I paid for the blackberry internet service, but I still don't have it!

I've had a Blackberry Curve 8520 for almost a year now, I'm on pay as you go with Vodafone. My internet service recently ran out so I topped up £10 yesterday and paid my Blackberry internet service (The £5.30 for 30 days) with my calling credit. It has always taken an average 10 minutes to start working again but it has now almost been 24 hours since I topped up and it is still not working. Blackberry App World is working, and one app that I downloaded requires internet and that's working fine. However, Faceboook, Browser, BBM, and Email are all not connecting. When I try and connect to the browser it comes up: "Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your service provider" - and yes, I have rebooted my blackberry by taking out the battery, about twenty times now and nothing has changed. I woke up this morning and blackberry app world was the only thing working. I have also tried "Registering Now" on the Host Routing Table, but nothing happens. What do I do?!

I suggest you follow the one instruction you have received but have yet to follow -- contact your wireless service provider. They are responsible for delivering all services to you. Think of it this way -- you are paying them for services that they are not delivering!

    That's what I was thinking but my neighbour did the 10.8 and got the 11 so can't understand how she got it and I didn't.
    I have been reading about iphoto 11 and there has been a lot of bad press when using with the iphone, ipad etc. Is it, in your opionion, too much hassle just for photo stream?

    I paid for a renewal almost a month ago, and I see the bill from Apple in my bank account, but my account is still expired and it asks me to renew it.
    I tried to contact support via e-mail three times already with no success, what can I do?

    There is no way to add more storage to an iPad. It sounds as if you may have gotten more iCloud space. iCloud is used for backups. More iCloud space has no effect on local storage.
    In order to free up space on your iPad, go to Settings>General>Usage. You'll be able to see what's taking up all the space. Delete anything you don't need. You'll need about 3.2 gigs of free space to update to iOS 7. Or, you can update using iTunes on your computer, in which case, you won't need all that extra space for downloading and unpacking as it will all be done on the computer.

    Make sure your Mac qualifies to run Mountain Lion >  Apple - Upgrade your Mac to OS X Mountain Lion.
    Try disabling anti virus software and turn off the Firewall in System Preferencs > Security & Privacy
    Apps such as Little Snitch and Net Nanny can prevent apps from downloading from the App store including Mountain Lion.
    Third party download managers are not compatible with the App Store.
    Keep in mind, for downloading Mountain Lion from the App Store, a high speed (broadband) internet connection is strongly recommended by Apple as noted here > iTUNES STORE - MAC APP STORE - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
    If you need to reinstall OS X or repair the the startup disk using Mountain Lion Recovery, that requires broadband access to the internet via Wi-Fi or an Ethernet connection. OS X is downloaded over the internet form Apple when OS X Recovery is used for reinstallation.

    Do you have sound coming from the audio output port using headphones?  If so, when the plug is pulled out, is there a red light?

  • I keep getting the trial versions after I've paid for the Creative Cloud service.

    I'm currently paying for the creative cloud service and I've downloaded a few of the programs (Indesign, Incopy, Photoshop, Illustrator) but when I open them they are coming up as trial versions. I uninstall the ones that were the trial version and reinstall them and I keep getting the trial version, What should do to fix this problem?

    hi, my blackberry has been working fine for weeks but for for the past week my internet service won't connect at all, in the top corner it just says GSM and ive tried everything i can think of, restarting the phone, turning the network on and off but nothing is working. it either says GSM or SOS. its supposed to say EDGE but its hasnt changed at all. what would any of you recommend? my network is tesco so if anyone knows a way to sort it out, please let me know - harry

    Under the mobile network options, do you see a box that says "network selection mode?"
    Can you change that to EDGE if possible?  If you can't change these, give your carrier a call

  • I have an AirPrint printer and am signed up for the wifi 3G service but will not have wifi.  Can an IPad be hooked to a printer with a cable, or can I print somehow without wifi?

    I have a new air print-capable printer and am signed up to Verizon wifi+3G service but will not have wifi while traveling.  Is there anyway to print from my iPad in this situation?  Cannot the IPad be hooked up to a printer with a cable?  If not, this seems to me to be a real shortcoming with an iPad!

    iPads cannot be connected to a printer using a cable.
    You need some form of Wi-Fi network to print. You do not need to have that Wi-Fi network connected to the internet. There are some devices that will create a Wi-Fi network and allow you to print. Google it to find someplace ossicle solutions.

    No, you can download/install it on as many Macs as you own and control. Just go back to the app store with the Apple ID you used to purchase it and download it again.

    Two days ago I downloaded the web developer tool bar (aus2.mozilla.com). I tried to use it but gave up. I deleted the tool bar.
    I don't have any images anymore. I use Google.com as my home page (default) and the large GOOGLE isn't there anymore. I've also noticed some of the sites I use don't have the continue or next or enter keys anymore. It seems the only thing I have now is the text.

    Are you sure you are looking at the Google page?? In Firefox 4.0 the default homepage / Start Page in Firefox was changed to '''about:home''' which looks a lot like the former www.google.com/firefox homepage.

    Microsoft has all ready released an update to Windows Phone 8.1. Us Verizon customers don't even have WP 8.1. *** Verizon?  My contract with Verizon is up in November this is the tipping point.  I am not going to renew my contract.  I will just buy the phone out right and sign up for Straight Talk.  Then I don't need to have the "Nanny service provider (Verizon)" telling me when I am able to obtain a device update.  Thanks for nothing Verizon.

    On one side, I can understand that maybe (and that's a BIG maybe) Verizon wants to make sure they have enough data (pardon the pun) regarding the successful adaptation of the update for it's customers in order to make sure everything goes smoothly.  However, I find that Verizon likes to keep customers in the dark regarding time frames.  It's interesting to see on some of the similar titles message boards entries on this topic have Verizon monitors ready to wipe out entries if they violate terms of service on the forums.  But, when asked directly about time frames for Windows updates, you either get a link to some Verizon news page (which is of no help), or nothing at all.  A number of people called Verizon customer service and get varied answers like: "Sometime this summer", "Soon", or even an "I don't know, they don't even tell us either"...which is the answer I got one time.  Very discouraging.  I had a choice between the Windows Phone, or a Samsung Galaxy phone.  I chose Windows because of it's features.  Beginning to regret it now, since support for it on Verizon appears to be dismal at best.

    If you have a iCloud account set up you may be able to disable it, I'm not entirely sure about the earlier iPods. Even a poor thief will have already changed your settings. You can report it as stolen and change all passwords associated with this iPod to prevent a thief from accessing your accounts, computer, etc. As for the blackmail stuff, be careful what you have on your devices! Nothing is that secure. Good luck.

    It is a simple thing to turn off the iphone witht the slider.  But my slleep button is not working and I am not at home to take it in.  I did take it to a local phone shop out of the U.S. and I was shown a different screen to customize movements that I could use and a number of other personalizations that i had never used before.  He showed me how to bring up the red slider without usint the sleep button, but it was fast and I now cannot find out how he did it.  It looked real easy but there are so many differnt things that one can do to adjust the phone to your own liking. Has anyone come across this before?  This would be for someone who knows how to use an iPhone 3S that has been fine-until now!  Thanks.
