Toggle Airplane mode On and Off.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
Check for a carrier settings update. Tap Settings > General > About. If an update is available, a prompt will appear.
Remove the SIM Card and verify that it is a valid, carrier-manufactured SIM. Also verify that it is not damaged, worn, or modified. Then reinsert it.
Restore the iPhone.

Problem using Toshiba Software Installer for Win 7 on Satellite L750-1MT
Hello!
I have problem using Toshiba Software Installer for Win 7 on Satellite L750-1MT (PSK30E-02T002B3) with no OS preinstalled.
I do the following:
1. Install Windows 7 x64, SP1.
2. Install LAN driver (device was not recognized by Windows 6) (downloaded from [http://se.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/jsp/supportMyProduct.do?service=SE&LNG=26&userAction=S MP_RESULTS_PAGE&partNumber=PSK30E-02T002B3&serialNumber=&USER_ACTION=Serial%20number])
3. Install all Windows Updates from Microsoft
4. Run Toshiba Software Installer for Win 7 - it installs a couple of drivers and then asks to reboot.
Here is the log file for the first try (win7update.log):

Thanks in advance!You are right this notebook model was delivered without OS.
Win7 64bit is supported for this notebook model and all necessary drivers, tools and utilities are available on Toshiba download page.
What I can say is that all this stuff must be installed in right install order. I know it sounds stupid now but I recommend you to make clean OS again and continue installation following this installation order:

I just got a new I phone and it requires new software for my osx version 10.5.8 but the new software won't intall. It says I need the thing I'm installing to install it?
You need to contact Apple and order and purchase the next Upgrade Disk, Snow Leopard 10.6.3, install that and then update that to 10.6.8. You didn't give enough information to know if you need to then Upgrade that to Mountain Lion 10.8 in the Mac App Store by purchasing that, Or even IF your computer is capable of Upgrading to 10.8.

OS win98SE.
Have successfully installed my new webcam Vista Plus Model: VF0090. I now have a problem using it!
As per instuctions, I go to WebCam Centre and press 'capture'. I then get a message along the bottom of the screen saying 'this device is not available, it may be used by another resource'.
I'm completely at a loss as to what the problem could be.
Any one out there who could help?

SueGot the same problem (1), in addition to the installer freezing (2).
(1) There seems to be a problem with the software - the driver is OK. I used it to record still pictures and movies with MS Photoeditor, Irfanview, WinTVCap and YahooMessenger.
I played around for hours at no avail.
---> Creative - fix that problem in both Cam Detector and WebCam Center!!!
(2) The Setup freezes, then when you kill it it comes up with a DOS window complaining about not enough resources (?!?!?!).
Work-around:
a - Run Demo.exe from the CD;
b - it asks for a *.dbd: look for "your region".dbd, e.g. europe.dbd
c - continue and it will install ...
However, do not know if the install process is correct, because of problem (1). My guess is that it is, and that the problems (1) and (2) are independent.
Again:
---> Creative - fix that problem in with the setup!!!
e.g., use a setup which is less "cool" but which is working.

Computer running slow, and problems downloading new software
i have a powerbook g4 and it running slow at times. my dad bought a new one and gave me this one and my powerbook runs half of the speed of his. this is my 1st mac and i am trying to figure it out. my mac tends to freeze up sometimes when i am online. my cursor indicates that it is loading, but it takes a long time to load. most of the times i just force quit safari and try it again. also, when i try to install software off of the net, it ask me to pick a software to use to open it. i have tried almost every software on the computer and i have yet to run the installer. my email account is on hotmail, and my mac will not allow me to go straight to hotmail.com to retrieve emails. hotmail tells me that i have to download new software to be able to retrieve my mail, and that brings me to the above problem with downloading software. my mac runs on mac OS X version 10.3.9 if that is any help to you, thanks

It would be helpful to know a little more about your PB, like the processor speed and the amount of RAM installed. Both are available by selecting "About the Mac..." from the blue Apple menu at the let end of the menubar. -
Problems uploading new software
AAHHHHHHHHH!!!Please help i can not upgrade the software on my ipod from 1.1.1 to 1.2 I have downloaded itunes 7 and when i connect my ipod up it asks me if i would like to upgrade to the newer software. But after a few minutes it says i have had an unknown error (1417). I have tried removing and re-installing itunes but nothing works. Any suggestions??????

MBP Startup Manager uses New Software?
I repartitioned my MBP to 2 partitions. A small one with a stripped 10.4.5 & the other a large one for my main OS X. I use the small one to Repair the large partition when needed.
When I switched OS's, I used the Startup Manager to select the new Startup Volume. I was surprised to find myself in a screen new to me. It appears that my Build 8H1455 has new software. It was really fast in use. I don't know if it is just the MBP or the new software.Well... the MacBook Pro uses different hardware components and software to make it work. Apple had to redo the Startup Manager no matter what, so they probably ended up changing the look of it.

Google maps says GPS signal lost and GPS software shows that there are no active satellites located.
Thinking that it was a bug in the software I had the phone check for software updates and it is now stuck with the message "checking for new software for your HTC HTC6435LVW". Phone still works but the message keeps reappearing.
I have powered the phone off, removed the sim card, reinserted the sim card and powered the phone back up but that did not help. What next?Never fear, help is here Citadel_1974! I cannot find the backup of my phone on iTunes after new software download
I recently had to download new software for my husbands iPhone 4. It had not been updated in over a year. I synced his phone and made sure there was a fresh backup. After I downloaded the new software and installed it on the phone it will not find his backup. iTunes also does not show his phone as one I'm able to select. I is recognizing it as a new device.
Check iTunes for the back up.
