I photo wont open fully

I open my 10.6.8 version of iphoto and it opens as far as showing a blank template of its operating window and the bar at the top but with the loading rotating circular curser so i can access any drop down menus in the bar

Try these in order - from best option on down...
1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
2. Download <a href="http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/">iPhoto Library Manager</a> and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 08* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

After reinstalling the software did you create a new library and then imported photos from your old library folder? It sounds like what you're seeing are thumbnail files that were imported as full size files. Check on and see what the size and dimensions are. Do you have the original library folder anywhere? If so then launch iPhoto with the Option key depressed and, when asked, navigate to that original folder and select it to open. See what you get then.\

My photoshop CS5 wont open fully! How can i fix it?

When I click on my photoshop icon it loads and opens. But instead of opening fully and looking normal, it only opens the top and sidebars. There is no white workspace box in the middle. All i see is my desktop in the middle. It is like there is nothing there. Its like the program is incomplete or something. I need help I cant figure it out! Nokia Photos wont open/load. help! (Event Details...

Hey guys!
First off, I really, really need this data to be recovered so any help would be appreciated....ok so....
In short: I have a n95 8gb. I store texts, messages, etc on Lifeblog/Photos. I was using Nokia Lifeblog until they made us download Nokia Photos. Since then I've used Nokia Photos. Now apparently Ovi's the new thing and Photos support ended.
When I open Photos, nothing happens after the splashscreen. I've tried installing the latest version; didnt work. I restored it back to the old. Here is the Windows Event Log. I run Windows XP Pro SP 3. Please help me figure out what this means and how to fix it..
Thank you in advance! Any help in helping me to find the destination files for the text messages or opening the program with be greatly appreciated!

Which operating system you are using? Xp/Vista? 32 or 64 bit?
If you want to make backup of all your phone entries, why donot you try Content Copier of Nokia PC Suite 7.0.8.2???

Photos Wont Open Even After Restart

Every time I open up Photos it says "Unexpected error occurred please quit and restart the application." I click the quit button which quits the program and when I reopen it, the same message comes back up. I have shut down my computer, restarted my computer, messed with my router and wifi, nothing is working. Any tips?

Download the images from iCloud onto the desktop, then drag and drop them into the Navigator panel in Keynote.

Itune wont open fully

I only get a fraction of the Itune Windows when starting.
Uninstalled the program, shut down PC, reinstalled, same thing.
Windows 7 64bits + iTunes64Setup, last version.

FireFox doesn't fully close so whenever I reopen it refuses to open secure sites I had up when I closed it; it keeps thinking that the tab is already open and wont open another one. How do you fix this?

Whenever I close Firefox and then reopen it later on it opens the last webpage I had open before closing the browser instead of my homepage. It seems that exiting Firefox doesn't fully shut it down and just puts it into hibernation mode. This has become a problem because when I have a secure webpage open when I close the web browser, without logging out of the page, and then try to go to that page again it thinks that it's already open and wont open another page for me. This means that I can't even navigate to the page to log out. I think it might be just a setting with Firefox 4 but not sure which one, any suggestions?

I want to print photo's from my I3. They appear to be saved in photo cache but they wont open. Only way seems to be to e-mail to myself, any help?

I can't print photos taken from my phone. After syncing they appear in a photo cache but wont open and the software from my printer can't do it either. Also tried searching and having Iphone plugged in whilst printing and the printer also can not find the phone to download.

Photos taken with iphone are NOT part of the sync process at all. You should be importing them to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera.

I am having problems exporting my time lapses from quick time pro i need to save my files as photo jpegs but the standard video compression window will not open fully,

i am having problems exporting my time lapses from quick time pro i need to save my files as photo jpegs but the standard video compression window will not open fully, it just keeps my mac (old 1.6Ghz 2.5 GB sdram G5 still good for most stuff i need) spinning for ever but i can see compression type H.264 selected and the other setting but i can not select any other options as it still thinking but never opens! why is this happening how do i get round it?
my work flow is: 300 images shot on a 5d mark II medium jpegs opened in Light Room cropped to 16:9 then exported and opened in quick time i can save a .mov H264 giving me files sizes of 14 mb for a 16 second time lapse, mp4 9 mb. the only way i can get large files is saving as a self contained movie then i get 300mb files.
i need to save my files 1920 x 1080 photo jpeg codec as i want HD quality.
i am sure there is a simple way round this?

It is very difficult to offer troubleshooting suggestions when the "os version" you are using is unknown as each os has their own troubleshooting solutions.
How large is your hard drive and how much hard drive space do you have left?

What version of iPhoto are you using? 9.6 is the current version.
Do a backup.
Quit the application.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.iPhoto.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

There's a glitch somewhere. iphoto just wont open. upgraded to yosemite and downloaded iPhoto upgrader and it doesn't work, just keeps telling me to upgrade when I did already or quit, so no way to do photos on this brand new mac. that's a pity!!

You need to have iPhoto 11 v9.6 (which you can get from the App Store) to use iPhoto on Yosemite. If you already have iPhoto 11 then the update is free. Otherwise it's a purchase.

No changes were made. I saw in one of the threads where someone said to repair the database(which didn't work) or Rebuild the database(which did work). Thanks to one all for the support.
