    How do I disconnect bt wifi from my phone, I signed in with my bt infinity security details, but now it selects bt wifi instead of my infinity when I am at home. I have taken the app off but it connects automatically still. I am going into wifi and having to select my own infinity wifi.

    @Daisymoo  Welcome to the forum. On the phone go to Settings > Wireless & networks > Wi-Fi settings > tap the BT Wi-Fi entry and choose Forget. That should ensure connection to your main broadband SSID, and the phone won't connect to BT Wi-Fi again until you re-enter the details. Be aware that if you subsequently connect to BT Wi-Fi away from home you may have to forget it again in order to reconnect to your home broadband.

  • BT FON Laptop and Android phone connection

    Can anyone help I am trying to connect my laptop to my BT FON wireless connection that is advertised by my BT homehub2.  The regular wireless is working and I can connect without any problem, but when I try to use the BTFON or BT Openzone networks neither will work!
    Tried following BTs instructions for connecting manually, connect to the network then use https://www.btopenzone.com:8443 in a browser and enter user name and password.  But the laptop could not access the website.
    The assigned IP address when connected to the BTFON network is 196.254.35.219, subnet 255.255.0.0 but no gateway?
    To add to this i can't get my android phone to connect using these wifi networks, again I have no problem connecting with the regular wireless from the homehub.  The phone trys to connect and it says an IP address is being allocated but it times out then trys again.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

  • How to find out phone connected with a PC

    Is there a way to programatically find out which IP phone is connected with a given PC? We have a need where an application will be installed on each PC, but instead of having the user manually enter the information about the PC, we want auto detect the phone connected with that PC.

    Old topic, but if anyone is interested I played around and got something working in VS 2005/C# using SharpPcap and the PacketCDP class from an app on codeproject called Pacanal. I had to make some changes to the PacketCDP.cs code to get it to work, but if you can get that far I believe it was relatively minor. The app I made sniffed the CDP packet for the phone devicename and then used that to call a CUAE app to log a phone into extension mobility. Here's some partial code:
    PcapDeviceList devices = SharpPcap.GetAllDevices();
    PcapDevice device = devices[i];
    device.PcapOnPacketArrival += new SharpPcap.PacketArrivalEvent( device_PcapOnPacketArrival );
    device.PcapOpen(true, 1000);
    string filter = "ether host 01:00:0c:cc:cc:cc";
    device.PcapSetFilter( filter );
    device.PcapStartCapture();
    private static void device_PcapOnPacketArrival(object sender, Packet packet)
    EthernetPacket eth = (EthernetPacket)packet;
    returnbool = PacketCDP.Parser(myTreeNode.Nodes, eth.Data, index, LItem, ref deviceName);
    HttpWebRequest request = (HttpWebRequest)
    WebRequest.Create("http://10.10.50.75:8000/emLogin?phone=" + deviceName + "&user=testuser");

  • No Phone connected DKu 5 and CA 42 with Nokia Suit...

    Hi I am trying to connect my mobile to my PC.
    I am running Windows 98 SE.
    My phone is a 6110i
    I also tried it on my daughter's 3220
    I bought a DKU 5 connector of the internet and installed the drivers.
    Then unstalled Nokia suite 5.8.
    Both operations went Ok.
    Connected the phone and cable but when I open the connection manager, I just get No phone connected.
    Have tried searching for a com port identification, but nothing there.
    I have now bougfht a CA42 cable for £29.95 from a nokia shop.
    Removed all the other software and started again.
    Then installed Nokia suite 5.8
    I still have the same report of no phone connected.
    I have noticed that with the new cable, once I plug it in after the software is loaded, it finds new hardware like Nokia Modem and various other connections and supposedly installs the drivers.
    I am totally disheartened now.
    Can any one help Please

    I'm afraid the problem is with the PC Suite version - 5.8 will not work with a 3220 nor a 6610i (I suppose you meant 6610i instead of 6110i?)
    So you need 2000/XP and the latest 6.x version to get both your and your daughter's phones connected.
    Thanks for the feedback.
    The PC is fairly old, so I will have to look at the cost, verses the functionality.

    I have a Dual Phone which I purchased 5 months ago.  I have had Skype on my laptop for quite a few years, and recently did an update as it requested.
    I now have problems with both phone and laptop, when trying to answer of make phone calls - all I get is a lot of noise - which sounds like a house alarm, and screeching!!
    Any advice - I have logged out of both laptop and Dual Phone and signed in again, and still no help.

  • Cannot connect to BT FON with various devices

    Hi all,
    This seems to be a common theme on these forums, but...
    I have never been able to get any of my devices to connect to a BT FON hotspot (both on my own hub and elsewhere).  I think it's pretty unlikely that there are faults with all of my devices.  Does anybody know how to get connected?
    Android phone (with BT FON app installed):
    When in a BT FON hotspot, WiFi connects and the app springs into life, but a few seconds after clicking "log in" I get a message saying "There has been a network error when trying to log in.  Would you like to try again?"
    iPhone (with BT FON app installed):
    When in a BT FON hotspot, the WiFi connects, but nothing happens (the BT FON app doesn't appear to do anything at all).  Launching Safari and attempting to navigate to https://www.btopenzone.com:8443 just times out.
    MacBook (Mac OS X 10.7):
    In a BT FON hotspot, the WiFi connects, but launching any web browser does not result in redirection to the BT FON landing page (as the "how to connect" advice suggests).  As with the iPhone, attempting to navigate to https://www.btopenzone.com:8443 just times out.
    Thanks for any help you can offer!

    Update: this seems to be working now (tested with Android and iPhone 4, not tried MacBook yet).
    I don't know why it's started working, but I did two things in the meantime:
    - Logged into BT Yahoo! mail for the first time
    - Changed my BT broadband password
    The devices still won't connect to FON through my hub (v3), but I suspect that's because of the reason detailed in this sticky:
    http://community.bt.com/t5/BB-Out-About/Troubleshooting-BT-Fon-issues/td-p/226955
    This doesn't matter to me (I only want to connect to FON when I'm away from home), so I haven't tried resetting the hub.

  • I have a wireless home phone connect device. Can call out on it when dial tone present, but most times cannot receive calls since purchase. Anyone else having a  problem with their home connect device?

    Have had Wireless Home Phone connect device refreshed and updated three times since I purchased it in September 2014. Last tech I worked with on it initialized an NRB to check the network. I checked the location of the tower, which is less than one mile up the hill with clear line of site. The device always has two antennas on it. The device is great when it does work, but most of the time it rings three times and then jumps to an automated message saying the person I am calling is not available. I've actually gone up there several times to try an fix the device, but always end up calling a Verizon tech who has me unplug it, pull the battery, and they do some network stuff and then we turn it back on and it works. After the last time on 10/02/14, I called it and got the message. I drove up there, 100 miles one way, and called it while standing in the room. Got the same message. I picked up the phone, heard a dial tone and dialed my phone and it range through. I hung that phone connected to the device and call it using my cell phone. It rang through. I went home and tried to call it the next day. Again it did not ring through and I got the message after three rings. I call another phone at the facility and had them call me on my mom's phone and it is fixed it again. The fix last for a day or two and then it's broken again, like it is today. If it's a network problem then it must be fairly close to the area because no matter what we do it fails again. So much for the 99.98% reliable. This thing is a piece of junk!
    I purchased this device and put it on my plan so that my mother who we placed in a home at 96 years old would have a phone connection that she could use and wouldn't flip her out. My family and her family has not been able to faithfully connect with her at this critical time in her life. I am giving Verizon 10 more days to figure this out and then I am going to ask for a total refund not to mention how much time and travel I have put into this piece of junk. Either the home connect transceiver is broken or the network is broken. Why should I pay close to $70 for a service that has not worked more than several days out of 35 days? Also I have spent close to three hours on the phone with decent technical people, but it's my time. I should send Verizon a bill for every time I have gone up there to fix this device as well.
    What perplexes me is that a regular cell phone would have sufficed, but because Verizon has to have a data connection that is not available on a regular phone and it was going to cost me $30/month, I decided to go with the home connect. Seemed like a nice solution for an older person who would have a hard time using a cell phone and keeping it charged. Plus after all the fees for getting it connected, it only cost $20/month. That would be a pretty good thing, IF IT WORKED....... The other thing that irks me is, why do I have to pay for a data connection when the cell phone Verizon originally provided can't even access the network. What ever happened to adding a phone line for $10 bucks\ month? All I wanted was a simple phone. She would not be able to use anything more complex and all she needs is a phone line period.
    I have no problem paying for something that works and does what it should, but this is ridiculousness. The MTF on this device is somewhere around 1 to 2 days. Out of 365 days that's about a 96.5% failure rate....... Want my advice? Get ride of this device. It sucks and it's bad marketing.

        jsavage9621,
    It pains me to hear about your experience with the Home Phone Connect.  This device usually works seamlessly and is a great alternative to a landline phone.  It sounds like we've done our fair share of work on your account here.  I'm going to go ahead and send you a Private Message so that we can access your account and review any open tickets for you.  I look forward to speaking with you.

    This issue never happened before with IOS 5 since I bought the new phone in Oct 2011.

  • PC Suite says no phone connected, but working

    After updating to 6.82.22 (from 6.78) I couldn't connect to my 6233 via Bluetooth (Widcomm 4.01.700). It hang's after entering authorization code on the phone. I uninstalled PC suite, used PC Suite cleaner and rebooted. After installing from the scratch I could complete the pairing process. After next reboot PC Suite says "no phone connected", no cable driver installed, no supported BTstack found - but every component of PC Suite is working and I have full access to the phone. OS: Win2k Server SP4, BTstack: Widcomm 4.01.700 PC Suite 6.82.22

    Yes - thanks. Now it says connected and gives the BTstack Version in system information. Seems to be a problem with startup, even if the BT tray icon launch up before PC Suite and PC Suite seems to be the last to launch.

  • Connecting to zon- fon free Internet

    I have been with Bt since bt openworld and recently had trouble with their router, well actually when it broke it was my router.
    Bt eventually supplied another one when I purchased another package. I don't really need another package as I don't use a lot of Internet time in the UK, and was going to quit.
    Bt came up with a plan which included bt fon which as I read it enables the user to access the net pretty much worldwide if they open up their router for other foneiros to use.
    As I spend the majority of my time in Portugal I thought what a wonderful Idea, I will be able to log into zon-fon free Internet, which is bt,s partner in Portugal.
    Its actually impossible as I have only once succeeded on getting onto the landing page. The bt page says that I have opted in and the fon page says that I am an alien.
    After some 2 months of looking for a fon-zon hot spot, at first bt said that I should change my location ( I can pick up with good signal strength 2 or 3 fon-zon free Internet spots. Yet cannot get to the landing page. Now either something is desperately wrong with fon or someone is telling fibs or of course my laptop is kaput but it does work more or less everywhere else and it does pick up zon-fon free Internet but I cannot get to the landing page to log in. Has anyone else had this problem in this area ( priai da rocha)
    There is little point in staying in either bt or fon if it doesn't work. So far have been very little help even though they are taking the money, for a service they are failing to provide. I have sent in screen shots showing my connection status, Fon seem to want to help but so far haven't come up with any solution. And bt hasn't as yet done anything. I have a suspicion that the fon system was just invented to spy on us anyway, not that that bothers me at all, as the help centre seems to be in the USA, well they call it the help centre. Has anyone any ideas that I can try as I have spent a fortune on 3G wireless dongle time with vodaphone, when it should have been on free wifi.

    from a diagnostic tool provided with a sitcom wireless dongle it suggests that I have excellent contact with the fon modem. If the modem wasnt registered to fon then it would not come up as a fon free internet connection. I agree that it seems that the fon modem that I connect to is not connected to the internet but have all five not been connected secondly fon are supposed to check that internet connections are available by testing them. failure to leave your modem available results in you losing your fon status. when I check my fon status with bt mine is ok. so all 5 fon connections breaking the agreement I dont think so. I continue to think that bt are not putting any effort into sorting out bt fon problems . Has any one else in Portugal had any problems with connecting to zon-fon-free-internet. Indeed it should not be a problem for bt to come up with some sort of answer, if anyone has managed to get through someone sensible at Bt I would very much like to know.
    regards

    Whenever I connect my phone (LG VX8100) to my MacBook Pro through bluetooth, my mouse starts reacting slowly. It lags for a couple seconds then it's fine, lags for a couple seconds then it's fine. What's the deal? Logic tells me the signals interfere, but how do I solve this? I just recently bought the mouse, keyboard, and MBP, and I'm pretty sure that I have all the firmware updates. Please help!

    My computer does the mouse lagging thing even without a phone connected or an external mouse. Anything from selecting something on the dock to to scrolling through my applications with the arrow keys. Also, the camera laggs as well, if I open photobooth the camera lags and is not a consistent picture. If anyone can help me i'd appreciate it. • Trying to access WLAN with no phone connectivity ...

    Hi,
    I have a c3 which I use to access the internet with WLAN.  No problem in the house as the signal from my WIFI is good, however when I enter a room with no phone connectivity (no network coverage) I can't connect via WLAN. The message "Packet Data not allowed" comes up.
    I just don't understand, why does it need phone connectivity to use WLAN. I thought the whole point on WLAN was to access via an alternative source,  Can anyone help?
    Thanks
    Hattie

    If you're outside the WLAN area, the device wants to make a Packet-data (gprs) connection. Ask your provider for the right settings.
