I-phone calendar settings

looking to find out if anyone has seen an update for the calendar on the i-phone. nothing major just a pet peeve. when you add an appointment and wish to repeat the appointment, you are only given a few options. eg., i wish to repeat something every 3 weeks but am not allowed to do so, is there a fix for that? or is that in a new app i need ot download. thanks in advance for your help!!

Only Apple can make this change. Tell them.

In the meantime, you'll need to enter those appointments on the computer then sync them.

As I mentioned earlier, you have to decide which calendar you want to use. You can either use Google or iCloud, but not both.
If you want to use your iCloud calendar, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Account (in the Calendar section) and set this to your iCloud calendar. After doing so, all new events you add to your calendar will be added by default to your iCloud calendar, and as a result, will appear on icloud.com and your computer (if it is syncing calendars with your iCloud account).
If, on the other hand, you want to use your Google calendar (as it sounds like you are doing with your iPod), simply add the same Google calendar to your phone and your computer.

Calendar Settings reset after reboot

Hi,
Could anybody please check if you have the same issue on your phone?
Sony Calendar resets settings after reboot.
For example, if I set "Week starts on" = "Monday" and reboot the phone, this settings will be back to "Sunday" (which is the default).
I am now running Calendar 20.0.A.2.5, but I believe this bug was there before as well (even on my old Xperia V, I believe)
P.S. I found this topic, but either I didn't understand the solution correctly or it doesn't work for me... I tried to disable the Calendar app, but it didn't help in any way...

But as a possible workaround, i suspect you have selected a country/region under Settings -> Language & input -> Language where the week normally is set to start on Sunday like English US? If you are in the Netherlands but want the phone on english you could try setting it to English UK instead to avoid this until i have more information.

I have managed to sync my iPhone 4 to my btyahoo calendar with caldav. All entries appear on the phone calendar on the correct date, but the time given is always 5 hours later than the (correct) time on the computer. How can I rectify this?

Why do the times for each event or appointment appear on the phone calendar exactly 5 hours later than the correct times entered into the Yahoo calendar on my P.C? Is there a way of rectifying this, either on the Yahoo calendar site, or on the iPhone?

If you're trying to sync an iCloud calendar, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar on your iPhone and make sure you have selected your iCloud calendar as your default.

Mail App and Mail, Contacts and Calendar Settings Crashing

After upgrading to 2.1 on 3G...
I posted a response to a post for Mail settings problem here http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1708101&tstart=0 but noticed that after restarting my phone now the Mail application crashes and in some cases the Contacts app if open more than 10 seconds.
I've noticed a few posts and possible fixes on the forums like updating the Region but none of those solutions worked for me. I'm hoping an Apple "Genius" would read this and offer a fix!

I'm having a similar issue;
I go into Settings -> Email, contacts, etc.
Then i scroll to almost the very bottom. I see the first two items of "Calendar settings", but if I scroll further settings crash and I'm shoved back to the homescreen. EXTREMELY frustrating since I'm in sweden and the time zone is london I think - all my meetings are pushed 1 hour ahead.
I have an iPhone 3G with the latest 2.1 firmware.

Advanced Calendar Settings - FILTERS - BUG!!!

I just found a software Bug (version 7.0.0.59). On the Advanced Calendar Settings, when you create a Filter based on the START DATE, the mask for the input value is "YYYYMMDD". Well, on the mobile, it stands for "YYYYDDMM".
And one other suggestion. it could be possible to setup one sync for "today - X days". This is how it should work. I would like to have my calendar entries beetween one month ago and all the future entries. Based on the sync date!

How can we use icloud to share phone calendars?

I have an icloud account. I would like to link my phone, my husband's phone and our ipad all to it. I would like to share music and games and calendar so that when I add something to my calendar it will appear in my husband's phone calendar as well. I do not however want to share contacts text messages email etc. How can I do this?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can share an Apple ID for iTunes, but each have a separate ID for iCloud (to keep your personal data separate). If you each then sign into the others ID as a secondary account at settings > mail, contacts, calendars and turn on calendars or anything else you wish to share with each other.

Chosen English language but my phone calendar shows in Arabic.

My company had given new iphone 5s to myself. Before using the phone I had chosen English language wherin all the tabs are in English but my calendar and dates are reflecting in Arabic language. Please help so that my phone calendar and dates I can see in English.

List view in I phone calendar

Since my last update, I've been unable to access the "list" view in the I phone calendar. I can access event list by day, and can search for specific events, but can no longer scroll through a full list of all events in my calendar. Does anyone know how to access this feature? It doesn't work to tap the search icon as described in some Apple support text..

7.1.1 separated the list view from the search view as a separate icon. Apparently tapping "search" to see the list was too confusing. Now having to tap a separate icon is confusing. Oh, well...

How can I Sync my android phone calendar to my iPad calendar

Trying to find out is there an easy way to get my android phone calendar to sync with my iPad calendar.

Assuming you can sync your android calendar over the air with a Gmail account, you can do the same with a Gmail account on an iPad that is created as an Exchange account. The same for syncing Google contacts.

Changing the calendar settings: Sunday as the first day of the week

Dear Masters of SAP universe,
In ECC6.0, I am using a LIS info-structure with the period split set to week.
I would like to know how can I change the calendar settings in order to consider Sunday as the first day of the week, instead of Monday.
For example:
A sales order created on Dec 12th creates the record 201049 in the info structure S900 - SPWOC.
I would like to have it as 201050, where 50 is the currently week in the system.
I already checked OSS notes and the transaction SCAL for customizing. But I did not find a solution this issue.
Your help is highly appreciated!

Calendar Settings

I recently returned my Droid and got an iPhone. I like the iPhone, but I've quickly noticed it is short on tweaking and extra settings.
My biggest concern right now is the lack of calendar settings. For example, I want to set my calendar so that there is an automatic alert created for every event I make. Also, I want to be able to tap the time and create an event on the calendar without having to add it and select the time. I don't like the views of the calendar either. But there are no options to change these things.
Can someone tell me a way to tweak these settings or can you recommend a better calendar app?

I just installed Icloud on my Iphone and PC (all versions as required) I checked mail, caledar and task. Outlook shows an Icloud calendar but none of the events that are on my phone calendar. Email is not syncing from phone to pc either. What do i do?

What you've outlined in this part of the post is all that icloud stores for you outside of the backup. If you want to restore from the icloud backup you will then have for all practical purposes a carbon restoration back to your device if you restore from the icloud backup.
