My IPhone and iPad stopped connecting to home wifi. Other devices still connect.
My Iphone and IPad just stopped connecting to home Wifi; other divices still work including my IMac
Try resetting your wireless router and modem.
Disconnect the wireless router from the power source followed by disconnecting the modem from the power source. Wait 5 minutes followed by reconnecting the modem to the power source and allow the modem to completely reset before reconnecting the wireless router to the power source. -
IPhone 5 WiFi Stopped connecting to Home WiFi
So as of a few months ago, my Iphone 5 stopped connected to many WiFi networks (hotels, Free WiFi etc). I thought this was a network load issue. As of about a week or so ago, it stopped connecting to my Home WiFi.
I have tried EVERYthing. Reset network settings. Reset router. Power cycled both several times. Hard wipe and restore. Static IP. Changed password of network. Changed SSID of network. Changed WiFi version. Changed Channel. Changed security settings of network (WPA/WPA2/WEP). Another iPad running older versions of the OS has no problem connecting to the network and neither does the MAC and a samsung galaxy.
It still does not work on SOME networks. It DOES WORK on enterprise networks and other places.
I went into the genius bar this am - RUDE customer service. Didnt understand the problem. Brought the manager over and he didnt have a solution either. I am hoping someone on the communities has an answer.
Thanks!!!I'm having the EXACT same problem! My iPhone 5 used to connect easily to our and every other network till about a month ago. Now it rarely connects and if it does, is showing speeds of 0.25/0.25 Mbps. There is another iPhone 5, two 5c's, an old iPad, and several computers at our house and NONE of them have a problem connecting. I read about this problem on another forum, tried all the suggested fixes and nothing helps. Genius bar is the next stop. I'll let you know what they say...

I reset network settings. All other apple devices in home connect as intended. Circle in settings just keeps spinning next to connection but won't connect.
I have the same problem. I connect my iPhone 5 to my home wifi (airport express) and to a MiFi Jetpack at work everyday. After about 2 days the phone will no longer connect. I just get a spinning circle next to the wifi name. The same thing will happen at home and at work at the same time. I'll reset my network settings on my phone then I can connect to both wifi spots. After another couple of days the process repeats. Obviously it is not the airport express or Jetpack since it only affects my iphone and not anyone elses and the reset on the phone fixes it.

MacBook 10.6.8 Stopped connecting to home wifi
I've read similar forums but can't seem to master this no matter how many steps I take. About a week ago my Macbook stopped connecting to out home wifi. It connects to neighbors and public wifi connections without a problem (how I'm posting now-local open wifi network). We called our ISP and and they came, replaced the modem, and still it won't connect. It shows that I am connected but it will not recognize when I attempt to connect. With Chrome, I keep getting the "Receiving host" error so I've tried researching that. But with Safari or Firefox it won't connect. Regardless, I've tried Open DNS, I've deleted all my prefered networks, I think I've tried every possible step I can find. Any suggestions?
Try the basics first:
Change your router channel number. Most times this works & is all you have to do.
Disconnect & reconnect your modem. unplug it for about 10 seconds. Plug it back in. Do the same for Apple’s routers. Wait for everything to reboot.
System Preferences>Network
Click the Assist Me button.
In the next window that pops up, click the Diagnostic button & do the necessary.

IPhone 4S suddenly stopped connecting to home WiFi
Hey all,
So I've had my iPhone for probably about 4 months, and up until about 2 or 3 weeks ago, WiFi was working fine on it. Then, one day, I left home and came back a few hours later, and I couldn't connect to the home network. I can still see the network, and it comes up with the signal strength and everything seems normal, but then I go to connect and a message pops up saying "Unable to join network [Home]".
There're 9 other devices on our router, which are an iPhone 4, an iPhone 3GS, an iPod touch, an Apple TV, a windows laptop, an iMac, a MacBook, an ipad, and a PS3.
Thanks for any help in advance.Oh and I forgot to mention, I can access other WiFi networks.

Why has my iPod Touch stopped connecting to my WiFi?
Why has my iPod Touch stopped connecting to my WiFi?
It's been fine for the past 2 years but today, it's stopped. It was working this morning...
According to settings it has connected but I cannot access anything online and the internet icon is missing.
WiFi is working on my phone & laptop so it doesn't appear to be a problem with the router. Also I've just synced my iPod with iTunes, reset and restarted - still no luck.
Any suggstions?
ThanksDid you already try to reset the network settings in Settings/General/Reset?

IPhone will not connect to home WiFi
new iPhone 4 6.0 will not connect to home wifi--other apple products (iPad & other iPhone 4) will connect to home WiFi--I experienced this problem with first iPhone 4 received 11/13--got new phone 11/26 and STILL can not connect
Is this a password protected network? Go to Settings, General, Reset, Reset Network Settings. After that, try to connect again. This reset will remove all password and wifi information from the device and should give you a clean start to connect to the home network.

Hi I have this problem that my iPad 4 stops connecting to the wifi at around 9:30 every night
Hi I have this problem that my iPad 4 stops connecting to the wifi at around 9:30 every night but my iPhone 5 and Mac mini still connects to the same wifi network I have called apple support and they had no clue what the problem is, have tried changing the http settings to auto and resetting the network setting on the iPad but no luck so far would appreciate any help thanks josh
One possibility is that there is an allowed time period for access programmed into your WiFi router for the MAC address of your iPad.
What make, model, and version WiFi router do you have?
Another possibility is that you are getting some WiFi interference from a nearby WiFi network which is automatically turning on at 9:30 PM. A nearby home security system could be the culprit. -
New phone won't connect to home network, works fine on other networks.
I have a new 5s and it will not connect to my home wireless network. It connects fine to other networks. I have tried resetting network connections, resetting the router and all other things I can think of.
My wife also has a 5s that connects fine and all of our other devices connect fine.
Here's the rundown:
my 5s with 7.0.2 does not connect at home
wife's 5s with 7.0.0 connects at home
ipad 3 with 7.0.0 connects at home
ipad mini with 6.0 connects at home
Anyone have any idea what's going on?There must be a problem with the radio software or hardware. I have spent the last six hours trying various things with two brand new iPhone 5Cs. All of the other WiFi equipment in my home is fine, as were my two old iPhone 3GSs; just upgraded (or is it downgraded?) Saturday. Even a totally erased and new set-up has the same problem. The Genius Bar folks gave me a new phone today, and it has the same problem. I am NOT HAPPY.
I can connect reliably to WiFi with NO SECURITY settings (I typically use WPA2 and TKIP/AES). You are not alone, and Apple has a problem; see all of the other complaints about dropped WiFi, no connect to WiFi, etc. Please call Support and complain - they don't monitor these communities much. -
My Ipad2 stopped connecting or finding Wifi
HI all, I have ipad2 and for the last few days it stopped connecting to the wifi, and even detecting wifi, only connects to my Iphone 4 hotspot, I did all the suggestion i read on line including reset network setting, switshing OFF then ON my ipad, turning OFF then ON airplane mode, turning OFF then ON the wifi on my IPad and forgetting this network, and even resetting router, but no luck, my ipad only connects to my IPhone 4 hotspot now, I have other devices and all connect to wifi no problem. Any help will be appreciate it.
thanks
AligSome things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at
http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

IPhone 4s connected to home wifi but won't allow connection to internet etc...
We recently received a new modem from the cable/internet company and although the iPhones indicate they are connected to home wifi they won't connect to facebook, yahoo, google, update email. Basically we are using our data in our home with a working internet. The computers are working fine. I have spent a few hours with the cable company and the phone company trying to solve this issue. They both say it is an issue with the other party....we have not update to the new OS yet... could this be a setting issue within the phone not responding to the new modem? Should we try updating the phones OS?
my kids are running through their data...any advice would be helpful. I have already had to pay for the unsuccessful help of the cable company.Hello there, Mouse1892.

Iphone 4 wont connect to home wifi but connects to neighbors open wifi. Family members with iphones can connect to the wifi automatically and Mac compiuter in home connects to this wifi and this iphone did connect automaticcally until a few weeks ago. Does not request password when try to connect to own wifi..just says "cant access.". Also cant access the Apple apps store to purchase apps but all other function operate normally. Apple store tech says nothing wrong with phone. It connected to their wifi and coud access apps store from their wifi. This iphone belongs to son who is autistic. I am mother trying to resolve this issue and very frustrated. Have reset router but no change.
Based on the symptoms, your phone is fine, and the Router is the problem. Try http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398. Specifically the "forget this network" step. I would also consider resetting the wifi network password. Sometimes that will allow a connection.

I am having problems connecting to home wifi. It was working, but now all I get is a blank white screen. I re-booted with no success.
Hi, blank white screen where exactly?
Make a New Location, Using network locations in Mac OS X ...
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2712
10.5, 10.6, 10.7 & 10.8…
System Preferences>Network, top of window>Locations>Edit Locations, little plus icon, give it a name.
10.5.x/10.6.x/10.7.x/10.8.x instructions...
System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.
The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.
If using Wifi/Airport...
Instead of joining your Network from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed.
For 10.5/10.6/10.7/10.8, System Preferences>Network, unlock the lock if need be, highlight the Interface you use to connect to Internet, click on the advanced button, click on the DNS tab, click on the little plus icon, then add these numbers...
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
(There may be better or faster DNS numbers in your area, but these should be a good test).
Click OK.
