I phone 4s water damaged beyond repair

Hi everyone, perhaps someone can help with my dilemma. Much loved i phone 4s was dropped down the loo....exactly. It's damaged beyond repair. My problem is finding a replacement. The phone was bought by my daughter from her older brother, and was a much prized possession. It had 64gb and was priceless to her. Her birthday's coming up and I'd love to find a way to get another one for her, but they aren't around anymore. Can anyone suggest a solution? Any site I could buy a refurbished one for her, that would be trustworthy?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Contact Apple. They will do an out-of-warranty exchange on that 4S for £ 166.44 if you're in UK, or check your country's pricing by going to Apple - Support - Service Answer Center  and change that to your own country, then look under Warranty and Service Pricing.

    start from where I left off in my new iphone

    If you are asking what happens when you delete an iCloud backup, it only deletes the backup from your account.  It won't do anything to the data on your phone or in your iCloud account.  If you don't need to backup you can delete it.  (If you no longer want to back up your phone to iCloud, turn iCloud backup off in Settings>iCloud>Backup.  Then your phone will back up to your computer each time you sync it with iTunes.)

    Can an ipad that has suffered water damage be repaired?  Everything seemstomwork except the wifi antenna and the sound.

    UPDATE: I emailed MyiBroke not even an hour ago and have already received a response
    "Jay, Thanks for pointing that out. I will make sure that the spelling errors are corrected in the morning. We really appreciate you taking the time to show us a kindness! Have a Merry Christmas
    Hayden"
    Chris, we are all human and capable of making mistakes. I would much rather help resolve a problem vs attempting to drive business away from a company who is offering a much needed service. For me to get an email response with in an hour of contacting a company on the east coast who is not likely open at 2am is more than impressive in my book. When is the last time you emailed a business in the middle of the night and they responded that fast?
    WARNING - Do not do business with a company that doesnt provide amazing customer service - BE AWARE!

  • How do i know if my phone is water damaged

    I have been asked by warranty advisors whether my phone is water damaged-  is there any signs that show it is or not???
    Thanks

    Take a look at this article, to find out where the indicators are:
    iPhone and iPod: Liquid damage is not covered by warranty

  • HT3302 My phone got water damaged but it still functions well the speaker though did get damage unable to hear while placing a call. Is it fixible? i havent purchased the apple care warranty.

    For clarification Apple will do an out-of-warranty replacement for water damage regardless of the damage. If a truck runs over it and it is in many pieces in a bag they may not replace it.
    deggie, sorry to disagree, but I've had Apple Stores tell me (as well as Apple's Repair Depot) that if the water damage has gotten too severe (such as causing excessive corrosion inside the device), they may opt not to allow the OOW replacement.  It's always at Apple's final discretion whether or not a device is or is not BER (Beyond Economical Repair).  Basically, if there's not enough worth to salvage from the device to make it worth Apple's time, they can refuse the OOW replacement.
    It's wiser to prepare for the worst and then be delighted when the reality is better.

  • IPhone5 water damage - AppStore repair?

    Hi, Stupidly dropped my i5 in kids paddling pool a few weeks ago - did the sit it in rice thing for a few days, now phone sometimes boots up, it seems to charge ok, but when I switch off and back on, sometimes it boots, other times it goes into the apple logo loop and never boots, other times on first attempted boot it comes up with the text as below at the top of the screen in a very small font:
    AppleBCMMLAMCore::bootChipImage(): state 0x20
    AppleBCMMLAMCore::halt():
    AppleBCMMLAMBusInterfaceHSIC::resetChip():
    I assume this is a dodgy battery now? as when it comes on, it all seems to work fine...
    Question is, Will Apple AppStore take this in and repair it? Or because it was water damaged they will literally wash their hands of it? I've seen loads of DIY take the phone apart and mess about with it videos on YouTube - but would rather a pro does this and replaces the battery for me... Happy to purchase the new battery and pay the charges for taking it apart and replacing the battery - Not gonna pay for a replacement phone at the full retail price though as have an i4 which works as its replacement currently...
    Anyone had the same in the UK? Any advice?
    Cheers.

    The phone is inside 12 months old, I assume even outside of 12 months old it's all still an Outside of Warranty replacement and therefore the same charges for replacement model?
    Correct.
    In UK, how does the model it is replaced with fit into the carier setup we have in the UK?
    You get exactly what you have now...color...capacity...carrier locked, if carrier locked.

  • How do i determine if my phone has water damage?

    I suspect my phone had water spilled on it during a plane ride.  Is there a way to check the phone for this?

    Only if it penetrated the phone enough to set off the water damage litmus paper inside the phone. That means you need to take it in for service. You don't want to take it apart and risk voiding the warranty.

  • If I have a phone on the old 50 dollar plan(unlimited text, call, and web), but my phone got water damage, can i switch a new phone to the same plan?

    Hey!
    So my phone somehow got water damage and I cannot fix it. I was waiting til the last possible moment to transfer my number over and now the time has come. However, when I went to change my phone, the plan that I currently have was no longer offered as an option. Is there any way that I can switch phones and keep the same plan? If so, how can I do that? I need my phone as soon as I can get it because I have important business that must be dealt with and that is the only way I can deal with it currently. Please help me! I have a Pantech Caper and my new phone is also a Pantech Caper.
    Thanks!
    Janelle

        JanelleNaomi,
    I'm glad to hear you already have another phone to use. It can be stressful to be without one. You should be able to use your old $50.00 plan, but you will have to call our Prepay Department at 1-888-294-6804 to to connect the replacement phone to your number and that plan.

  • Can my iPad with water damage be repaired?

    My iPad sustained mild water damage and will not power on.  Can it be repaired or is it permanently fried?

    Apple does not repair iDevices other than replace batteries.  this would be an out-of-warranty replacement, cost depending on your warranty/AppleCare+ coverage.
    If it has been water damaged and will not turn on, there is probably one or more short circuit involved that will mean little likelihood of repair.  You can take it to an Apple store genius bar and have the techs test it and pass final judgement.

  • My phone is water damaged. Will no longer connect to phone nor wi-fi. Any suggestions?

    Any suggestions to dry out an iPhone dropped in water?

    The most cited method is to stick it in a plastic bag of uncooked rice, and leave it for a week or even two.  Change the rice every couple of days though.  That will draw out the moisture, but it still may be fried anyway (odds are that anything major happened as soon as it got wet, and things started shorting out).

  • Extracting music from older (not iCloud compatible) iPod- old PC was damaged & I want to be able to add/ remove songs using my new PC (can't unload software properly- PC damaged beyond repair).

    I have an old iPod that was associated with a PC that has been destroyed (I didn't unload iTunes from it before it was damaged).  I know that if I plug the iPod into my new PC, it will erase all of my old material.
    Is there a way to extract the material from my old iPod, load it onto my new PC, and be able to manage my music & keep it on my iPod?
    I have an iPhone, but do not want to load all of the music onto that; my iPod (though older) still works perfectly fine.  I just need to be able to add/ remove songs, etc.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Mac Hard Drive Damaged Beyond Repair?

    Hello, My mac was fine and one day i went to turn it on and found it would not load :O I tried a safe boot, then tried single user mode but got I/O Errors and Invalid Node structure errors forever. I put the computer in Target disk mode and transferred the files i want to keep. Then in target disk mode i tried disk utility but was unable to repair the hard drive So i did the only other thing i thought would work, i erased the hard drive since i already have the files i need. Now Trying to load i get the Blinking folder with ?. so i created a recovery HD thumbdrive and ran disk utility, "Disk Utility Was Unable to repair the hard drive". Is The Hard Drive Toast? Should i buy i new one or have it replaced?
    Thanks.
