What message do you get, exactly? (Please don't include the serial itself).
Is this using the original CD that came with the Acrobat 8 product?
Does it say anything about a "qualifying product"?

I have called Adobe Support and they kept on asking for the registered email address which I do not know. Phone support has referred me to this forum. Is there any way i can find out the acrobat Pro serial number on this computer?

Invalid serial number for Acrobat Pro 6.0

I had to reinstall Acrobat Professional 6.0(from a downloaded copy purchased from Adobe.com). The install will not complete. It says "Invalid serial number. Please try again". The only option is to cancel, and then I get the Message: "Adobe Acrobat could not install correctly. Adobe Acrobat was unable to install a necessary component and must quit."
I have verified the number with Adobe Licensing. Adobe Support informs me that they do not support version 6 and the answer is hidden away in the knowledgebase. I have searched the forums and the knowledgebase - to no avail.
Can someone please help or point me to the Doc # (if there is one).
Please do not suggest that I download a pirated version. That is not an option for me.
G4 PowerPC 500MHZ, 1GB SDRAM, 100GB still available on HD. OS X 10.4.11

After installation it says unable to validate this serial number for Acrobat Pro XI. Why? What do I do?

I received my serial number online and went through the installation process. After it was successfully installed I wend to open Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and followed the prompt to enter my serial number and then received this error message "We are unable to validate this serial number for Adobe Acrobat Pro XI. Please Contact Customer Support."
I've read several FAQ and troubleshooting discussions but none have touched specifically on this.
I would have called customer support but did not see a number to call.
Does anyone know what exactly is wrong or what I can do to resolve the issue?

How do I find my serial number for Acrobat Pro 11?

I purchased direct from Adobe and registered my installation but it shows no registered products on my page. I have purchased a new computer and need to download a copy to install but it asks for my serial number. I have checked all my saved emails and do not have one from adobe.

Never mind, I did an online chat with an Adobe tech and he was able to search all my past email addresses and find the one I used to place the order. I was then able to sign in to that address and get the serial number.

I recently asked Adobe's Online Support Centre to help me with my Serial Number on my Acrobat Pro 9. The disk has been loaded onto my old computers but I cannot deregister them because I have thrown them away. The online assistant fixed the problem for me so that I can use on my new computer, but after 2 weeks it has stopped working again. Any suggesstions??

If you've purchased a subscription, no serial number is required. Once your order processes fully (which can take 24-48 hours), your Adobe ID/password will work as verification of your purchase. You just need to log in, download Acrobat, and install it.

There are no serial numbers for CC products. Sign in to your account on the website, download the Creative Cloud app, install it and sign in, then install the software. Otehrwise refer to this:
