I didn't worry as the PC i ahve been using is ver very old and getting really sklow So i decided to change to my laptop. Set up I tunes fine on laptop but I can't transfer my library from my I pod touch, I transfered my purchases but the rest won't transfer. My i phone is also not syncing even if I tell it to it runs through the procedure but doesn't add the music. Any clues? Please

What happens?
Iphone will sync with one computer at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content from the iphone and replace with content form the new computer. Make sure you have copied everything from the old computer to the new one first.

Memo Pad sync?

The screen on my bb curve stopped working so I had to get a replacement phone. Verizon was able to help me sync my contacts from my old phone to my new one but couldn't sync my calendar or Memo Pad. If I download the bb desktop software, will I be able to sync calendar and Memo Pad from my old phone to my new phone? Thanks!

Help with iPad Identifying Phone Numbers in iMessage Send & Receive Settings / iMessage Syncing Help - iOS 6 - iPhone - iPad

With iOS6, iPhone and iPad users will see that their Send & Receive iMessage settings have updated across their devices to be made available at both phone numbers and email addresses. You may have also seen alerts on one or more of your devices advising that another device is now using the same Apple ID/phone number for iMessage.
Being able to be reached on iMessage on both Apple ID and phone numbers across devices means that iMessage can keep the same thread and sync across devices.
Due to having 2 iPhones on different phone numbers running along side my iPad at one time, (whilst I was waiting for my phone number to be moved to a new provider), my iMessage settings on my iPad lost my phone number completely. I thought I would document the steps to recover this for anyone in the same boat.
1. Check that you are signed in with the same iCloud Account on both iPad and iPhone.
2. Turn off iMessage on your iPad from Settings > Messages.
3. On your iPhone, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. You should see your phone number and your iCloud email address in the 'Your can be reached by iMessage at:' list. Make sure both are ticked.
4. At this point, I synced my iPhone with iTunes, then synced my iPad with iTunes.
5. On your iPad, turn iMessage back on - your phone number should now show in the 'You can be reached by iMessage at:' list. Tick the phone number. You should receive an alert on your iPhone.
This should resolve the issue.
With the above set up and with the iOS 6 updates, iMessage should now sync fine across devices however I have still found the most successful way to run iMessage is to always start new conversations from your Apple ID and to start new threads by addressing the first message to an Apple ID from an Apple ID.
To do this, go to Settings > iMessage > Send & Receive and tick your Apple ID in the 'Start new conversations from:' list, then start a new iMessage thread to the recipients Apple ID. This way, the thread will sync across iPad and iPhone. Note that a thread set up this way will not fall back on SMS, so you get a clean iMessage thread. This method also worked/works on iOS 5, as long as you send the first message of a new thread from an iPad (which can only send via Apple ID) to an Apple ID.

ipad has no phone number, you use a same email address for both devices. and set it in Settings>Messages>Send & Receive

Game center sync help

i need help my game center isnt syncing with slide to unlock, jetpack joyride, or fruit ninja apps. those apps all have open feint as a side program in them i think thats the problem. all my gameplay doesnt show up in them. game center works fine i just need help in syncing them back into the games. any help much appreciated

Actuallymi didnt but ther was nothing to save yet. Its just that now, my achievements and rank wont show up in game center. Is it because when i deleted dh4 i chose to remove it from game center? If so, is it possible to sync it with game center again?

Calendar sync help needed

I am not allowed to use Outlook email at my workplace. It seems that I cannot use only the Outlook calendar to sync my Iphone without making it my primary email client. I need to have a desktop calendar of some sort at my work in order to manage my appointments. We are allowed to use Palm desktop or any web based calendar. I am trying to find a solution with 2 way sync between my Iphone and calendar. Can anyone help? I would deeply appreciate it as this has been a substantial problem for me with my Iphone. Thanks

Media sync - help

I have a couple of questions;
1) all of a sudden I cannot sync any music files. the BB software says " Music services failed to load, an unexpected error occurred" Could this have occurred when I took the 6.0 upgrade? How do I fix it?
2) I've read that I can sync my music files from Windows Media Player, but I can't get it to work. What do I need to do? I found this process much easier on my old Palm Treo.

Also, check that you are using only root USB ports...no hubs (sometimes the front-side ports are hubs...use a rear USB port). And make sure to try disabling USB power management in your system configuration (Device Manager).
