I phone 4s 3g and 1x in office now, won't connect.

I have a I phone 4s and will vary between 3g with 2 bars and 1x in the office. It will not connect for netflix and constantly buffers on other streaming content. AT times it will not sent text msg and I will get failure msg. I sit by a wall of celing to floor windows and my connectivity a few months ago was just fine in the office, I could search the web an dplay netflix. How do I get a better, stronger signal to use my phone. My contract is up and I'm thinking of trying another service.

Does it appear in My Computer?
Look at the dock connector on the iPod. Compare with the iPod that does work/connect.
I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1

I had this same problem. Tried everything the internet said including a full restore. Which was terrible. Nothing worked until.....go to general...reset....reset all settings.
You had to go back in and reset anything you customized afterwards, however it does not allow the store to load. Thanks!

IPad was connected to my home WiFi, but now won't connect. my phone has no problem connecting though

IPad won't connect to my home WiFi. Was connecting fine then stopped. My phone has no problem connecting to same WiFI. Confused.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)

    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Macbook Pro died and now won't connect to the internet

I just got home from college and my Macbook Pro died while I was using it because I couldn't find the charger in time to plug it in (stupid mistake that I never ever let happen usually). After I found it, plugged it in, and started it up again, the date and time were messed up on the computer. I reset them to normal and tried to connect to the internet using my old settings, but it hasn't connected.
I've tried a lot to try and fix it so far and it still won't connect. Other computers and devices (HP and Dell laptops, iPod touches, PS3) that my family have and use all work and connect to the internet fine.
I've tried to run the Network Diagnostics and after plugging in all of my settings and information, it says that it can't fix it. Next to it on the left, the Airport, Airport Settings, and ISP are all green...but the Network Settings is yellow and the Internet and Server are red.
I've deleted my internet settings and tried recreating them and that hasn't worked either. I have also tried the Assist Me portion to make a new connection - no luck there.
I've also tried resetting the Macbook Pro and the router (an Actiontec router for Verizon FIOS) multiple times and that hasn't worked either.
I unfortunately can't use Time Machine either because I don't have an external hard-drive and haven't set it up.
I just don't really know what to do at this point. Hopefully someone can help me out!

Archive Install
Erase & Install (full reinstall done by Genius)
Card Replacement
Bluetooth Replacement
Zapping the PRAM
Trying different connections/routers/locations/connection types/etc.
Visited Genius bar 4 times now.
Have been without the computer longer than I've been with it.
Trying to change over from a horrifically bad Dell to a refurb Mac worked once before...though I've come to believe: It's not the refurb, it's not the hardware, it's not the settings, it's not the router, it's not the install, it's not the associated software, it's not the connection, it's not the Super Moon that comes up tomorrow...It's a hardware issue as this has been happening since I opened the computer out of the box, and we have an identical computer running identical programs on an identical network with the identical updates and NO problems whatsoever--I'm assuming the innards may have been cheap'ed out somewhere to save a buck or a connector is faulty after a particular build date?

My ipod got an extremely low battery and now it won't connect to itunes or charge when connected with the usb. I had not trouble connecting before this

Does the iPod show that it is charging?

TS4108 I have recently done a software update on my phone, when complete I could not get the phone to work and the icon showed I had to connect to I-tunes. I then lost some recent data and photos. If they are backed up to the cloud how do I recover them?

When I completed my last software update directly on my phone I didn't realise I would then be prompted to do and I-tunes update that would wipe my phone. There seemed to be no turning back so I lost some data and photos. I'm assuming these will be backed up to the cloud but have no idea how to retrieve them.

If you have an iCloud backup, restore it to your phone as explained here: https://support.apple.com/kb/ph12521. If you have a backup on your computer instead, restore it to your phone by connecting your phone to your computer, opening iTunes and going to File>Devices>Restore from Backup.

Phone kept getting hotter and hotter after update - now won't turn on

Well, seems that my phone crapped out. The mandatory system update that seemed to take forever to load and then install. Afterward, the battery would get the life sucked out of it in minutes while getting hotter and hotter to the touch. Now it won't even turn on. Grrrrrrrrrrr
Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions on fix?

Believe me when I say I feel your pain! I have the same phone and had the same issues after the update. But don't worry because I'm here to help!
What worked for me was performing a hard reset http://bit.ly/nExWmP after the update. I know it can be inconvenient but necessary after such a big update like the ICS.
I noitced a big difference after the hard reset and I'm confident you will too. Just make sure you back up your phone before the hard reset so you don't lose anything you need.

I believe that when you reset your ipod(command given from the computer, right?) touch WHILE the ipod was updating, It cleared the system in the middle of writing files, thus corrupting(equivalent of cutting of in the middle of a sentence) the basic running system.
I suggest you go to an apple store and ask for a technical diagonosis in person. they may offer to help if the problem is fixable. If your ipod is still under warrenty, i would guess it would be free/low cost.

"Then you'll have to force the phone/touch into recovery mode & restore it:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still dont see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new."

I-phone 5 crashed durning software update. Now won't accept backup password.

Just tried to update software on i-phone 5. A backup was made. Something crashed durning update and my only option to move forward was to restore the phone to the original settings. Now it won't accept my password to reload the backup; however, the password works elsewhere.

Boot from your system install DVD, run Disk First Aid from your Disk Utility and repair your permissions.
