Unfortunately, you cannot downgrade to the old iOS.
Although, you may find this article helpful.

  • I am having tremendous difficulty sending simple voice text messages, or typed text messages to non I-phone users. Picture text messages will not send at all and can only be sent to other i-phone users. Is anyone else haing this problem ??  Big concern

Well this is stupid - I wrote the question above and now it is telling me the message is blank - how dumb is this.
I am having tremendous difficulty sending sipmle typed texts, voice texts and picture text messages to non I- phone users.
Simple text messages are sporadic and seem to be impacted by whether I incluse a subject or not - picture texts will not go at all.
Anyone else having this problem ???

It's a corporate phone so will need to check. Will not send text messages to non I-phones if they contain a "subject" or a picture.  Wierd - regular voice or typed text messages are fine.

Unable to understand whether the problem is with the Phone Software version or with PC Companion software.....
Or is there any other way thro which i can update my phone software.....
    Please some one help....

    Hi there
An alternative method is to use Sony Ericsson Update Service to update your phone. All what you need to do is download the application here and follow the on screen instructions to update your phone.
You can also update from within the phone over Wifi by going to Settings - About Phone - Software Update and Update now.

  • How can i remove the phone number from the text messages that i receive in the notification center

how can i remove the phone number from the text messages that i receive in the notification center?

You choose whether to see text messages in Notification Center or not.  If you elect to see them, they will display the phone number (unless they are from a contact in your contacts list).
You can choose not to see them at Settings > Notification Center > Messages.

  • Which phones can be sent text messages?

Which phones can be sent text messages?

On the iPad the Message app will ONLY send iMessages to other iOS Devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) that have activated iMessage.
There are 3rd party apps, such as Free Text, that will allow sending text messages in SMS format to other devices.

  • Phone unable to get text messages or call out?

Today my phone stopped accepting or sending text messages and it stopped taking calls and sending calls. I've restarted it and rebooted and turned it off and on and have done everything in my power that I can think of. What's going on and what do I need to do? (I'm up to date on billing so it's not that) It also says that I have full signal and 3G.

        Hi Schaem94,
Yikes! No service is no good! It's important to have a working phone at all times. Let's get this fixed. What happens when you attempt to place a call? Any error message? Any liquid or physical damage to the device? Try a soft reset to the device http://bit.ly/tXe7I4. The device sounds like the software is frozen, and a soft reset will reset refresh the system. Keep me posted.

  • HT5622 my new samsung phone will not receive text messages from my old iphone friends and family.  I was told that I need to close my icloud account in order to correct this issue but I cannot find a way to close my icloud.  Help?

I cannot receive text messages on my new samsung phone from any of my old iphone contacts.  I was told that I need to close my icloud in order to fix this problem but i can't find a way to close my icloud account.  Help...

You can try changing the password for the Apple ID you were using for iMessage on your iPhone by going to https://iforgot.apple.com.  If that doesn't help, you'll have to contact Apple support for assistance: http://www.apple.com/support/contact/.

  • IOS7 update is now causing all phones to get all text messages

I have an iphone, my son has an iphone and my other son has an ipod.  Since the iOS7 update, all the devices get the texts that anyone who text messages me from an iphone sends.
    How do I stop this?
I have tried going on itunes to manage multiple accounts but there is nothing on this.
    Thank you

Best is everyone uses their own Apple ID.
Here's another way but not as good.
In Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > for iPhone use only the phone number (not Apple ID), for iPod touch use only e-mail address (not your Apple ID)

  • Looking for Mac software that manages text messages on Nokia 6300

iSync only manages contacts and calendar. How do I send and receive text messages on my Mac? I would greatly appreciate it if anyone in the forum can give a hint. I have been using Nokia PC Suite in VMWare Fusion and it was very slow and annoying. Thanks in advance.

    1) it can't read text messages from my Nokia phone;
If you look at the compatibility list you'll see that its because your phone does not provide a public way to read SMS over Bluetooth. So, nothing that can be done about that.
    2) I am still trying to find out how I can send a message to many recipients at the same time.
Just enter more than one number into the TO field of a message. You can also send to Address Book groups.

  • Phone sending out ghost text messages

Today 2 of my friends received ghost text messages with no information in them. The only reason i caught this was because I asked them had they received a message from me. Both said yes, and it was blank. This occured once before about a month ago, but I never thought to ask if they had received a message. I checked my account this morning and it says I received 2 picture/video messages this morning (WHICH I HAVE NOT) and one of the lines indicates that someone else sent a message and a received the same message on my phone line. This is beyond weird.
I have spoken to a few others and they said they have had similar issues. I have an LG ALLY, I've had it for almost 2 yrs and this is the first time I've ever had any problems with "phantom" text messages and random charges on my account.
PLEASE ADVISE. Any help would be appreciated. I've already restarted my phone.
    Thanks. J.

It couldn't have been a pocket dial situation because the phone is kept on a counter, not in a pocket or purse. Hopefully it doesn't happen again, but the issue with the text message detail saying a message was charged on my account that I never sent is simply odd.
This doesn't address the fact that someone may have sent it without your knowledge, or do you also have your phone in sight of you 24/7?
You may also want to keep in mind you do have an Android phone. With this phone, you have the ability to download and install apps to your phone. To be able to use these apps, you have to accept the terms and conditions of each and every app which you install and use. Some apps state in the terms and conditions that it may send/receive text messages. Do you read and remember all of the terms and conditions for each and every one of the apps you have installed on your device?
