the downloaded Mavericks installer will be put into your Applications folder. Have you checked there, to see if it actually did download OK?
(If you leave the Mavericks installer in your Applications folder, then it will be deleted after you run it. If you wish to keep the installer after running it, move it out of the Applications folder before running it for the first time.) -

Restore new iPad Mini from iPad 1 backup. Ican update new apps from Apple store but most of my apps have been showing the Waiting status for over 12 hours. Store shows them as installed. What gives?
If the downloads are stalled or "waiting" - try these suggestions.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.
If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad. -
I have an Iphone 5 and used to download applications from the Apple store but now i couldn't download any thing although it seems that it trying to download and gives " waiting Icon " and nothing happened although there is about 9.4 Gb available space

If you click the Store > Check For Available Downloads menu option on your computer's iTunes does that download them and/or do they show in the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes (TV programmes won't show in all countries) ? I have my iphone4 activated and working since 3days, i purchased it from ebay with 1year warranty, when i check the serial number from Apple store at Bangalore Forum mall, they say that it does not show anything and 'OUT OF WARRANTY'.
Now i have a problem in it, all icons just shake and system hangs, needs restarting.You need to go back to the person you bought it from. Sounds like they may have sold you phone that is not as described.

Automatically switches me to different apple store! I am using UAE store , but now it says I am using Singapore! But when I go to apple store and change it to UAE again , it charges 1 dhs and it work for the day. It behaves differently the next time ?
Where did you buy the iPad and register your iTunes account? What country is the credit card you used when you set up your iTunes account? Where are you now?

The error 1009 error is normally associated with a blocked country. There are a list of countries that Apple is not allowed to sell their software to due to US restrictions

I think you may not using the right technical terms. When backing up to icloud, there is no way you'd get a message saying things will be wiped. This message may be displayed when you are performing a RESTORE from a backup and then trying to cancel it.
If you are doing a restore, then you can reboot and restore again.
