I photo states there are no photos
I have just opened up iphoto and it says there are no photos there at all - however there in excess of 10,000! I have stored them all on an external hard drive, and it has been working fine up until this week. However if I search on all images they are all there and under the correct link - my book/iphoto library/data etc.
However when I click on the external HD my book and open iphoto from in there there is still no photos visible. The library manager is still directing iphoto to the correct place so I am not sure how I can now get all my photos back into iphoto - please help!!
how can I tell.

Trying to transfer photos from mini sd card via adapter to iPad but get there are no photos message
Can anyone help, I am trying to transfer photos from a mini sd card via a apple adapter but get a message telling me there are no photos to transfer. Any ideas on a fix? Graham1955
The photos must be located inside a folder named DCIM, and their names must have eight characters plus the .jpg
iPad SD Card Reader supports SD standards up to SDHC, miniSD and microSD with adapters, and MMC.
SDXC is not supported. -
Suddenly, one of my iPhone libraries will not open with 86 gigs of images: it opens and says there are no photos, yet by other looking, all the images are there and when backing up, it takes an hour.
Somehow iPhoto application will not recognize the images (over 13,000) in the file.
Any suggestions as to how to fix the matter<
Dr. Harris, BermudaTo move from iPhoto 08 (which is v7) to iPhoto 11 (which is v9) requires that you purchase iPhoto 11. Your software update is running just fine. V7.1.5 is last version of iPhoto 08.
Never import one Library to another. Every version and thumbnail is imported like a distinct photo, you lose all your Albums, Keywords etc., the link between Original and Previews is destroyed, the non-destructive editing feature is ruined and so on. In summary: it's mess.
As to the problematic library:
Try these in order - from best option on down...
1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
2. Download <a href="http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/"><b><u>iPhoto Library Manager</b></u></a> and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 08* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption. -

Pleas help -I have no memoy, I can't even download appsTry following these directions:
Connect the iOS device to the computer.
Choose Start > Computer.
Double-click the logo for the device to browse its camera folders.
Navigate to [iOS device]\Internal Storage\DCIM\100APPLE.
Manually copy the content in this folder to your computer, wherever you would like to store it.
Disconnect your device. Open the Camera Roll and manually delete all the pictures from the iPhone Camera Roll that you just imported.
If you still need help, please don't hesitate to ask. -
I imported about 300 RAW images yesterday and worked with them for about an hour. iPhoto locked up on me and I rebooted. After I did the event icon for that event is now gray and it says there are no photos. I know the photos are there. Any idea how I can recover them?
a best practice to is to never have any computer program (including iPhoto) delete the photos from the card but to import the photos and keep them and then after at least one successful backup cycle has completed and then reformat the card -- I use three very large (32 GB) cards in rotation so I do not reformat for typically a year or more giving me one more long term backup of my photos
Back up your iPhoto library, Depress and hold the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - rebuild your iPhoto library database

Hi, im having trouble with my iPod 4th generation. I connect my USB into the right hole and my computer accepts it at first to start looking for photos and videos then, a message comes up saying there are no photos and videos on my iPod. I have been searching how to connect it and I cant find the answer Im looking for. I have a Windows 7 computer and my iPod is a 4th generation. I am not very technical so dont try and use software i dont know.
~Thank you!How did the photos get on the iPod?
If they are not in the iPod's Camera Roll album (e.g., synced to the iPod), you need a third-party program like TouchCopy or PhoneView -
"There are no photos in this library."
I recently upgraded to WIndows 7 Home Premium, updated my Apple TV to 3.0 and then 3.0.1. I am using iTunes 9.0.2.
I can no longer stream photos to my television. I get a message that my library is loading and then "There are no photos in this library." With the previous Apple TV firmware, I would get this message but eventually, the photos would appear and I could browse folders and view photos. Now the photos never appear. I can still stream music and podcasts.
How can I fix this problem so I can see my photos on my television, streamed through my Apple TV?
Thanks.I have the same issue. It works sometimes when I select ALL events. When I change back to selected events, I get the error. Everything else streams without any issues.
Apple, what's going on here??? -
There are no photos or music in my apple tv
There are no photos, no music in my apple tv
I've selected the "Photos" tab for the aTV device, checked the "Sync photos from iPhoto" box, then chosen "Selected albums" and checked the box for one of the albums that are displayed. When the "Apply" button appears, I hit it, then hit "Sync" when it shows up. But when I select "Photos" on the aTV, it keeps telling me that "There are no photos on your Apple TV." I have tried everything, including checking the firewall, it seems to be disabled. I see a user said he had to enable iTunes file sharing in the firewall? I had this working perfectly in the past, I had to send my computer for a factory repair and the photos I had in the apple tv disappeared. Ever since I got my computer back this problem persists. Please helpNo, nothing is really syncing, I can download to my the AppleTV through the wireless Internet connection just fine. And I have made sure the disk is not full. As a matter of a fact, I have had hundreds of pictures on the AppleTV and still be able to download series, etc.
The problem seems to be in the connection with the computer, I have checked firewalls, there are none. This are the steps I take, maybe you can help me knowing. I go to Itunes, under devices I find the AppleTV, then I click click to connect, I put in the code that AppleTV gives you when you go to settings-computers-add ahared itunes library. Then I click the photos tab in itunes, check the content I want, click apply, but nothing happens, there is no bar that says it is synching. -
My Photo Stream works and I have iCloud control panel installed. The photo stream sync is selected, but when I go to the my photo stream folder on my windows PC there are no photos in the file.
mlvov,
I did as you said and went to the icloud control panel on my Windows 8 Laptop to be sure I was looking at the correct folder for my photo stream. All my "shared" albulms pushed to my Laptop and are up-to-date with the exception of the "photostream" album. If I create a "shared stream album" and place photo's in it on the phone; I can see the photos on my laptop. I dont get it. I had a iphone 4s and had zero isues and now with my new nifty iPhone 5s it doesent work.
What am I not doing correctly.
Thanks,
iPhone, 5s, iOS 7.0.2 -
iPhoto 9.6, after subscribing to a photo stream it reports there are no photos in that stream - the stream shows (right title but it says there are no photos in the stream - other streams are just fine - on my iPad (iOS 8.0.2) they show fine.. Fixes?
Same issue here both with my iphone 5S as well as my iPad2. THe sync to my macbook air does not complete and it shows a large overcapacity level when connected, but once I disconnect there is plenty of room (4 GB) available, not a 20 GB overage.
