I phone 3GS wont send txt messages

hey recently bought a 2nd hand iphone it was on o2 network was jailbreaked to suit any sim im originally meteor thats why i wanted it done but since it was done i cant send txt messages what would the problem be and does anyone know how i could fix it i tryed every network vodafone o2 and meteor cant send txts from any network? bought it back to man in the store that unlocked it for me he said notting he can do any info greatly be appericaed thanks

Cant receive or send txt messages on my LG Cosmos

Just started yesterday, I cannot receive or send txt messages but I can make calls. I have tried the *228 reset, pulled the battery, did the full phone reset, did the settings deal all to no avail. I called customer service and tech support and they told me to do the same thing to no avail, does anyone have another fix. This is very frustrating, I dont think its fair that they try to make you get another phone to start a new 2 year contract. Thanks.

Not being able to message all day can definitely cause a lot of frustration. We're not looking for you to upgrade for this service to function. Messaging should work as long as the device is working with it. What happens when you try to send a message? What happens when someone sends you a message? Please tell us more so we can get this ultimately resolved for you.

Iphone 4 wont send picture messages to non iphone users

im having this issue with my iphone where it wont send picture messages to non iphone users. this problem is all of a sudden, it used to work and now its not. ive checked to see that my mms messages are turned on in settings and it still wont send. also picture messaging is included in the plan i have for the phone. any advice?

First step is to clean the iPhone charging port with a clean dry toothbrush, also use a bit of Isopropyll Alcohol, and clean especially the pins which are on top of the dock midrib.
Let it dry for a minute. Then open iTunes on computer, then connect iPhone to computer, then hold both Home and Power buttons until the iPhone is recognized by iTunes in Recovery Mode. Usually about 20 seconds time of holding both buttons. Restore the iPhone Firmware.

Make sure cellular data is turned on. Try sending again.
You did not say what droid you have, however if you had a kitty Kat update the messaging may have been screwed up.

Text messaging is my main form of communication so I understand how important it is to make sure you can consistently send and receive them. Let's keep those messages flowing.
When you say outside the network, do you mean people on other carriers? Are these users all on the same carrier? Do you know what kind of devices they have? Can you send to Verizon customers ok? What zip code are you having these issues in?

TS2755 I can't send txt messages to a phone number overseas.

I can't send txt msgs to a phone number in Canada. it was working fine up until a few days ago. I now get a "not delivered" error.
I'm with Optus, and have verified it's not a carrier issue.
When I put my sim in another phone send a txt to the number it is fine.
Put my sim back in my phone, and i get "not delivered"
So far to try and fix the issue - I have updated to iOs7, reset factory setting, restored from backup, deleted and entered the number again, typed the number in directly, deleted the message history.. nothing works!
I am at a loss, and can txt, mms & imessage to everyone else.
Yes the phone number is correct, and has the +1.

Blue is for registered iMessage users with an iphone. This service is free. Green is for sending SMS to people without iPhones, and requires an SMS plan with your provider. If you are trying to send an SMS to a friend, and you are out of texts on your phone, it will not send.

Iphone 4 wont send text message

I've got an iphone 4 and sometimes it will stop sending text messages. the send bar will load the whole way up until the last %10 then i'll get the red message send failure notice and it wont send any other texts until i turn it off then turn it back on. it's not really that big of a deal but it's really annoying. anybody know how to fix it?

Most likely this is a carrier issue, but you can try resetting your phone - press both home and sleep/wake buttons until the Apple logo appears.
Note that your profile has inconsistent info: iPhone 4 and iOS 3.0.1. The iPhone 4 requires iOS 4.x. Please correct.

i got my i phone 4s a few days ago and i wont send mms, i have contacted 02 they say its not there problem , Apple say its a softwear problem.
does anyone else have a problem with sending MMS ?

On your phone go to settings - message -and see if mms messaging is turned on.
Or check with your carrier and see if it is even activated.

Cannot send txt messages from my iPhone to a android galaxy gear 3

My husband switched from an iPhone to a galaxy note three and kept his old cell number. Now he cannot receive texts from any other iPhones including mine.
Research on Internet indicates this is common issue when an iPhone user switches to an android device and keeps old number from iPhone! Problem does not happen with new android devices .any workable solution known? So far suggestions in forums have not helped. APPLE store personnel uninformed reissue,as well as Best Buy personnel.

Looks to me like the question has indeed been asked 500 times or more...but still looks to me like many still have unresolved solutions if they have more than one Apple device. Wont' send Pic Messages

I am suddenly unable to send picture messages from my HTC Rhyme. I get and error that says "No support for 640x480 under the restriction creation mode" It will let me send low resolution pictures, but that is not good enough. I haven't changed anything since the last time I was able to send pics. I have checked for software updates, reactivated my phone, done a factory reset, cleared all temp files, and made sure there is enough space on my memory card. But still nothing. Does anyone know how to fix this?

When you're trying to send these photos, what type of signal indicator are you seeing on your phone (1X, 3G, Wi-Fi)?
Are you able to send the high resolution photo via email? The file size over 3G for a picture message does have a limit and it may be meeting that limit based on your description.

HT4623 Phone struggles to send any messages since installing 6.1.2

Since updating my phone to software 6.1.2 my phone now struggles to send any sms or mms and is struggling a lot from call failed. Is anyone else having the same issue?

I updated to ios 6.1.2 and now SMS messages don't work. I can iMessage, but non SMS messages. Can't send or receive. And when I send SMS messages, it appears to send, it's just never receieved.

Trying to send txt message says they don't have iMessage setup.

I tried to send a text message to a non apple device on my iPad. Will not let has name highlighted in pink with red ! Saying they don't have iMessage setup which they can't what do I do to send the a message?

Imessage falls back to SMS when it tries to send messages to non apple devices. That's because iMessage is an iOS only feature. Since your ipad doesn't have a phone number, it won't send it out to a non iOS device.
You would have to download a third party app that allows you to send text messages over data (I do believe some messangers let you do that as well as skype?)
