I phone 4S keeps dying.

My 4 month old iPhone 4S keeps dying, it happened 6 times in a row, should i be worried.  I got it back eventually by constantly hard rebooting.  Is this sinister.  I dont have apple care, can I take it in to be looked at, will they care?

Hello:
Same issue here, called Support last night and after 1 hour and 30 minutes, I was transferred to a support specialist.  Basically Im getting a replacement units since it seems to be a hardware issue...
Problem is I will be without phone for a couple of days, but at the end lets hope the problem does not come back again.

  • My I phone 4 keeps dying and I keep restoring it and now I don't even have a decent downloaded Itunes on my computer? When it is about to dye it turns a Sepia color than keeps rerouting. Help please?

I phone keeps dying I have had it since 12/2012, Christmas past 2 months started dying and then keeps trying to reroute, I have restored it 20 or more times. Right before it dyes the screen turns Sepia Brown and then nothing. Now computer is telling me that Itunes is corrupted. Any ideas???  Much appreciated and Thank You.

Sounds like an impending failure of the phone. Try to get a good backup of all data and photos. Then Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

  • Jst bought an iphone 5s and 5c battery keeps dying have noticed a lot of people have had this issue for awhile but I haven't seen any real fix. ???

I just bought a 5s and the battery keeps dying. I have noticed several people have had this same problem for awhile but I haven't really seen a fix.
I am loosing about 1% every 2 min as well. not very tech savy but I did turn off the LTE. I did originally let phone die all the way then charge all the way.
Have only had for 3 days should I start with taking it back and replacing? or does everyone think this is a software fix we are all gonna have to wait for ?
    Thanks

You can try this link for some help http://osxdaily.com/2013/09/19/ios-7-battery-life-fix/. I do not see my iPhone 5s behaving in this manner, so there has to be some settings that you are using that are giving you problems. Did you restore this phone from an older iPhone backup? If so, you might want to restore the device as new and start over and sync over individual parts to see what might be bad.

  • Xdm keeps dying

After a recent upgrade to Solaris 9 the xdm keeps dying and restarted after about 5-10 minutes. I can speed this up by stopping and starting the script in the /etc/rc2.d/ directory but it still dies after about 5 minutes with no real error message to go on.

On another related subject... if my computer is 'chuffed' I don't understand about Apples approach to repairs and stuff... It was my understanding that if a piece of hardware was under a year old and suffered from a technical fault it was the responsibility of the company to replace/repair for free? Apple seem to only do 90 days? IS that right?
If I need a new part will I have to pay for parts and service even though I've had it less than a year (7 months)
Your Imac has 90 days phone support and 1 year parts and labour. If you phone after the 90 days is up they will ask for a credit card #, now if they find out it is a hardware issue you will not be charged.
Now if it won't power on at all I would thing it is a hardware issue, if it was a bad hard drive or corrupted software then it should turn on but not find the drive or the OS on the drive. Call Apple again and tell them you want it fixed or take it in you are still covered.
You should also think about extended warrentee which gives you a total of three years phone support and three years parts and labour. Keep us posted, Bob :~))

  • My i phone 4 as died after using facetime any ideas why and how to start it bak up???

my i phone 4 as died after using facetime any ideas why and how to start it bak up???

Connect iPhone to Wall Charger for 10 minutes, it may turn ON itself. If still nothing, keep on charger and Reset, hold both home and power buttons for about 20 seconds until the iPhone begins to start.

  • Phone battery has died.

my phone battery has died. Think there is a fault with the handset. Is there anyway I can transfer my pictures across? I have purchased Itunes match.

If your battery is dead, that means your phone is dead, and if that's the case, no you can't do anything with a dead iPhone but look at it.
Have you tried charging the phone?
Try restting it while plugged into the wall outlet: Press the Sleep/Wake button & Home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release.

  • My iPhone 5 keeps dying

My phone keeps dying at 40% or more and then when it is charging, it stays at the same percentage or looses battery. Also, my keyboard periodically stops working completely. I don't know what to do..?

Press home button twice quickly, delete all the background apps from memory, with iOS 7 slide all the window panes up. Then Reset, hold both the home and power buttons for about 10 seconds until the iPhone restarts.

  • Why does my fully charged iPad 2 battery keep dying at 50% charge? I have updated to iOS 7 and this started happening. What could be the cause of it?

My iPad's battery keeps dying. When I plug it in and put it back on, the screen shows a drained battery. After a few moments it boots up. However, when I check the battery charge, it's at 52% or so. Can someone tell me what's causing this? And what can I do to fix it?

For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).

  • I have a jetpack, and when I try to "connect" to my ipad or phone, it keeps telling me I am not using the correct password.  I have tried everything.  I even changed the password, nothing is working.  Both are 4G, my ipad is an Air and my phone is a Iphon

I have a jetpack, and when I try to "connect" to my ipad or phone, it keeps telling me I am not using the correct password.  I have tried everything.  I even changed the password, nothing is working.  Both are 4G, my ipad is an Air and my phone is a Iphone 5.  I can get connected to other wifi on these features but not with my jetpack.  Please help, I need to use this feature soon.  Thank you so much

Chances are you mis-typed a character in the Wifi password and the devices saved that information.  Now whenever you try to connect the device refers to the wrong password and the Jetpack does not accept your connection.  Tell your devices to forget the wireless connection and start over.
Once you enter the proper WiFi credentials the Jetpack will allow you to connect.

  • I got this iphone from a guy and everytime i tried to update the applications stored in this phone it keeps asking me the password that the guy used to use, even thou i created a new apple ID of my own and updated the account of icloud and everything in t

I got this iphone from a guy and everytime i tried to update the applications stored in this phone it keeps asking me the password that the guy used to use, even thou i created a new apple ID of my own and updated the account of icloud and everything in this iphone with the new apple ID, it still asks me the password of the account that the guy used to use whenever i tried to update the applications, and i cant find the guy who gave me this iphone...wt should i do???

Apps are permanently tied to the AppleID that downloaded them and cannot be transferred to another.  Best thing to do is delete the apps and download those you want or need under your AppleID.

  • Ok, so I transferred my 3S info to my 4S by restoring from an old phone backup.  But SIRI is gone and god knows what else??  Can I get my old stuff into the new phone and keep the 4S new functionality?

I suspect unless he had some items in iCloud backup then they are gone.  Connecting an iPhone to a different library from that to which it was previously connected will result in the device asking if you want to erase it.

  • My I phone 4 keeps going to voice call.  Voice call is turned off in my settings... how do i stop this?

My I phone 4 keeps going to voice call.   This happens when I push the home button.  It also happens when the phone is just laying on my desk or in my pocket.  I have turned phone off and on.  I have done a hard restart also.  The home buttom seems slow to respond as well.  I keep getting calls back from people in my contacts list who say I called them, when actually the voice control/call did it while i was away from my phone.   Frustrated and needing help!  Thanks!

  • Downloading selected playlists to phone, but keeping iTunes Match functionality?

I did look around for the answer to this, but found nothing that answered the question specifically.
I have an extensive music collection by most standards.  It's about 180gb and "weeded" out to eliminate the bad songs.  I have it organized into playlists that I listen to almost exclusively, as the collection is too large to just hunt and find stuff when you just want to hear music.  I essentially do a genius playlist and save it as a new one to listen to.
I travel a lot to places without cell service, and that is where I listen to music essentially 100% of the time.  Out on the river on a boat for example.  iTunes match is horrible for this, as I found out the first try, and had to dig out CD's to get me through the trip.
I have paid for iTunes match, and listen to iTunes Radio primarily at the house every day streaming from the phone.  Works great.  Because of the lack of coverage though, I need to download my music onto the phone and keep it there, which has required me to shut off iTunes Match on phone.  This turns the radio into a commercial machine though.  Even though I own iTunes Match, if I don't have it enabled on the phone, it acts like I don't have it and I get commercials. Weak.
Lastly, I have downloaded the music onto my phone, turned on iTunes Match once downloaded (someone elses solution) and it deleted it as soon as I synced my phone again
How do I download say 50gb of music onto my phone and have it not delete it as soon as it syncs again?

There are two methods to get large amounts of music onto your iPhone.
    1. Turn off iTunes Match, sync the music via USB, then re-enable the service. The music shouldn't actually be deleted. The service isn't supposed to work that way.
    2. Download the playlist to your iPhone via Wi Fi while on your home network.

  • How do I move music off my phone and keep it in my library?

Ive taken up too much memory with music on my iphone. How do I delete it on the phone and keep it on my MacBook and Ipad?

if they are things you bought in the iTunes store, then you can trasnfer them to your iTunes library

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848
If not then you would have to use some sort of non apple software to move or transfer non puchases from your device to the library.
