I-phone repeatedly asking for apple I.D.password
a month ago my phone began asking for a password for an i-cloud account
connected to an email account that no longer exists
i would just ignore it and go ahead with making my call or sending message.
today it has begun freezing up AND my attempts to figure things out on my mac pro
has led me on a question and answer exercise that just goes on an on leading me back to go.
so i have a frozen phone, a lap top that just keeps asking for apple id's and passwords
and i'm literally having panic attacks.
(i purchased a good old fashioned phone so i can reach my son )
I encountered this on my son's iPod Touch. I tried an 'Update All', but since he has one or two apps from his sister's Apple ID and she wasn't here to enter her password (which stopped the whole process!) I wanted to just update the other apps (purchased on my Apple ID). However, since there wasn't an option to skip an app, it seemed the only way to update the others (around 50 apps) was to click on all the update buttons individually. That would have been annoying enough, but fancy being asked to type in my password for every… single… app!
Absolute madness. Does Apple not think through these things anymore? They used to pay such careful attention to little details of the user experience. Very frustrating.

My phone keeps asking for apple id and password
After the Hacking saga of earlier in the week I managed to restore my phone to the last back up now when I click on an app it asks for my apple id and pass word I enter and the message disappears then I go to open the app again and the pop up box comes back any ideas
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

my new iphone serial number is DX3LGJH3FML6
I am amazed by the number of people who claim that they've forgotten their Apple ID, password, security questions, and rescue email address. I'm wondering what percentage of these people have stolen property. Regardless, you can get your Apple ID here: Settings>Store>tap on your AppleID.
FYI: you posted in the wrong forum. -

Just updated my iPhone 5s from ios 8.1 to 8.3. After the install it asked for Apple ID and password and to allow it to sync to Mac and iTunes. After following the steps my phone kept restarting - turning on and off and goes blank. How do I fix this??
I have had about 9 iOS devices at work do this.
The fix and it will wipe out anything on your iphone is to connect it to your computer and have the latest version on iTunes open. Hold the Power/Sleep and Home button till it blanks out. Keep holding the home button untill it says recovery mode on the screen of the computer and do a restore. -
i bought iphone 5 and then i updated to ios but now its asking for apple id and password (this phone was registered to find my iphone) what now?

Ever since I updated to Yosemite my mac book pro keeps asking for Apple Id and password but will not accept them. What can I do?
Try the advice here. I had the same problem and it worked for me.
You have to delete the "SC Info" folder from /Users/Shared. You will have to use Terminal to enable you to see this folder first. Make sure iTunes is not running when you delete the "SC Info" folder
There is an article from Apple on this here. The "SC Info" folder contains iTunes authorization information.
I did this two weeks ago and iTunes accepted by login. I haven't been asked for my AppleID or password since. -
thanx for replly lllaass, but when i authorized it,,computer ask for apple id and password,i put id and password,,but again it says, you have already authorized more than 5 computer,to authorized this computer you ahve to deauthorized othe computer"what does this actually mean, replly plz?
You can only have five computers authorized for one iTunes account. You need to deauthorize another computer and then authorize this computer. If yu do not have access to the other computers you can deauthorthize all computer and then authorize the one you want. You can only deauthorize all once a year. See the following for how to deauthorize all.

I just brought a apple 5c from the market and tried to load it but it's asking for Apple ID and password what a wast off money how do I unlock it now
You can't. It is locked to the previous owner's account.
Have the previous owner remove the iPhone from their account or get your money back.

I won't b able to activate my Iphone.asking for apple I'd and password the I d and password I am entering .error coming on phone saying that u can't activate with this I'd I check with my nearest authorist agent in Hyderabad india.they want me call on customer service number 1800- they want my purchase copy or correct I'd the I'd and password I having its not working for this can anyone help me please.
Sorry, but you have encountered the Activation Lock:
ACTIVATION LOCK
The only person who can remove it is the person who put it on. You will need to contact the previous owner and have them follow one of the sets of instructions in this link:
Find My iPhone Activation Lock: Removing a device from a previous owner’s account - Apple Support
If you cannot do that, then see if there is any way of getting a refund from the seller. If you cannot do that, then you have a device that is unusable and won't be able to be restored.
Sorry

I have an iPhone 4s and it is now deactivated. the phone is asking for my apple account and password. but i have forgotten my password. i tried to reset it on iforgot.apple.com, and when i entered my apple id the next thing that appeared on screen is that i have to chose either email verification or security questions. then i click the security question then it asked about my birthday. there where only asking the month and day. then i entered my birthday which is March 8.
so can somebody help me with this problem?
my apple id account is "[email protected]"
thanks in advance! The email you should NOT have published, is your iCloud, not Apple ID
You Apple ID is a valid email address
This is a user forum, not Apple customer service.
I gather the security question did not work.
If you have an email address, why not use that?
If this fails you have to contact support and schedule help. -
Repeatedly asking for Apple ID Password with every app update iOS7
Since I updated to iOS7, I have to type in my password for every app update. I don't want to auto-update all the apps; I like an older FB app. How can I get my phone to remember my password like before in the app store?

Why does iOS prompt repeatedly ask for Apple ID password?
Dear Apple Support Community,
Device: iPad 4th Generation (64GB WiFi + Cell/LTE)
iOS Version: Latest version at time of publish - 6.1.3 (6.1.4 is iPhone specific)
SITUATION: I am prompted for Apple ID password every time I access App Store or iTunes. Typically, this should only be required to confirm purchase(s) or if password has "timed out" between purchases.
Additional Information: I suspect this is associated with Pre-ordered Movies and Music. This was experienced only after Pre-orders on all versions of iOS 5 and 6.
Thanks in advance for your help, guidance, and coaching a "Technoid."Michael,
Thank you for proposing a solution. However, it appears my restrictions are "Off". Your thoughts appreciated.
David
