  • 3GS wont stop vibrating after incoming call in cars bluetooth device.

    Hi there.
Every time i have an incoming call in my car using bluetooth, my iphone wont stop vibrating until I either switch it off in the settings or reboot the iphone.
This is a bit of a pain.
Does anyone have any idea on why its doin this?
The bluetooth reciever is built into my Ford Focus. Hopefully its not a compatibility issue.
    Many Thanks!!!

Definitely not normal behavior. Try a reset. To reset the iPhone, press and hold the home and sleep/wake buttons until you see the Apple logo (ignore the slide to power off prompt). Else, perform a Restore (from backup so no data are lost).

If the center portion of the monitor is flickering then your GPU on the logic is bad or (unlikely given this symptom) that your monitor cable is pinched/damaged.
**Imediately backup ALL your important data while you can still see things on the monitor
Contact Apple for appt. for in shop diagnostics for full examination and for parts replacement
nobody can give you a cost on a repair that isnt fully diagnosed online and cannot be.
perform SMC reset just to check:
    Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.

    Hi guys,
So recently my iPhone 5C started vibrating after receiving a message over fb messenger and ever since it wont stop vibraing, i have hard-reset the phone several times, i have restored the phone, eraised all content, set up as a new iphone, done the lock, home and up volume button on reset, and it still persists to vibrate.
Do you have any other suggestions i can use to try to get the phone to stop vibrating its really annoying, thanks!

Take it to any Apple Store for a Free Evaluation.  Be sure to make an Appointment first.

  • My phone will not stop vibrating - Treo 700p - please help

My Verizon Treo 700p vibrates as soon as I put the battery in the phone.  It never stops vibrating even after doing a hard reset.  I can even make a phone call.  Everything seems to work fine, but it never stops vibrating.  Does anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks.

Yes, this is a Community support forum manned by Volunteers and a handful of Palm CSR's.  We aren't miracle workers however, and it appears no one came up with an answer!
We try to answer every post, but right now there are over 125,000 registered members here.  18 months ago, there were many fewer helpers here than what we have now and this post just never got a response... When Palm ended direct email support, it appears some of the CSR's got routed to this forum.
My best guess, is the phone is defective and needs replacement.  If a proper Hard Reset performed correctly did not fix anything, then it sounds like hardware failure, or the phone was dropped or allowed to get wet.  All pure speculation on my part.
I see this is your first post.  Welcome!  Hopefully you'll hang around to "pay it forward" and help other Palm users in need...

  • I Phone 3GS wont work :/ help please :)

Hi, my I phone 3gs showed that i need to download the latest software update, so i tried to download it, my phone crashed, so tried to restart, and now its just switching on showing the apple logo and switching off and then repeating the process, what can i do ?.. please help..

Your phone has entered recovery mode.  You will need to connect it to a computer with iTunes and restore it to factory settings.  Hopefully you have a backup (either iTunes or iCloud) to restore from.

  • Please Help! Iphone wont stop vibrating!

My iphone started vibrating over 40 min ago, and will not stop. It is unresponsive, i have tried restarting it. The home and lock button are both unresponsive. I pluged it into iTunes, but it doesn't even connect. I only had 18% battery, i thought i could just wait for it to die and restart it, but it still hasn't died. Any advice?

If you have an iPhone 4 with iOS 5, you're probably already syncing to iCloud. You can check by going to settings in your phone. If you don't have that, or don't want to turn on iCloud, below is what I did:
    To back up your contacts:
Connect your phone to the computer you usually sync with
Go to the info tab and choose Sync Contacts with... (I'd suggest Google)
Make sure to copy any pictures and apps.
Once you get a new phone, the apple techs will give you directions, but basically, it's the same thing. Connect your phone, go to info, and then scroll down to advanced and choose replace.
From my experience and the techs I spoke with, the vibrating thing is usually a symptom of a bigger problem. Apple will probably want to wait to replace until you have a second problem (another vibrating issue, turning off, whatever), but if you go to them now, even if they don't replace immediately they'll have a record of it when you show up with a second problem. It's probably not a bad idea to have a backup of your data just in case though, because these phones seem to have a knack for not working when you most need it.
    Good luck!

  • My iphone is really hot and wont stop vibrating.

I woke up this morning and my iphone was next to me. I rolled over and it burned me because of how hot it was. I woke up and noticed it was vibrating too. Not short little vibrates but this one long continuous vibration. Also, the screen was black but in the middle were little white lines. I tried cutting the phone off. It didnt work. I tried resetting by holding the power and home button. It didnt work. So I went to the bathroom came back and it was still hot and vibrating. As soon as I picked it up to go ask someone about it, the vibration shut off and it seemed the phone was powered off. So I tried the power button again. No luck. I tried the resetting process. No luck. Someone help me and tell me what should I do? Is there anyway to fix this problem?

More than likely it has quit vibrating because the battery has gone dead. Try charging it for a bit and see if it comes back to life. If it does and it's no longer vibrating try resetting the phone. If that does't help then its likely a hardware problem in which case take it to an authorized Apple repair centre or an Apple store and have it checked out.

  • I Phone 3GS wont turn on

Alright so two days ago my iphone worked just fine. Around lunch it would not turn on I had about 20 battery when I checked in the morning so I thought it was just dead. When I went home to plug it in for a little bit, it would not turn on any more. So I tried to do a reset (Holding Lock & Home buttons) and nothing happened. So I plugged it into my computer. It says "Your iphone has been detected in recovery mode. You must restore" or something in that nature. So I click "Restore & Update" and it goes to do it but i get an error "Error 21" and then my iphone screen goes all white. Nothing else helps like resets. Im currently trying to let it die but it has been unpluged for 2 days and still has not died when it was at 20% on thursday morning. So I am going to leave it to die and try again on monday at around 4pm but if it dose not work what could this be
Note - I may have had a snow ball hit me and some snow dampen the area around my pocket were my phone was but the phone was not even wet and it had a case and screen cover on it so I do not think its water damged
Also - The phone when i recived it was jailbroken but worked fine with updates & syncs for over 12 months untill this happen

That's normal.  Keep the phone in a warm pocket.  From the iPhone Tech Specs, http://support.apple.com/kb/SP565
    Operating temperature: 32° to 95° F
    (0° to 35° C)
    Nonoperating temperature: -4° to 113° F
    (-20° to 45° C)

  • Blank screen and N8 wont stop vibrating

As above, couldnt  turn it off for ages and think that was by chance after pressing anything and everything on the phone. It now wants the lock code,12345 just returns an error message.GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
Great phone when it works, which isnt enough GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Dont think i'll be buying another Nokia, unless they sort out all these poxy problems, which is a shame as ive owned Nokia from day one.

Sound like you got some issues, i would say the best course of action would be to make use of your warranty and get it checked at a care center. With all mobiles there are times when some just have a faulty part. Thats what the warranty is for. So bagging the entire brand because of one issue with one model is not accurate. My 3720 classic works just fine never had a problem.
But i think you should take it to the repair centre, especially if it is getting hot as well.
    Cheers
