I play music from my iPhone via Bluetooth on the car radio. The phone also connects over the radio. Can I turn off Bluetooth for phone and leave it on for music?

I haven't tried it yet, but I believe this would disconnect Bluetooth for both the phone and music. I have a 2013 Hyundai Sonata if this will help.

Can't turn off Bluetooth

Just realized that I can't turn off Bluetooth on my iBook. If I go to the menu bar, the "Turn Bluetooth Off" item is dimmed. The "Turn Bluetooth Off" button in System Preference is also dimmed.
What's going on here? Can anyone help me out?

There are no bluetooth devices connected to this computer. As well, when I look in the Bluetooth preferences in System Preferences, it says that the Device Name is Unavailable.

dont you know your apple ID password ?
IF you know that, try restart your iPhone if it doesnt work try restoring your device. If it doesnt work again, you have hardware problem. Try changing your screen.

Smart Connect can't turn off Bluetooth

Hello,
I purchased an Xperia Z3 Compact and Smart Connect is unable to turn off Bluetooth at the end of an action. Below is the setup I have been trying to get work.
- Bluetooth turned on manually
- Turn on Bluetooth headphones.
Smart Connect:
- Start Action:
     - Connect Bluetooth headphones
     - Start Walkman App
     - Play track
     - Adjust Volumes
- End Action:
     -Disconnect Bluetooth headphones
     - Pause track
     - Turn off Bluetooth
The problem is that the Bluetooth will not turn off and I must do it manually. The Bluetooth on and off works for wired headphones, but not for Bluetooth headphones. Can this be addressed or at least send me information to get this fixed?

I switched them both to Off, turned phone off/on, but the envelope icon and the message alert still pop up as soon as a message arrives. I need the privacy of not having the person sitting next to me seeing that I just got a message from "Bob."

Well, the iPhone will always alert you when you receive a text message. If you don't want the phone to show "Bob's name" then put "None of your business" in the name for all your contacts so that when you get a text, the person sitting next to you and staring at your screen will see "None of your business" instead of the real name of the sender. Other than teaching the people around you to be polite and not read your phone screen unless invited to do so by you, there is little else you can do.

10.8.3 update can't turn off bluetooth

Ok. Upgraded to 10.8.3. Bluetooth, which I always keep off, turned itself on. Tried to disable it, but the off is greyed out, and when I tried to unlock the screen to make changes in system preferences, it just locks back up and gives me no options. I am looged into an administrator account, I have tried rebooting, starting up from an external drive and doing a disk utilities permission repair on my main drive, resetting the SMC, still no luck. This was obviously a 10.8.3 issue.... I am using a 15in Macbook Pro, circa 2010, 3/06ghz intel core 2 duo, 8gb ram.

Go into your Bluetooth settings and the click the advance button, and make sure the Allow Bluetooth devices to wake this computer is unchecked. Also make sure you uncheck any items in the window for serial ports if you have any in the box.

Background is I can't hook up my time capsule directly to my internet connection via network cable. I tried to extend the network via Wifi, but that did not work. At the moment I have two wireless networks, one with internet connection and another one with my time capsule. So to use time machine I have to change my network all the time.

The AirPort Express will connect to your existing wireless network if the network is using WPA2 Personal or WPA/WPA2 Personal wireless security settings.
So, it can join the network as a client and then provide an Ethernet signal to your Time Capsule.
Be sure to configure the Time Capsule to operate in Bridge Mode so that it will be operating on the same network.

You don't send it back to the cloud since it never left the cloud.
You can delete indovidual songs from the iPod, or if all music is available in your iTunes library on your computer, you can remove the music from your iPhone via the iTunes sync process.

A while ago I forgot the password to my apple id, and when i tried to reset it it wouldn't accept my birthday for the security questions and when I tried to reset it by email, I never got an email (I checked my spam and junk folders too). So I made a new Apple ID. I recently got a new Macbook Pro and I need to transfer music from my iPhone 5 to my mac, but it will only let me transfer the purchases i made with my new Apple ID. is there any way i can transfer the music that I bought with my previous apple id?

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.
Creating a new Apple ID to address this issue should only be done when desperate to make a purchase.

Remove the iPhone from the listing in the car. Turn off the car. Remove the car from the listing in the iPhone. Then put the car into discovery/pairing mode. Turn the Bluetooth on for the phone putting it in discovery/pairing mode. The two should connect.

The genuine Apple adapter works for me, most cheap knockoffs do not support sound ,it is usually in the micro print at bottom of the ebay offerring
It is pricey by comparison but it works and the knock offs usually don't pay the patent licence fee hence they guess the technology that is in the lightning plug
